Event || Mysterious Fathoms Below
Who: All characters who signed up
When: June 23rd-25th
Where: Ka'Pandol, the underwater city
What: While the outworlders and their guides are touring the new arena at Ka'Pandol, the city begins to flood. It is up to them to activate the ancient drainage system beneath the city before the Blitzball Association is forced to cancel the upcoming tournament.
The Zora guide, Pharce, is leading the group from the Curti Center through the center of town, waxing poetical about the legend of the First Zora, when the sirens begin to wail. At first, the residents of Ka'Pandol wave it off as a drill, but the sirens do not stop, and as they walk, the visitor shoes are beginning to get soaked through with sea water that is slowly rising.
"Come along, quickly, all of you!" the guide calls, leading the group to the Bureau of Tourism near the city center. As they walk, the group will see the aquatic residents quickly deploying bubble helmets around their 'exotic' pets -dogs, cats, parrots, squirrels- heads, just in case City Management takes their time righting whatever issue the dome is having.
"Inside, please. Safety first is our motto, so let's get you outfitted," Pharce says, waiving them inside. Each person is given one of the patented Ka'Pandol Bubble Helm, which will allow them to breath comfortably for several hours. Those that cannot swim are issued an emergency life vest as well.
The water had reached knee-level now. An emergency evacuation message broadcasts from loudspeakers.
"Well, yes, you could...but where's the fun in that?"
Pharce waves at the Hypello gift shop owner, and the two bow their heads in discussion for a moment. When they part, Pharce pats the Hypello (whose nametag declares him 'Shtan') on the back.
"My good friend will lend us some of his wares, if you will join me in saving the city. We wouldn't want this little mishap to delay the big game, after all."
Those that agree to hold off on fleeing the city will be split into groups and given instructions on where to go in order to help the sinking city of Ka'Pandol.

Team Evacuation
Open to Anyone
Which meant- Ignis, and his Moogle, are to evacuate people and get them to safety.
It was quickly shoved aside as he pushed the door to the emergency exit open, helping a guy with sprained ankle walk out.
"Don't panic!" Ignis shouts over the people talking loudly and yelling, getting them to simmer down for a few moments. "One by one, please, take the emergency exit. Go straight outside. No detours."
Ebony was flying around, making sure to notify everyone and Ignis felt immense gratitude towards his Moogle. Pulling himself out of the crowd, he makes way through the flooded hallway to the person standing at the end of it.
"Are you alright?" If the person is injured, he'll help them out. If not, he might as well ask them for some help- before the evacuation turns into a full panic mode.
no subject
He had just gotten another adult to stop trying to tug him and get to safety instead when he heard the accented voice behind him, Mogki clinging to one of his shoulders. He stood up from where he'd accidentally tripped and fallen shortly after sending the adult on their way and nodded.
"I'm fine," He said, although quite soaked as it were and wadding through the water towards the man. "I think everyone is gone from here, I sent the last person out.
no subject
"Perfect. We should head out as well. The place is becoming rather unstable," Ignis says pushing his glasses up and glancing around one last time before pointing behind him.
"We should check on the next floor as well. I heard the glass break as the water sphere gave in." Maybe there are some injured. He doesn't ask the boy not to help him- he was sure he saw him earlier through the flurry of people as they made their way out.
no subject
"Right," Mogki climbed up to his head as the water continued to rise. "Hope! We're gonna drown, do you even know how to swim?"
Hope sighed as he looked for the stairway up to the next level. "I'll be fine."
no subject
"Let's go before the floor caves in underneath us," Ignis warns, leading the way towards the stairs. Just as they reached the stairs, Ebony comes flying down, completely flustered and wet, his scarf weighing him down.
"Iggy-! The glass gave in upstairs," Ebony tried to explain it as fast as he could as Ignis made sure the scarf was taken off and thrown away. "I think someone got badly stabbed as they were running away!"
"Thank you Ebony," Ignis nods and looks over, "We should hurry!"
no subject
He followed behind Ignis, the water was rising fast and given his short stature, he was getting worried. But as they get to the stairs, his moogle comes by quite frantic. He gasped as well and nodded.
"Let's go! I have potions, by the way, in case they need it."
His bag felt awfully heavy now from the water as they wet up and it drained itself but he pushed on. The potions were definitely going to be useful.
no subject
"What are your abilities?"
Ignis can't heal, that's a given, but he can quickly retrieve the person in question. He doesn't want to put the boy in jeopardy if his skills can't support him. The damp clothes are already holding him back.
no subject
But then, as he caught his breath, he shook his head.
He hadn't gained any experience yet. "I only just arrived. I don't really have many abilities."
no subject
"Stay here. You too Ebony," he frowns at his Moogle who seemed ready to dash down the hall.
"I have no healing abilities and the potions that were on me I already used. I will only get the person and be back." His ninja asterisk should allow him to move fast despite the water. "You will help me tend to the wound, alright?"
no subject
He didn't like being sidelined like this, but there was nothing he could do. These were the times being a l'Cie was a boon, not a curse. He nodded. "Okay. I'll have the potions ready."
no subject
The injured guy was already trying to make his way towards Ignis. He didn't look older than eighteen and there was a huge gash in his leg. Ignis didn't spend a lot of time explaining what was going on- he just grabbed the guy and threw his hand over his shoulders and headed back.
If he gets back unscathed it will be a miracle.
no subject
The injured person was going to slow Ignis down at this rate, not that it was his fault, but it meant Ignis might get injured in the process. He though he had enough potions on him, but it would be best not to use them all up at once.
When they seemed close enough, Hope chanced it. He dropped his bag and, keeping watching above, he sprinted towards the duo and took hold of the other man. "C'mon, lean on me, we gotta hurry."
Without the bag weighing him down, he could at least try dodge a few things. He had a little practice being on the run, after all.

[ What he wouldn't give to have an actual radio or a headset. This would make things much better. Right now Lelouch is already at a vantage point, trying to overlook this area of the city to try to get people ( and animals ) out. Buttons and his Moogle, Mogya, are with him. ]
Directing everyone to one exit isn't going to be quick or efficient.
[ Which is why Lelouch and Mogya decide to go about this differently. Lelouch has the city's layout memorized. Mogya lingers over head, looking for people struggling. Then Lelouch and the otter, Buttons head off to aid where they are directed.
on the other hand, Buttons is great. She takes to the water levels slowly rising with ease. It's much easier for her to fetch either items or pets that some families just down want to leave behind. Lelouch, however, just doesn't have the patience as he starts to give directions to another couple about the closest place to get a bubble helmet and out of the city. ]
You need to go. Now.
no subject
[ It wasn't even a polite response. It was direct, curt, and without any grounds of budging. Even with how dire the circumstances were, and despite how unsure she felt about him overall, Euphemia knew at least one thing: she refused to let Lelouch die again. ]
The only one that needs to leave is you. I can take care of myself! I have to find the others.
[ Like Cornelia. Suzaku. Hope. Or even Tidus. People who likely could handle themselves, but the worry over their well-being was still there. ]
Take Buttons and go! [ It didn't matter if she died here. She was already dead, after all. ]
no subject
I'm more suited to navigating in this sort of crisis than you are so tell me why I should be the one leaving.
[ It's not that she can't take care of herself. Euphy is sort of capable. Sort of. She has a strong will at least. But that doesn't mean that Lelouch is going anywhere. ]
no subject
I need to make sure the others are okay. [ And him. But she shouldn't have to say that. So while Lelouch helps a pair with a bubble helmet, she takes the moment to ... travel right back into the danger zone to find said people. ] Take the helmet and go, Lelouch!
no subject
[ Because she isn't the only one who wants to find people. Obviously. Well. Lelouch has found one of the people he's most concerned about. But that leaves the others, doesn't it? ...And maybe one or two more he at least wants to make sure are not in trouble that they cannot get themselves out of.
Okay maybe just Nanamo]You're being awfully stubborn about this.
[ But see? Leaving that evacuation area without taking a helmet. Even telling Buttons to scout on ahead! ]
no subject
What are you doing? Lelouch, you're not a White Mage! You can't be here!
no subject
[ Just saying! This place needs all the help that can be offered. ]
no subject
Are you able to swim? You have to keep up!
no subject
Of course I can swim! [ Just not overly well all right? ] I can keep up just fine.
no subject
If that manga said anything about how she takes to water. She hides whatever her fears are, however, to reach the destination she intended to go further into Ka'Pandol. It doesn't even register how quickly the water was rising. ]Where is Nunnally? Is she safe? Did you see Suzaku? Sister?
[ Names and questions raised as she struggled through the water. ]
no subject
[ Does Euphy really think that Lelouch would ever jeopardize that sister's safety? If he could keep her locked up in a box then he would. Yes, she's safe and sound. As for the rest... Well he assumes that Suzaku is running around helping people himself. ]
I haven't seen Suzaku or Cornelia. Mogya is keeping an eye out for them.
[ Even trudging through the water, he is waiting for his next update from the Moogle. ]
no subject
We have to reach them. They have to be here!
[ She panicked, hoping the connection would go through even if it was a little waterlogged at the moment. With nothing working and her ability to keep her feet to the ground failing, Euphy searched around in a last attempt to try and find some means of shelter. Seeing a few survivors huddled in one of the bubbled structures, she loses all interest in the iMog and wades over to the bubbled area in hopes of perhaps finding Suzaku or Cornelia there. Off she went, paddling or whatever in her dress, trying to keep up with the current until finally, she reached the SANCTIONED off area filled with life-preserving air. ]
Suzaku?! Sister?!
[ A few randoms taking refuge, perhaps. But none of them were Suzaku or Cornelia. ]
