What: Event log for the Once Upon A Dream Event! Should your character have their own memory, start your own top-level with said memory. If not, then tag around in other characters's memories! Furthermore, feel free to use the Mingle threads at the Curti Center and in the Airships for non-memory related CR. Please refer to the OOC Post for details and plotting. Plot Memories and the second Airship Mingle will be unlocked on May 25th.

[Is this... another memory? Just when he got out of the last one? This is so not what he signed up for.

The complaints are forgotten once Uendo realizes just whose memory it is.]

Wh-- H-Hey, wait! Okuyasu!

[Too late -- the boy is gone. Uendo hurries after him, trying to get a handle on the situation as he does. Other than the shoddy shape of the house, everything looks normal enough. Maybe this won't be too difficult. If he could just get Okuyasu to listen...]

[Just as Okuyasu leaves the front door, he is stuck at a very important choice - whether to run to the left or right end of the street. Whatever he's looking for is out of sight, but with so little time to decide, he has to go with his gut instinct.

However, he is interrupted by someone calling his name.]

Huh?! [Was this the own of the house he woke up in? He could apologize...or run away and take the blame. His reputation as a delinquent wouldn't suffer all too badly. Okuyasu turns right and runs.]

[Well, he sure just got ignored. Uendo runs after him through the front door and discovers very quickly that he has no hope of catching up to Okuyasu with speed alone. Curse his short legs.]

Hey, I said wait! Where are you going? [He does his best to keep up, trying to catch Okuyasu's attention.] Don't run out on a pal like this! Come on!

[Fortunately for Uendo, he doesn't get very far when something just around the corner catches grabs the entirety of his attention. Uendo can hear the screams of a boy when Okuyasu dashes out of sight, but not before a ghostly apparition appears just behind him. It looks like a buff man if he covered his entire body in white and blue padding, even hiding his face. It silently follows him, holding its right hand up.]

[Wh-What the...?

Uendo almost trips over his own feet as he skids to a halt. What's that thing that just showed up behind Okuyasu? It looks like it came out of a superhero show or an anime or something!

Between that and the screaming, he's suddenly a lot more hesitant to get any closer to whatever is going on around the corner. But he should, shouldn't he? Even though they're just strangers thrown together by chance, Okuyasu ended up in his care somehow. And even though the kid is stronger than him by far... Uendo is supposed to look out for him, isn't he?

Pushing down the urge to hide, Uendo takes a deep breath and breaks into a run once again. At the very least, he can just... take a peek around the corner. Then he can figure out what to do.]

[Just as Uendo moves to the corner, he hears a deep, discordant noise like someone was messing around with the dubstep settings on music equipment. The apparition remains floating behind Okuyasu, who strikes a pose. Three people are staring at him in disbelief.]

You! [A businessman stands near the garden wall. He's bleeding from his back and face, but he's able to stand. A pink cat man floats behind him.]

You're--! [And elementary school boy stands on the other end of the street. He's terrified but otherwise uninjured.]

You... [Before the boy, a teenage student is collapsed onto the ground. He has cuts all over his face and his stylish uniform is stained with blood. Wood is jammed into his side and thigh, explaining how he can't even get up. The teen looked as if he's about to cry.]

Okuyasu!!

Y'know, I always wondered what happened to the stuff I scrape away with The Hand...where the hell does all this shit go?

[A large air bubble slowly floats towards him.]

Oh well! I'm not so smart, so thinking too hard about this stuff makes my head hurt. [The ghostly apparition and Okuyasu swing their right hand at the same time, going through the bubble. The discordant noise from before returns, and when the ghost disappears, the bubble is gone, too.] Check it!

[...Nope. Nope nope nope. Uendo has no idea what to do with this. He thought Okuyasu was just a normal guy -- one who admittedly owned a flower cat abomination, but mostly just a normal guy -- and now it turns out he has a robot ghost buddy that fights with him. Against... whatever any of this is. Which would all be incredibly cool, except...

Except there's a teenager bleeding to death on the ground. So much blood, so much blood. Oh no. This is bad. Bad bad bad.

What is he supposed to do? Help the injured teenager? Get the little boy out of there? Help Okuyasu? Can he even do any of those? Without his Jobs from Vaikuntha, he's powerless. Can't fight, can't heal, can't even bring himself to say a word for the fear of being spotted. If this is just a memory, does it even matter what he tries to do? But he can't just stand here and do nothing, can he? There's a kid dying right there...

Panic starts to constrict his throat, and just like that, his mind goes blank, his body goes numb, and Uendo finds himself detaching from all of it -- like it's all happening to someone else...]

[Thankfully, that someone else is not so easily cowed.]

What the hell is this?

[Kisegawa doesn't much care for all the magical tomfoolery of Vaikuntha, but at least nothing on Vaikuntha looks like it escaped from a feline bodybuilding competition. Really, what the hell is that thing supposed to be? Are all cats in Okuyasu's world some bizarre freaks of nature? Is he from an alternate universe where evolution just gave up and started picking random definitions from a dictionary to decide what 'cat' means?]

[Jojo's Bizarre World is not going to get any more normal from here on out. Okuyasu turns around when he hears an unfamiliar - yet recognizable - voice behind him. Some woman from a nearby temple or from a rich house went outside for a walk and stumbled across the fight scene.

Yoshikage Kira cannot get near her.]

It's-- [He waits, hoping that Josuke or Hayato can provide a convincing excuse, but they are silent.] It ain't safe here! We got this!

[If she ran to call the police, maybe they'd have a chance of catching him!]

Clearly.

[From what little sense she can make of this... Muscle cat is hovering behind the businessman like Okuyasu's ghost robot was doing earlier, so obviously it's the same power. And there's no one else around who looks ready or able to fight, so figuring out the culprit isn't hard.]

Stripe-hair there responsible for this? Think you can keep him off while I get your buddy somewhere safe?

[How is she so calm in such a scene? It's pretty nice that she's not screaming her head off, but she's still not a Stand User.]

Yeah, he is! Josuke!

[The injured teenager responds:] Don't worry about me!

[The businessman is furious that there's now a fourth person who knows his secret.]

I, Yoshikage Kira, have spent my entire life living peacefully. I despise mess and laziness, and luck always end up on my side. Stray Cat!

[The cat man opens up its chest like a cabinet, revealing a familiar cat flower residing in the cavity.]

[Why is Stray Cat-- No, never mind that. If she starts trying to understand any of this, she'll be at it all day.]

And yet here you are, making a mess. You'll forgive me if I'm skeptical of your peace-loving nature, Pinstripes.

[She's not even deigning to call him by his name. If he gets mad, all the better -- it'll give Okuyasu an opening to strike.]

[The ghost man swipes at the air, seemingly doing nothing...until an invisible force tugs at Stray Cat. It is ripped out of the cat man's chest cavity and flies across the street right into Okuyasu's non-ghost hands.]

What?!

[Stray Cat hisses and tries to claw its way out of Okuyasu's grip, who is attempting to placate it with pets.]

That's it! Without Stray Cat, Kira can't make any more air bubble bombs! [The young boy thankfully narrates what is happening to the confused viewers.]

[Oh, good. Kisegawa isn't a big fan of those shows that stop every three minutes to explain how someone's power works, but she'll take it this time.]

Would that be your cue to beat the ever-living tar out of this guy? I'll hold Stray Cat for you, so hop to it.

[Her grip -- should Okuyasu allow her to take Stray Cat -- is firm, but surprisingly gentle. Even if she knew the full extent of Stray Cat's abilities at this point, it wouldn't stop her from giving it a stern look.]

And you will behave yourself like a good kitty. Got it?

[Kisegawa would not fare well in the world of Jojo.

Okuyasu glances at the lady, then at the cat, then at the strong-willed lady again. He doesn't even know her and she might not even be a Stand User, but she's got balls to look at this scene without screaming and just give out commands like that. She's so cool.

He holds out Stray Cat for her to take, then rushes at Kira, summoning The Hand once more to swipe at him. Kira steps back, gripping the stone fence separating the sidewalk from the larger, busy street.

Stray Cat growls at this terrible human who dares to touch it.]
