What: Event log for the Once Upon A Dream Event! Should your character have their own memory, start your own top-level with said memory. If not, then tag around in other characters's memories! Furthermore, feel free to use the Mingle threads at the Curti Center and in the Airships for non-memory related CR. Please refer to the OOC Post for details and plotting. Plot Memories and the second Airship Mingle will be unlocked on May 25th.

It's me -- Reno.

[He tried to peer through the window over the mess of the blockade. It wouldn't be impossible to move, but it would take time. He was only one man and it had been built by several.]

Are you hurt? Just hang in there, okay?

[Johnny didn't know if this was a Transport, but he definitely wasn't a UE soldier from what he could see. So for now, Johnny would have to trust him. He came up to the window to make sure the coast was clear as well. The Johnny that appears is pretty roughed up, and looks more like the one that originally showed up in Crystallis than Vaikuntha, with shorter hair and horns.

The blockade was pretty hastily made, so it wouldn't be too difficult to start removing. Johnny can't see it too well form the small door window, though.]

You with the Initiative? What's goin' on out there?

[That was definitely a younger Johnny. That stood out to Reno immediately.]

The Initiative? No...

[Had he somehow been thrown into another world, another time -- again? More often than not, though, he'd stayed in the present rather than traveled to the past.]

Is... Is this Exsilium?

[Regardless, he needed to get Johnny out, so he started moving the lighter objects at the forefront of the barricade and tossing them aside.]

[When reno says he's not with the Initiative, Johnny almost immediately tells him to fuck off. But he cuts himself off when Reno asks where this is. What was going on here?]

The fuck? No, this is UE territory. The Initiative's here to get us back to Exsilium. And I don't intend to get left behind down here!

[Johnny gives the door a swift kick with incredible force. Parts of the barricade tumble off.]

Who the hell are you with, then?

[So now Johnny wanted to go... back to Exsilium. Okay. So this place must be worse. Noted.]

[Reno took a step back as Johnny geared up to kick again, then went back to tugging and shoving on wreckage to get it out of the way.]

Well, [He huffed between throwing more rubbish to the side.] guess I'm just with you then. Wherever you wanna go, I'll get you there.

Um. Okay. Thanks.

[He needed help and he got it, so Johnny didn't want to question it too much. Another kick is enough to loosen up the junk and open the door enough for Johnny to squeeze out. He really does miss being this strong in current day.

Now that Reno can get a better look at him, it's clear he's hurting, but he's always been acting like he's not. On top of his the other injuries, he's clutching his left arm close to his torso - it looks broken. He's got no time to think about that now, though.]

Okay. We need to find the Initiative now. I think they're outside, which is probably where most of the guards went, too.

[Reno winced.]

Ah fuck, yer hurt.

[He wanted to stop and fix it -- hell, he wanted to fix all of it but he couldn't. But his Turk instincts knew time was of the essence, too, and they didn't have much of it to spend here.]

Lemme see yer arm real quick. If we can splint it with this shit, it'll hopefully not get shattered to all hell on the way out. [He gestured at the former pieces of barricade strewn about.]

[Johnny was thinking hard about what was going on, which took some effort to get through the fog. It seemed to work though, because when he turned back to Reno, there was finally recognition on his face.]

You-- Why are you here?

[Johnny was still confused, but was more relieved with Reno here. Not that Reno should be here - this was Exsilium, not Crystallis.]

You think you can do that? A splint? I know I can't.

[It hurts not to say anything, but Reno knew time was a complex disaster and he didn't want to fuck anything up. When Johnny kept staring at him, even when he started to look aware, Reno was afraid to get his hopes up.]

Johnny... Do you remember me now?

[charming_jerk]

[Johnny rubbed at the bridge of his nose with his working hand.]

I-- yeah. What's going on? You shouldn't be here!

[Not that Reno wasn't incredibly capable, but this was a pretty terrible situation and Johnny didn't want to see him getting hurt.]

This is Exsilium. Wait-- No, this is US territory. That's why the Initiative is here. To get us out of here.

Yeah, I know, but --

[He waved his hands in gesture -- here he was.]

... Okay, I dunno what any of that means, but I'll follow your lead. Lemme set yer arm an' then we're back on the run. Unless running first is better? You know this place.

Right, um. [Johnny doesn't like talking about Exsilium. He avoids it as much as possible. Until he's having awful nightmares about his time there and yells weird things in his sleep.] The UE was who was tryin' to wipe us out in Exsilium. The super soldiers. The ones that run most of the rest of the planet. The Initiative... they're us. Me. Whatever. They're the resistance workin' out of Exsilium, the ones that brought all of us there.

[Meaning he wasn't exactly their biggest fan either, but they're on his side.]

If I remember right-- The exit ain't far, but there's fighting goin' on everywhere. Guns blazing, people flinging crazy super powers around. But they manage to get us all outta here. I run in to Blaine, and he helps me out.

[That last sentence is almost said sheepishly, for multiple reasons.

Then there was the matter of his arm. Reno was right, setting it now would be for the best. But...]

That's gonna hurt like hell on Earth, huh.

[shinra_dog]

[Reno pressed his lips together and nodded.]

Yep. Gonna hurt like a bitch. But better now than if it's smashed worse later.

An' if there's guns blazing an' superpowers an' shit...

[Unfortunately, now was the time.]

You ready?

[Johnny closes his eyes for a moment, trying to breath as calm as he can manage. Partly to steel his nerves, and partly because he's hoping that, when he opens his eyes again, he'll be far away from here.

Sadly, that's not the case. He's disappointed anyway, but gives Reno a nod. Let's just do this and get moving out of this nightmare.]
