Where: The Dream Width (+ Curti Center & Airships)
What: Event log for the Once Upon A Dream Event! Should your character have their own memory, start your own top-level with said memory. If not, then tag around in other characters's memories! Furthermore, feel free to use the Mingle threads at the Curti Center and in the Airships for non-memory related CR. Please refer to the OOC Post for details and plotting. Plot Memories and the second Airship Mingle will be unlocked on May 25th.

A rush of electricity and wind flew past Ignis making him pause. What the hell was that? It certainly wasn't Ravus who was on the other side of the room, getting ready to charge at him again.

Did someone just called him his full name? That's impossible, only very few people know his middle name.

Someone is here with him and he has no clue what to do because he can't see them. Someone who-

Lost in thought, Ravus almost hits him, charging through Clarus. Ignis doesn't fight back but he does dodge on instinct.

Clarus couldn't be completely sure, but he did feel that maybe he was finally making some progress. So he pressed on, striding after the pair and trying to put himself between them once more. Every one of his instincts told him not to turn his back on an opponent, which Ravus was, so he raised his sword and spoke over his shoulder to Ignis.

"The events you are seeing now have completed, Ignis," he continued, watching Ravus warily. "Come back to Vaikuntha now. Noctis, the real Noctis, needs you. He always has, he always will."

Real-

Ignis looks over to where Noct and Lunafreya were laying, unmoving. They are, not real? That's impossible. But the voice- it sounds so sure of what he's saying that Ignis has a hard time believing in what he sees. What if he really has been deceived? He shakes his head and stands again as Ravus stands and raises his magitek arm, aiming at him.

Ignis raises his daggers in defense, closing his eyes. This will hurt.

The shot of electricity blasts through him- separating Ignis from the body, leaving him standing (floating?), unscratched, somewhat see-through.

"...what-?"

"A dream," Clarus stated gently, soothingly. "A memory, I would assume."

He took a step closer to Ignis, lowering his sword and offering a hand to the young man he respected so much. "I'm sure you fought bravely. Did you win?" On top of being an amazing adviser, Clarus also knew firsthand that Ignis was a graceful and talented fighter. Ravus was strong, however, so the match may have gone either way.

A memory...

Ignis accepts the hand and stands, wincing a bit. Ignis from the memory continues fighting, unrelenting under the attacks that are thrown his way, dodging and fighting back.

He looks at Clarus, squinting for a moment, rubbing the bridge of his nose. "I..." the memory around them shifts through the blur, showing both men standing at the altar again, Ravus on his knees, holding Lunafreya gently.

"I'm not sure if this is winning..." Ignis says slowly, watching. Then he shakes his head. "Wh-What happened? How did I get stuck in the memory?"

Clarus watched remorsefully as the scene played out before them of losing Lady Lunafreya. He'd known it happened, been told about it, but it was still a sad moment. Regis had always loved the girl, and neither had ever stopped feeling guilty over what happened in Tenebrae. There was nothing they could have done, however.

Finally he drew his eyes back to the young man before him. "The airships experienced turbulence. Apparently we were thrown into the Dream Width, and things like this-" he gestured around them -"are what happens when a person is lost there. We need to return to the ship as soon as possible."

Turbulence? The alarm goes in Ignis' head at that. Was Noctis alright? They weren't on the ship together, unfortunately. Once he leaves this place he will have to properly look for him. For now, he has to focus on getting out.

"Do you know how I can leave?" Right now. "Or-" he looks over back at the Altar as the ethereal form of Lady Lunafreya nods at her brother and disappears into the hollow, cold night, "-or do I have to wait for the memory to end?" He has never experienced something like this before. For once, Ignis Scientia has no clue what to do.

"I can't say I'm an expert here, but I imagine since this is your memory, you might be the only person who can end it," Clarus stated, now giving Ignis his full attention and focus rather than watching the scene continue to play out. What they saw was the past, what they needed to see was the present.

"Try to focus on the here and now, rather than what has been."

That makes sense. It is completely logical. The only problem is that he can't focus on it right now. Not with chatter around him, this rain, Ravus calling out for Luna.

"Ugh... my head," Ignis presses the palm of his hand against his forehead, trying to block out the noise, the cries. He knows what will happen next. And he also knows he doesn't want to see it- he doesn't want Clarus to see it either.

He can feel the sounds blurring slightly, just as Gladio... Ardyn, comes running.
