Who: All characters who signed-up!
When: May 31st - June 04th
Where: The Dream Width (+ Curti Center & Airships)
What: Event log for the Once Upon A Dream Event! Should your character have their own memory, start your own top-level with said memory. If not, then tag around in other characters's memories! Furthermore, feel free to use the Mingle threads at the Curti Center and in the Airships for non-memory related CR. Please refer to the OOC Post for details and plotting. Plot Memories and the second Airship Mingle will be unlocked on May 25th.

It was horrifying to see that Ignis wasn't responsive to him speaking to him, he didn't know what to do at that point.

Ignis took off and he followed.

"Iggy! I don't think-" Prompto was chasing him at the same pace.

"Noct!" He moved to go to his side and check him but Ravus was there and he was looking between him and Ignis. He drew his gun, not his best friend, not on his watch.

It was hard to remember that this was a dream, but he wasn't surprised to see Ignis stand up to Ravus, because he was trying to go for Noct, and that wouldn't stand. He followed them again, gun drawn.

"Don't make me shoot you!"

Ignis felt as if a shadow ran past him. Was he imagining things? Maybe it was just the wind- the stormy weather was picking up. In any case, all of his attention is focused on the older man- who is not reacting to Prompto's threats.

"Come to your senses, man!" Ignis yells as he repels the rapier- finally. And then pushes him away to the previous room, away from the bodies. He's out of breath, he's tired, his head feels as if it will explode but none of that matters. Ravus is coming at him with all he's got and Ignis has to focus- and return all of the attacks.

"I understand the pain you must feel, but Noct isn't one who did this to her!" Ignis tries to reason with him but Ravus is too angry and too deep into despair to hear him.

Prompto cocked the gun because Noctis was hurt, he was hurt and Ravus wanted to hurt him more because-

His mind went back on track in a moment. This wasn't real. He hadn't witnessed this. He knew Noctis was hurt in Altissia, but he hadn't seen it. This was Ignis' memory. He holstered his gun again with a sigh.

He couldn't explain the irrational reaction when he saw Noct lying there.

"Iggy! This isn't real! We're supposed to be doing stuff on the airship!" They weren't on the same airship, but they were working with a team of people. "There's people waiting for you!"

...

Airship? Is one coming right now?

Ignis can't hear anything beyond thunder and rain, the stone breaking underneath his feet from Ravus' attacks. He's doing his best to dodge them, but this nagging feeling in the back of Ignis' head is telling him that something's not right.

He dodges again, and again. And then lands few blows of his own. Why... does this feel like a deja-vu?

"He can't hurt you!" Prompto swallowed, it was hard not to run to Noctis and help him, or Lunafreya for that matter but instead he moved closer to Ignis.

"Please, you have to wake up?" He was pleading with him, grasping onto the back of his shirt.

"Stop fighting, you can stop fighting!"

Okay, this is extremely weird. He can hear Prompto and he knows for a fact that he's not anywhere near. He glances at the exit of the Altar and sure enough- no one's coming

But- Ravus can't hurt him? That sounds like a very dangerous gamble? The man is strong beyond his imagination and he's the only person that's holding him back from getting to Noct.

Should he risk it?

Stop fighting- easily said than done. He could probably take a hit- one hit. So-

Ignis raises his hands in defense and closes his eyes tightly. Prompto's voice- he'll trust him.

The rapier goes straight through Ignis, separating Ignis' consciousness from the memory. He's out of breath as he stumbles back and watches his memory continue the fight with Ravus.

"...What?"

Apparently, that had been the right thing to say. Prompto exhaled, this whole experience has been surreal and unpleasant and he wasn't sure how to help everyone who's been trapped in their memories.

"Ignis." Prompto breathed and moved forward to grasp the back of his shirt. "Are you with me?"

He did his best not to be afraid, but lately he'd been scared in these dreams, he couldn't stand to lose his friends. Not anymore.

"Prompto?" Ignis turns around when he hears Prompto's voice. The Ignis in memory continues to fight Ravus who doesn't show any signs of calming down- yet. Ignis groans, rubbing his temples.

"Yes... yes I can hear you." He shakes his head.

"What happened? Why are we here...?" How did they get in here?

"I don't know why, or how, but it seems to be happening for a lot of people." Prompto breathed, it hadn't happened to him.

"We need to go back though. You have to go back to the airship!"

He didn't know why he hadn't seen any of his own memories, but he was trying to help his friends and groupmates escape theirs.

"You just have to wake up, I think."

Going back sounds like a good idea but- how the hell does he do that?!

"Wake up... it sounds easier said than done," Ignis mutters and looks around. Is there anything here that he can use to throw both of them out of this memory? Because... it's not pleasant. At all.

As if on cue, the memory changes in a blur and now it shows Ravus and Ignis at Luna's and Noct's sides.

"Do I have to wait until the end of the memory?"

"I don't know." Prompto gasped as they were next to them again, stepping forward as Noct appeared again.

"Maybe?"

He was wringing his hands a little, he wanted to go up and help but it was in the past, he wasn't there and there was nothing he could do.

"Just remember this ends...and Noct is fine, right? Fine on the airship. Not like this."

"He is..." Ignis says slowly, walking up next to Prompto. He's now more worried about Prompto seeing all of this, seeing Noct injured and laying there, Lady Lunafreya next to him.

"You, too, need to keep that in mind, Prompto." Ignis turns around as he hears 'Gladio' calling out, coming over without Prompto.

"This already happened. Come, the memory will end soon."

"Yeah." He said absently, looking at Noctis on the ground again and then he saw 'Gladio' coming. But Gladio had arrived with him, hadn't he?

Prompto shivered and stepped back a bit.

"It's him." He whispered.

Yes, Gladio had indeed arrived with Prompto by his side. It was easy to guess that this Gladio was not the real one.

Ignis effectively stands between the scene and Prompto, blocking his vision. He says nothing but the look he gives the blond... Don't watch. Don't listen to it.

"The memory is coming to a close Prompto. Focus on that. We're leaving." Please, let him be right.

Part of him wanted to know how it ended, he wanted to know what Ardyn did and how he was involved, but Ignis was blocking his view, trying to ensure he didn't see what was happening.

It was going to be bad. Whenever Ardyn Izunia was there, it was bad.

"I...yeah." Prompto answered shyly, and instead of looking around him, he relented to his request, not looking around Ignis, stepping forward to grab onto his shirt.

"Don't disappear on me, okay?"

Ignis doesn't want Prompto to see Gladio turn into Ardyn. Fuck, Ignis himself doesn't want to see it again. So when Prompto grabs onto his shirt, he nods and takes a hold of Prompto by his shoulders, to keep the gunslinger's attention on himself.

"I won't. I'll see you back on the spaceship, okay?" Ignis places his hand on Prompto's cheek, hoping it's distracting enough over the sounds in the background, now that MTs are rushing in.

"Yeah. Okay." Prompto agreed, closing his eyes to block out the rest of the dream, the vision so real and it was Ignis'.

When he opened his eyes, he found himself on the airship he'd come in on, blinking a few times.

He could only hope that Ignis made it back to his airship, because he was nowhere to be seen.
