Where: The Dream Width (+ Curti Center & Airships)
What: Event log for the Once Upon A Dream Event! Should your character have their own memory, start your own top-level with said memory. If not, then tag around in other characters's memories! Furthermore, feel free to use the Mingle threads at the Curti Center and in the Airships for non-memory related CR. Please refer to the OOC Post for details and plotting. Plot Memories and the second Airship Mingle will be unlocked on May 25th.

The extra weight on her shoulders was responded instinctively to with a straightening of Selphie's back. No one from the original memory had provided that small comfort that she could recall of. Out of everyone besides the orange-haired boy who was on a different scale of emotions, Selphie was the most reactive of the five of them. The grief and guilt was evident in the eyes of the girl whose head was starting to stare out at the landscape in front of her.

"I wasn't strong enough," Selphie muttered before moving to grab the hand on her back.

Her reaction to the touch made her own hand draw back just a bit. Perhaps that was too familiar, she thought. After all, comfort was different for some. Touch could be wanted while others might choose differently. Yet it seemed that in this scenario it was just the trick to bring her to her senses. It also let her see just who this memory might belong to since she not only responded but reached to take her hand.

"That isn't true," Euphemia murmured with a frown. "You gave your all..."

It was sudden contact that had Selphie wondering what was on her neck more than any words that was a strong clue to pulling the brunette out of her memory. The memory began to shimmer and fade slightly as she shook her head in confusion. This was something that had happened in the past and that's all it truly was at that point in time. The pain shouldn't have been as raw and visceral and yet it felt like it had all just happened yesterday.

"Maybe..." she responded.

The girl lost in her memory was clearly not convinced.

As painful as this all was, she knew that this was still a situation they needed to depart from. The mysteries of the Dream Width was beginning to frighten her. How invasive it must be to have their memories extracted and visible put on display for unlikely visitors like her to watch and intrude upon. She knew she would have to apologize later, but ... for now.

"May I ask your name? I'm ... I'm Euphy. We don't know each other, but ... but you have to wake up."

"My name?" Selphie wondered aloud.

No one in the memory had ever asked her what her name was. Most of the people involved were already aware of her name and the little boy nor his mother had asked for it. As the memory continued to fade away, Selphie looked over her shoulder at the shadowy figure behind. She was wary of revealing too much but knew that it was far too late to worry about that.

"Selphie," she breathed as the memory continued to lose its hold. Was there a girl with pink hair looking at her? The brunette gave Euphy a pained look as a fresh set of tears fell.
