What: Event log for the Once Upon A Dream Event! Should your character have their own memory, start your own top-level with said memory. If not, then tag around in other characters's memories! Furthermore, feel free to use the Mingle threads at the Curti Center and in the Airships for non-memory related CR. Please refer to the OOC Post for details and plotting. Plot Memories and the second Airship Mingle will be unlocked on May 25th.

[ Okay this is... kind of disturbing? Pretty disturbing. Probably not as much as the Qliphoth World will ultimately be when she gets there, but that's still a month or so off for her back home. That being said, she still takes a lot of what she sees... relatively in stride? The sea of the human soul was fucking weird like that.

Finding herself next to Elly though? A bit of a surprise. That request? Even moreso. Because she's not offense, she's support, and she's about to say as much when she feels that weight on her hip. ]

Just so we're clear, that's not mine.

[ She doesn't know whose it is but. Not hers. Definitely not. ]

Futaba's being travel sized works in her favor for once!

[ There's a brief pause as Elly looks down slightly toward Futaba. Because that isn't something that she expects to hear, and for a moment there's a strange feeling in the pit of her stomach. Like something isn't right here (it isn't, but not because of this), and that she should be paying attention.

While she feels her mind try to dispel that feeling, the older woman forces it back to the forefront of her mind. ]

...It isn't yours?

[ Somehow, that doesn't make sense. ]

I dunno where it came from. It just sorta... appeared.

[ Said with a very befuddled shrug???? She's just... trying to roll with what's happening here until she can find a good point to try to break the suspension of disbelief. ]

I'm not really a big offensive fighter normally anyway.

[worldmother]

[ That doesn't quite register at first, and it takes a moment for her mind to catch up. Because what do you mean it just suddenly appeared? Margie is that you? ]

You... aren't?

[ So about that suspension of disbelief... ]

No....? I mean if you need support I can do that. Or. At least I could.

[ Kinda lacking in the Necronomicon and asterisk department right now. Seriously though, she's not even trying right now? She seems to be somehow naturally breaking this whole memory apart just by being. Well. Herself. And hey, if that works, it works???? ]

[worldmother]

[ Her support? Elly pauses then, eyes widening in mild disbelief. This girl isn't suggesting that they continue to fight, is she? Placing a hand at her chest, she looks back down at the beast before them before shaking her head. ]

I don't want to see him suffer any more than he already has. Even like this, he is still human. Continuing to fight would be far too cruel.

[ Ah. Well the moment was lost. Oh well. Although now she's just confused. ]

Then... why do you need a weapon?

[worldmother]

[ Drawing her lips together in a fine line, Elly takes a breath. She refuses to look at Futaba, her gaze instead focused downward. ]

...They say that the only thing that can ease their pain is by consuming the blood and flesh of humans. Of the "haves," those people who haven't been affected by the affliction that ails them.

[ Does she understand now? ]

[ She's... already handed the sword over to Elly at this point, but at her words, Futaba backs up rapidly, holding up her hands. ]

Whoa, whoa, whoa, I did not sign up for this.

[ What the hell was even going on here? ]

[ Futaba's reluctance is a bit surprising, and it forces Elly to look upward. A placid, peaceful smile spreads across her lips. It's all right, really. ]

This isn't something that I could ask anyone else to do. A well-to-do have like me should be willing to give what she can of herself to those have nots who know only suffering and anguish.

It's all I know that I can do for them.
