What: Event log for the Once Upon A Dream Event! Should your character have their own memory, start your own top-level with said memory. If not, then tag around in other characters's memories! Furthermore, feel free to use the Mingle threads at the Curti Center and in the Airships for non-memory related CR. Please refer to the OOC Post for details and plotting. Plot Memories and the second Airship Mingle will be unlocked on May 25th.

[How...? Who...? Where was he? Reno looked around, confused and disgusted. What was that stench?]

[The blade wasn't the most concerning part. It was what this woman intended to do with it. Reno looked at her suspiciously.]

... Why?

[worldmother]

[ Reno might not know who she is, but from the look on her face, it seems she recognizes him. Strange, have they met? While her expression doesn't quite harden, determination sets in, drawn in a fine line on her lips. ]

We need to do something. I can't let it suffer like this.

[ Her hand still held out to him, she gives Reno a brief nod. ]

Please.

[He only hesitated a moment more before grimacing. If it truly was suffering, perhaps she was doing it a mercy. He had no real way to know she wouldn't use the weapon on innocent others and he didn't want to be responsible for allowing it. But he didn't see much other choice here.]

[He handed it over tensely, still not happy about it.]

[ She was, just... not in the way that he might think. Because, as she takes the blade with what was clearly not her predominant hand, for a brief second Elly falters. Thoughts fleeting, myriad possibilities flying past that she could scarcely count them, a single thought breaks through the noise.

What if it's too late?

Biting back that fear as her teeth graze across her lower lip, she moves her right hand to the blade's edge, wincing deeply as steel cuts into skin. The anticipation only made it worse, and as she takes in a sharp, hissing breath through her teeth, shoulders shaking as she finally pulls the weapon away. Blood gathering in beads of red before beginning to drag down her palm, Elly slowly crouches down, her hand extended to the monster before them.

They say that only by consuming flesh and blood would their pain cease. So please, even if for a moment, let this work... ]

[Reno watched with confusion and incredulity. What was happening? Why was she... and then holding it out like that? Some kind of magic?]

... What're you doing with that?

[ It feels weirdly out of body, but as she holds her hand out to the monster, blood dripping near his lips, it seems to calm him for just a moment before his eyes finally close. Not realizing that she had been holding her breath, Elly exhales, closing that hand tightly and cupping her other over it. ]

I'm sorry. I guess I couldn't help you after all.

[ Her lips tremble as she tries desperately to smile. To try to be some reassurance here, as that feeling of hopelessness starts to settle in. ]

All I can do for you now is ease your wounds. ...I'm so sorry.

What... what's happening?

[He wasn't getting answers and he didn't like it. There was a monster and a girl cutting herself and blood, and he didn't understand a damn thing. Why was he even here? Where was here?]
