Crystals have fallen out of the Dream Width in a beautiful meteor shower and scattered all over the world! Due to their origins and mysterious properties, the Curti Center is interested in gathering as many as they can for researching purposes. To incentivize the public in helping out, O'aka has donated a few silver coupons to those top few who collect the most crystals. There's also a rumor that the one person (or more if there's a tie) who collects the most, wins something marvelous and mysterious~

The hunt for these crystals have taken storm across Vaikuntha and they're suddenly worth a lot. It's all anyone talks about anymore! The locals have gone crazy with it! If you weren't interested to begin with, surely the madness that is this new fad has sunk its teeth in. Besides, who knows what the crystals can actually do? Are they gifts? Curses? Dust collectors? Only one way to find out.

Chime Crystal - Amico Singing Association

Rumor has it that crystals have emerged around the Singing Association. Once you arrive, however, there seems to be an infestation of a different kind. Frogs. There are frogs everywhere and not a single person in sight. The bizarre thing about this is that they aren't doing frog things.

They're dancing.

"Oh, hey!" a voice speaks up jovially from the corner, hopefully not scaring you too badly. Looks like there's a charming older man sitting at a window seat, frogs leaping around him and a lute in his hands. "There's aren't ordinary frogs, ya know. They're those touch me things! A bunch of my buddies touched 'em, actually, now look what happened. But it's okay! They still know how to have a good time!"

With that, he strums the lute and starts belting out a fine tune. "Send me a kiss by wire. Baby, my hearts on fire! If you refuse me, honey, you'll lose me-" And just as he said, the frogs starting really getting in on it, throwing up their legs in a far too choreographed manner.

Still strumming the lute, he looks at you again. "Want to join in? If you know how to cure them, I might know a way to help you cure the right ones." Keeping his smile, his voice goes a little strained. "Please help. It's been hours."

"Well, at least you're all putting on a ribbeting show."

If you thought Uendo wasn't going to make every possible frog pun he could think of, you clearly didn't know him very well.

With a swipe on his iMog slate, he switches to Scholar and summons Selene for some Esuna casting.

"So, what should I do?"

The bard sighs at the joke but keeps playing. "Well, I cast libra on the crowd here, get a look at what they each might be, and you figure out which one to cure first. Easy!"

He does as he says, casting libra on the four frogs in the immediate vicinity.

The bard mouths 'oh my god' at the second pun but keeps on strumming the lute.

SUCCESS! Frog Four is cured, changing back into a man! He wheezes, laughs a little, and runs out of the building. He'll be fine.

"All right!" the bard laughs happily. "Let's keep the ball rolling, yeah? How about some more?"

The bard groans, his music slowing down. Hasn't he suffered enough???

Anyway. SUCCESS! Frog Four is cured, changing back into a man! He freezes, pretends he's still dancing, and dances his way right out of the area.

"Not bad," the bard says with a little laugh, trying to forget the puns. "Let's see what we get this time."

The bard stops playing for a second, hiding his face in his hands. The frogs stop dancing, too, before he goes back to playing with a renewed energy.

Right, okay, SUCCESS! Frog Two is cured, changing back into a woman! She gasps for breath with wild eyes before crawling away to tuck herself into a corner. She's probably good.

"You're doing great with the healing, anyway," the bard remarks before tossing out another libra.

Klonoa takes out the imog slate and adjusts his class to White Mage. He nods to the man, and flashes a smile.

"Yeah. I think I have a way. Possibly more than one!" He says, looking at all the frogs. He plods closer a bit, bending down to look at them closer.

"They sure seem to be having fun, huh...?"

[mech_and_mutt]

"DON'T TOUCH THEM!!" Red barks out, thrusting a hand before Klonoa in Vaikuntha's rudest use of •Sentinel.

"These things are a pain in the tail. Trust me."

The bard laughs. "Slow down there, boys! They just want to have a little fun, that's all. Your fuzzy friend's right, though. They can be dangerous. Here! You figure out which one to heal first, okay?"

The bard casts libra.

Klonoa awkwardly stiffens at the hand pushed in front of him. "W-wait, I.. I was just going to try and make them not-frogs anymore. That's fine, isn't it?" He says, pulling out a Maiden's Kiss.

"I mean, it seems like that last one is just one of the singers!" He starts to offer the potion to the fourth frog.

[mech_and_mutt]

Doggone it. Well, he couldn't fault Klonoa for picking the obvious choice. "I'll take one after we see how this one turns out, I guess."

"But gimmie one of those Maiden's Kisses. Wouldn't you be better off just castin' Esuna instead?"

[wind_in_my_ears]

"Huh? Well, I--..." Klonoa looks a little uncertain. He isn't very good at this whole "chemist" thing. He sheepishly pushes a few of the potions into Red's hands, and then casts Esuna instead.

SUCCESS! Frog Four is cured, changing back into a man! He ribbits at you and hops out of the building on all fours. Totally normal.

"Good job, kiddo!" the bard says, tossing out another libra. "Let's see how your friend does."

Kuja rolls up his sleeves, and swaps to White Mage. "Of course. I've quite a bit of experience as a White Mage, so I think that ought not to be too difficult."

He rises up into the air, well beyond the reach of the errant frogs. "Point out where the ones I'm supposed to target are, and I shall rectify your little problem post-haste."

"That's the spirit!" the bard laughs. He quickly casts libra. "Thanks for the help, Hero!"

"Good job!" the bard praises, casting libra again. "Let's try two for two!"

SUCCESS! Frog One is cured, changing back into a woman! She stares blankly before screaming and running away.

"Anyway, you're doing great, buddy!" He casts libra again.

Tyzias, holding a briefcase full of Panaceas, sits down wordlessly and just begins... staring at all the frogs intently. It's kinda freaky, actually. Like a bunch of "menacing" katakana are floating off her. She seems exasperated by the sheer ridiculousness of it all, but she doesn't really have any further reaction.

For however long it takes to analyze all the frogs, Tyzias uses [Careful Study] and [Critical Focus] to get a better read on which frogs are bards and which ones are Touch Mes.

Applies the studied status to a target and may follow up with a weak physical combo. The legislacerator track studied targets with uncanny accuracy. This skill can be used to attack and study two targets when the job is mastered. Declining to attack the frogs.

> Critical Focus (Every Frog After Being Studied, One at a Time | Single Target)
Can remove the studied status from a target to learn basic information about it, its stats, and its elemental strengths and weaknesses; and the target's defense is ignored the next time the legislacerator attacks them.

The bard watches the show in silence, idly strumming the lute to keep the frogs distracted. He waits patiently until she's done before casting libra himself. "I hope that helps."

It does! Tyzias will get an extra boost in percentages for the crystal!
