Crystals have fallen out of the Dream Width in a beautiful meteor shower and scattered all over the world! Due to their origins and mysterious properties, the Curti Center is interested in gathering as many as they can for researching purposes. To incentivize the public in helping out, O'aka has donated a few silver coupons to those top few who collect the most crystals. There's also a rumor that the one person (or more if there's a tie) who collects the most, wins something marvelous and mysterious~

The hunt for these crystals have taken storm across Vaikuntha and they're suddenly worth a lot. It's all anyone talks about anymore! The locals have gone crazy with it! If you weren't interested to begin with, surely the madness that is this new fad has sunk its teeth in. Besides, who knows what the crystals can actually do? Are they gifts? Curses? Dust collectors? Only one way to find out.

Why? Why would Vaikuntha torment him like this? It brought him back from the Netherworld, not only restored him to life but healed the body that had long ago been broken on Naboo. Why would it not do the same for Savage? Why bring him here only as a ghost and not restored to life, to reunite the sons of Talzin?

"Why will you not speak to me?!" Maul demands as Savage stares silently at him, tossing aside the nearest chair of the dining table in his anger, sending it into the nearest wall. "Are you angry at me, brother? Is that it? You seek to punish me?!" In frustration, and anger, he puts a fist to his forehead. "Have I not already suffered enough that you must add to my torment?! You, of all people?" He looks back up at Savage, in grief. "You, my brother...who I failed?"

That's right...Savage died thinking he'd failed Maul; that'd he'd never been good enough for his older brother. But no, it was Maul who had failed Savage, as a Master, but more than that, as a brother. Knowledge that came too late, and has haunted him for decades.

Savage raises his head, seeming to understand. He closes his eyes, his head shaking no once, before the wisps of smoke began to dissipate from his form.

They move towards the center of the table, into the Grey Crystal found at its center. The Crystal glows green for a moment before going dormant.

The moment's gone.

An astromech coos from the doorway, the entrance that Maul hadn't created.

BB-8 has his little dome poking around the corner, Valli's head next to his, both looking really worried. BB-8 warbles his concern again.

"Were you... talking to yourself?" Valli asks, scared and uncertain. "There's no one-... You okay?" It's not every day that she's worried about something.

Maul reaches forward in desperation as the visage of his brother begins to fade. "Savage, don't-" But then he's gone again, back to the Pit that claimed him so long ago. For a moment he regards the crystal left behind, before reaching out and closing his hand around it.

When he hears the coo of the astromech, he spins around, but stops himself in time from reaching for the Darksaber when he sees who it is. "...I am fine." He says simply, composing himself. "Old memories. You are BB-8 and...Valli, are you not?" He asks. "Finn is worried about you two."

BB-8 warbles curiously, still sounding concerned. Valli, meanwhile, is just flat-out worried about all this. "We can handle ourselves," she says almost like she believes it. "Right, BB-8?"

The droid sounds significantly less sure before rolling over to Maul's feet. He beeps again, asking how he found the crystal.

"...I am sure." Maul replies dryly, hearing the uncertainty in Valli's tone.

He looks down when BB-8 beeps at him. His Droidspeak has an unusual accent, not unusual considering the half-century that separates him from the droid, but he understands well enough. "A ghost." He replies simply, pocketing the crystal away.

He looks back up at Valli. "Come, we should return you to Finn. He is worried, and the dead are restless here. We should not linger."
