Crystals have fallen out of the Dream Width in a beautiful meteor shower and scattered all over the world! Due to their origins and mysterious properties, the Curti Center is interested in gathering as many as they can for researching purposes. To incentivize the public in helping out, O'aka has donated a few silver coupons to those top few who collect the most crystals. There's also a rumor that the one person (or more if there's a tie) who collects the most, wins something marvelous and mysterious~

The hunt for these crystals have taken storm across Vaikuntha and they're suddenly worth a lot. It's all anyone talks about anymore! The locals have gone crazy with it! If you weren't interested to begin with, surely the madness that is this new fad has sunk its teeth in. Besides, who knows what the crystals can actually do? Are they gifts? Curses? Dust collectors? Only one way to find out.

“I’m fine, I guess.” He shrugs with a disgusted grimace on his face. “These crystals are all dumb, though. It’s annoying. Everyone’s looking for them. You’re not, are you?

“No, never mind. Don’t answer that.” Jeff rolls his eyes towards the ceiling. “The only thing that could make this day worse are some crystal hunters coming in here. Like Domon. He’s so dumb! Geez!”

Jeff takes a deep breath!! … And slowly lets it out. Looks like he’s back to his glassy-eyed self.

Oh, she knew that 'I'm fine'. She'd used that 'I'm fine' in the past. His opinion of the crystals and the people hunting them was more interesting.

She had no problem admitting what she was up to, but it was obvious that Jeff wasn't thrilled by the idea.

"You sure you're okay?"

He seemed a little too affected by the idea of the crystals to just be superficially irritated.

Jeff groans. Loudly. “It doesn’t matter!” Is he even talking to you? “Look, just, don’t worry about it. Okay?”

He looks pretty put off about the whole thing. It might be best to gather more information on your own before trying to get through his stubborn facade again.

Well then. This was probably part of why she preferred dealing with tech. People could be a little ridiculous at times. "Okay."

When it looked like she wasn't going to get anything more out of Jeff, she just shrugged and raised her hand to wave before finally turning to head further into the museum itself.

Congrats, you’re in the museum proper now! What should we look at first, Hero?

After a moment of deliberation, the choice was an easy one. Pidge fully intended on checking out all of the available exhibits, but for now she was going to start with the hamsters.

This exhibit is quite small, actually. In all honesty, it’s on the brink of being shut down. Too horrifying, the natives say, and you can see why. There are actual small models of the hamsters on display, each one as life-like as possible considering few have seen a hamster and survived.

Speaking of survivors, there’s a flatscreen on the wall, interviews playing depicting tales of survival against these awful beasts.

It was actually a little disappointing, how small this exhibit was. But Pidge had seen a lot of strange things in her life, and she wasn't going to shy away from this now. The models were interesting enough, so she decided to focus on those first.

There seem to be a line up of hamsters each on a little pedestal, each with a plaque to identify who is who. In the line-up, there are Crystallian, Animus, Roborovsky, Deadly Poisonous Zanzibar-

Was that someone sneezing? No one else is here… Ah well. There’s the Magitek, Scholarly, Highly Tactical, Dangerously Rolling-

Just as you come to the Hamster of the Rodent Table, there’s another sneeze. Except this time, you actually see it in action. The hamster in their gilded armor wipes his nose on his furry little arm.

This was even better than she'd hoped. The models were pretty cute, and Pidge was currently taking photos with her iMog - for posterity, of course.

Someone sneezed, and her immediate response was a "Bless you!", but then she was glancing around because she was pretty sure she hadn't heard anyone else come in.

It was only as she approached the next set of models that she heard the second sneeze. Saw it in action, even. And this time, she froze, because she hadn't been expecting to see such realism.
