Crystals have fallen out of the Dream Width in a beautiful meteor shower and scattered all over the world! Due to their origins and mysterious properties, the Curti Center is interested in gathering as many as they can for researching purposes. To incentivize the public in helping out, O'aka has donated a few silver coupons to those top few who collect the most crystals. There's also a rumor that the one person (or more if there's a tie) who collects the most, wins something marvelous and mysterious~

The hunt for these crystals have taken storm across Vaikuntha and they're suddenly worth a lot. It's all anyone talks about anymore! The locals have gone crazy with it! If you weren't interested to begin with, surely the madness that is this new fad has sunk its teeth in. Besides, who knows what the crystals can actually do? Are they gifts? Curses? Dust collectors? Only one way to find out.

"My brother Flash will see to it that you're escorted off the premises." He gestures to the dangerously rolling hamster.

The other is chuckling, shuffling back and forth in his ball, looking really excited. Seems like he's hoping you'll fail. That's not much of a cheerleader.

"Don't mind him. He means well."

[wind_in_my_ears]

"...Oh."

Klonoa says, doing a little shuffling of his own. This isn't exactly the most comfortable situation he's ever been in. ...that being said, it's also not the most dangerous somehow, either.

"Well, I'll do my best, I suppose!" He says emphatically.

"That's the best mindset to have," the hamster says with a few nods. "Now, let us begin.

"What's your favorite color?"

Klonoa thinks, long and hard. Wow... Really starting off with the rough ones, aren't they? He sighs, putting his hand to his head, scratching slowly against his hat. Red is such a good color, and blue is pretty hard to beat as well. Hey, green is really good too--it's the color of so many things he likes! black, white.. well, do those even count?

He frowns, squinting for a good long while, before finally he nods, answer in hand. Or, hat, as it were.

"Yellow. My favorite color is yellow!"

"Excellent choice." The hamster nods. "Two more.

"Where can a Summoner find and receive the aid of Choco/Mog?"

Klonoa blinks. Eidolons? That's... actually something he does know about. His mind thinks back to the books, to Kuja, the great wall, and talks with Adrien, smart guy.

"I don't.. wait, I remember; that's the weird one that isn't like the others, isn't it? You have to call out for help in the chocobo farm so that they can hear you."

Again, he muses on his similarities to the summoned creatures. At least they really do seem like they want to help.

"Correct!" The hamster looks very happy that Klonoa got that one. "Now, the last question.

"What is the preferred weapon of a Scholar?"

Klonoa tilts his head, staring blankly. Scholars? Like... bookish smart people that know a lot and go to libraries (that hopefully aren't as huge or dangerous as that one they went to before)? Why would they need weapons? Well, if they were going to... Maybe they could give someone a good thwacking.

After a few moments, he says "...Books? Those, big... heavy kind of books?"

Hmm. The hamster stares up at Kuja for a long moment before-

"I concede. Congratulations, you have earned yourself a Plasma Crystal."

Flash rolls away and returns hardly a second later, shoving a Crystal to Klonoa's feet.

"Thank you for your time," the scholarly hamster says. "You have one minute and thirty seconds to leave the island."
