Crystals have fallen out of the Dream Width in a beautiful meteor shower and scattered all over the world! Due to their origins and mysterious properties, the Curti Center is interested in gathering as many as they can for researching purposes. To incentivize the public in helping out, O'aka has donated a few silver coupons to those top few who collect the most crystals. There's also a rumor that the one person (or more if there's a tie) who collects the most, wins something marvelous and mysterious~

The hunt for these crystals have taken storm across Vaikuntha and they're suddenly worth a lot. It's all anyone talks about anymore! The locals have gone crazy with it! If you weren't interested to begin with, surely the madness that is this new fad has sunk its teeth in. Besides, who knows what the crystals can actually do? Are they gifts? Curses? Dust collectors? Only one way to find out.

He chuckles in response. Oh, that's quick wit. "That riddle has no answer, unless it does. But it doesn't, though it might.

"I regret to say that you won't win favors for the crystal by telling riddles, but they are enjoyed. Thank you."

Well, it was worth a try, at least. She couldn't even feel bad for not fooling the fuzzy little guy.

So, she shrugged and smiled. "Was worth a try~ And I suppose I'm ready now."

"Very well," the hamster chuckles, then clears his throat. "First question. What is your favorite color?"

[pidgeypidge]

Oh. That was... actually pretty simple. Not at all what she'd been expecting, honestly.

Another shrug. "Mmm... either midnight blue or forest green." Though, most darker shades were pretty okay.

The hamster blinks. His ear twitches. "You aren't certain? Oh my..." He looks at his brother, the dangerously rolling hamster, who's starting to twitch in excitement.

The hamster kinda likes Pidge, though, so she has a chance to clarify the "vague" response.

Admittedly, it wasn't something she'd spent a lot of time or consideration on. But if he was going to take the question this seriously, the least she could do was pick one.

Besides, she didn't particularly feel like being run over by an adorable hamster today.

"The blue, for sure."

The hamster stares at Pidge for a long moment before nodding. "Excellent choice. Now, just two more.

"Where are you from?"

[pidgeypidge]

She couldn't really tell if he was just humoring her or not, but she supposed it didn't matter that much. And that second question was nice and straightforward.

"I'm from a world called Earth. It's nothing like this, and I'd really like to go back there someday soon." Mostly because all of her friends had already gone back. Or so she was assuming.

"Then I hope you are able," the hamster says then wiggles. "Now, the last question.

"Which asterisk is only available within the Dream Width itself?"

[pidgeypidge]

And Pidge had no idea what the answer to that question was. Nor did she particularly care.

"You know, I have no idea. The only thing the Dream Width has ever done for me is take all my friends away. So go ahead and do your worst, but I'm not leaving without a crystal."

Or maybe she would. Who could say for sure?

[hatejakku]

"Oh dear," the hamster sighs. "That's unfortunate. Well, it was a pleasure to meet you. It's been an excellent discussion.

"Flash, please show this young Hero off the island, please."

Flash jumps up and down inside the hamster ball before revving up. The ball's spinning like mad, kicking up sand several feet into the air! Then he zips off, headed straight for Pidge.

[pidgeypidge]

"Yea, it was fun while it lasted."

She probably could've guessed at the answer, but by this point, Pidge was beyond caring. She'd come here for that crystal, and standing around playing twenty questions wasn't as exciting as some people might think it would be.

The sight of that ball spinning up was pretty alarming, but Pidge knew what she had to do. It was unlikely that she'd manage to snag one of those crystals and make it off the island unscathed, but she was certainly going to try!

Pidge was already moving by the time the ball came charging for her, and she'd just have to hope that she was somehow faster than Flash. Either way, she was racing toward the crystals instead of heading back the way she'd come.
