Crystals have fallen out of the Dream Width in a beautiful meteor shower and scattered all over the world! Due to their origins and mysterious properties, the Curti Center is interested in gathering as many as they can for researching purposes. To incentivize the public in helping out, O'aka has donated a few silver coupons to those top few who collect the most crystals. There's also a rumor that the one person (or more if there's a tie) who collects the most, wins something marvelous and mysterious~

The hunt for these crystals have taken storm across Vaikuntha and they're suddenly worth a lot. It's all anyone talks about anymore! The locals have gone crazy with it! If you weren't interested to begin with, surely the madness that is this new fad has sunk its teeth in. Besides, who knows what the crystals can actually do? Are they gifts? Curses? Dust collectors? Only one way to find out.

Oh ho ho~

Not to be deterred by any sort of dare, Selphie accepts the challenge of the dancing Cactuar. There's two dances that she knows in particular as she raises her hands to start a simple clapping rhythm to get the crowd going. She starts to bounce on the balls of her feet, right first and then left in a traditional dance that is performed exclusively at Garden Festivals.

Her right foot moves in front of the left for a few rounds before her normally clumsy feet tear into a flurry of rapid feet movements akin to tap dancing. The dusty ground absorbs most of the sound as she performs a dazzling high kick. With an excited look on her face, the perky brunette gives the Cactuar a joyful nod as she waits for the next move to begin.

Wow! The Cactuars weren't expecting that!! They're all hopping around and cheering for Selphie, loving that performance!

The challenger knows when he's been beaten. He huffs a sigh and hops over to the Arrow Crystals to give Selphie her-

"NOT SO FAST!" The voice is accompanied by a cascade of beeps!

The crowd parts as BB-8 and Valli push through, coasting to a stop right where the challenging Cactuar once stood. They turn to face Selphie, and Valli exclaims, "We demand the right to dance!"

BB-8 hangs back, opening a compartment in his little ball body to show an elaborate setup of speakers. A song of classical origins starts pumping through, the droid shaking with the bass and wobbling around in a dance. Meanwhile, Valli does a spin and- That's a moonwalk. She's doing the moonwalk. Oh, that's the worm. And the robot. She's pretty good at this.

And the Cactuars LOVE IT!!!

As Valli's doing the running man, she points at Selphie. WELL!?!?!

Selphie isn't expecting a second challenger as she hears an unfamiliar voice and the beeping of a tiny robot. Wait, a second. Could these be the two that Finn is looking for?

"Hey!" She calls a bit breathlessly to the moogle. "Do you know Finn?"

The perky brunette watches Valli dancing, clearly impressed by the display. She's not familiar with those dance moves as they were never taught at Garden but is genuinely amazed by the talent being displayed.

Selphie gives Valli a round of applause as she saunters over to BB-8. Crouching next to the wobbling robot, the SeeD is intent on asking the robot if it has any other songs. There's one in particular that she has in mind.

"Do you have a song called Waltz for the Moon by any chance?" she asks before turning to the Cactuar with her best courtly bow. "Hey! May I have this dance?"

BB-8 warbles and changes his tune a few different times until he hits the song Selphie was looking for. Valli looks a little betrayed by this turn of events but does nothing more than scoff and cross her arms.

The Cactuar, however, looks honored by the question! He bows lowly and steps forward, definitely willing to dance with the victor of their previous dance-off.
