What: Ganeshan, the resident Job Expert, will be taking the new arrivals around the the various Guilds so they can collect their chosen Job Asterisks as noted in their applications.

Enter the Master

[Each new arrival's iMog buzzes with a message instructing them to gather for a worldwide adventure to obtain the power of Vaikuntha. If they follow the invitation's instructions, they will arrive at outside of the airship hanger on the morning of the 15th, with their meager belongings packed.

An Enterprise-Class airship, the Ragnarok, hovers outside of the Curti Center. There is a flash of light on the top of the ship.]

"WELCOME!"

[A figure, minuscule at this distance, launches itself off of the ship and hurtles toward the ground. As he draws closer to the ground, he starts to flip, landing with a flourish. An armored figure, sans helm, turns his toothy Zora grin to the crowd. With a shimmer, his armor transforms into a white mage's robe, and he sends a rush of wind through the crowd for dramatic effect.]

"I AM GANESHAN, THE JOB MASTER! GYA HA HA HA! TODAY, YOUR LIVES WILL CHANGE FOREVER."

[Ganeshan shimmers again, ruthlessly abusing the Chemist's Modifier skill to once again shift Job Classes so he can lower the airship's loading dock with a wave of his hand.]

"I BELIEVE THAT EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOU HAS THE ABILITY TO MASTER THE JOB CLASSES. SOME OF YOU MAY MASTER MANY, OTHERS WILL PURSUE THE PERFECT MASTERY OF JUST ONE. BUT EITHER WAY, YOU'LL BE INCREDIBLE!"

[Ganeshan gives everyone a big thumbs-up. The out-worlders who are not scared off by this booming speech can feel free to enter the airship and prepare for their ride around the world. Hopefully some of the Curti Center's newest hires can serve as non-crazy less exuberant tour guides for the new arrivals.]

Around the World

[The Ragnarok will be stopping at every major city in Vaikuntha, with the exception of those cut off by the Imperial border closing. Characters can create top levels to respond to the Guild prompts and explore the cities themselves as the ship makes its stops. Each Guild provides information sessions, free food and trinkets for potential applicants, and once you're ready to receive your Asterisk, all you have to do is take some introductory lessons and fill out forms. Characters can receive up to two asterisks. Time to get to know your new world!

[He grins at the memory though and raises his hand for a fistbump.]

Fresh out. Kinda thinking of getting one later, though.

[He may or may not be slightly bummed by this and being stuck with basically a fancy, giant stick and a tonberry doll for the moment. Is he admitting this? Hell no.

He doesn't leave Prompto hanging, though. Fistbumps.]

Nooo kidding. [A beat.] Man, if he does show up later, how do you think he'll deal when we're ahead of him for once?

[Because he just realized that they'll have more experience with this job stuff then he will. It's kind of blowing his mind.]

Get me a chocobo doll!

[Prompto has priorities. Noct earned that fistbump fair and square. Gladio would have gotten teased. It's just the way they are.]

Whoa, it'll be so awesome. We'd have to teach him everything! [He grins.]

I think when we break the news- [Because there's no way Gladio isn't coming right?] it has to be over cup noodle!

Sure. When I got the gil to do it.

[Not half bad priorities, either. Though now he's contemplating whether he wants to rely on hunts for a living, or actually get a job (the other kind *shudder*).]

Yeah. Talk about a role reversal. [He smirks back.]

Do they even have that here? I know they have Ebony, but... [Hm. Maybe a trip to the grocery store's in order after this world and guilds tour.]

Yes! Thank you!

[Prompto grins brightly because he might get a chocobo doll out of this.]

Just tell me how much it is. I'll get money eventually. I'll pay you for it!

[It should be really fluffy and it can sit on his bed with him when he's sleeping.]

I don't know, I haven't seen it. But surely they have to, I mean, what do people eat here when they can't cook?

Will have to take a look around, but will do.

[Only the best for his bros, mmkay. Super fluffy being one of the requirements.]

No idea. Befriend a cook, maybe? [He shrugs.] Can always check it out later.

[chocobosnap]

[He'll be super excited when he gets it, until then he'll just be patient. Someday, a chocobo plush is in his future.]

Yeah, I'm well aware of your way of getting around cooking. [He snickers.]

Okay, sounds good. You know, you could've learned to cook. If Ignis decided not to feed us, I could only make you salad!

Hey. For your information, I have tried.

[It's just a problem of, well, burning it. Badly.]

He offered to teach me once. I said no because he wanted to do it at five in the morning.

[And considering the cans of beans and Gladio's gas problem, he regrets it. So much.]

Five in the morning, is he nuts?

[He doesn't have a problem with getting up at five in the morning. That's some prime running time. He has a problem with eating at five in the morning.

He makes a face to suggest exactly what he thinks about that.]

He has to have been messing with you dude.

No, it's... pretty much when he woke me up to help with breakfast a few times.

[Cutting vegetables he hates and stirring a pot of stew with them inside. What's not to love about that? He leaves out the part about the black chocobo for Ignis' benefit. For now. Rubbing his neck instead of saying it.]

[chocobosnap]

I guess, but can't you learn to cook while making dinner?

[That just makes more sense to him. Teach Noctis first. Then make him get up in the morning and cook breakfast.]

Ask Specs about it later.

[Because he wonders that himself and has no idea.]

[chocobosnap]

[He groans.]

If I ask, he'll rope me into doing it!

Like you'd say no to learning how to make more than just a salad.

[He'll even join in with?]

Yeah, okay, as long as it's not five in the morning, that's my running time.

[Yes Noct, he's a chipper morning person, while Noct sleeps away the whole morning.]

Pretty sure we can talk him out of that with that excuse.

[Which means at least another hour to sleep in. Score!

... Like you complain about the extra time to set up pranks on him. And then Clarus hecked it up with training montages.]

Okay cool. [He grins and flashes a victory sign.

Speaking of pranks, he's already planning something great. Noct will be so surprised.]

[Oh, don't worry. So does Noctis. He already found something Prompto will enjoy at a store in Kiddilion.]

So, do you get to pick your bird, or...?

Yeah, I think so. I can't decide which one is the fluffiest.

[Because what even is chocobo speed? Any bird he chooses will automatically be the best.]

They're all pretty fluffy...

[Sorry, man. He can't help you there. He already wants to hug all of them.]

Well how else do you pick just one chocobo?

[It's so hard to decide, wait, can he have all of them?]

Dude, new plan. Open the back door and take them all home!

I know but they're all just so cute, soft and fluffy. I want to hug all of them!

Hm... [He thinks on this a moment.] How about we split up?

[That way they can split evenly how many chocobos they hug and compare which of the ones they've hugged or petted are the fluffiest?

[He stares at Noctis a moment.]

[He offers a fistbump.]

[It's entirely possible, that one of the chocobos that have just grown out of being a chick might follow him around once he hugged it.]
