Event || Worldwide Tourists

Who: All New Arrivals and Curti Center Staff
When: April 15th-30th
Where: All over Vaikuntha, starting outside of the airship hanger
What: Ganeshan, the resident Job Expert, will be taking the new arrivals around the the various Guilds so they can collect their chosen Job Asterisks as noted in their applications.

Enter the Master

[Each new arrival's iMog buzzes with a message instructing them to gather for a worldwide adventure to obtain the power of Vaikuntha. If they follow the invitation's instructions, they will arrive at outside of the airship hanger on the morning of the 15th, with their meager belongings packed.

An Enterprise-Class airship, the Ragnarok, hovers outside of the Curti Center. There is a flash of light on the top of the ship.]

"WELCOME!"

[A figure, minuscule at this distance, launches itself off of the ship and hurtles toward the ground. As he draws closer to the ground, he starts to flip, landing with a flourish. An armored figure, sans helm, turns his toothy Zora grin to the crowd. With a shimmer, his armor transforms into a white mage's robe, and he sends a rush of wind through the crowd for dramatic effect.]

"I AM GANESHAN, THE JOB MASTER! GYA HA HA HA! TODAY, YOUR LIVES WILL CHANGE FOREVER."

[Ganeshan shimmers again, ruthlessly abusing the Chemist's Modifier skill to once again shift Job Classes so he can lower the airship's loading dock with a wave of his hand.]

"I BELIEVE THAT EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOU HAS THE ABILITY TO MASTER THE JOB CLASSES. SOME OF YOU MAY MASTER MANY, OTHERS WILL PURSUE THE PERFECT MASTERY OF JUST ONE. BUT EITHER WAY, YOU'LL BE INCREDIBLE!"

[Ganeshan gives everyone a big thumbs-up. The out-worlders who are not scared off by this booming speech can feel free to enter the airship and prepare for their ride around the world. Hopefully some of the Curti Center's newest hires can serve as ~~non-crazy~~ less exuberant tour guides for the new arrivals.]

Around the World

[The Ragnarok will be stopping at every major city in Vaikuntha, with the exception of those cut off by the Imperial border closing. Characters can create top levels to respond to the Guild prompts and explore the cities themselves as the ship makes its stops. Each Guild provides information sessions, free food and trinkets for potential applicants, and once you're ready to receive your Asterisk, all you have to do is take some introductory lessons and fill out forms. Characters can receive up to two asterisks. Time to get to know your new world!

Speaking of pranks, he's already planning something great. Noct will be so surprised.]

[Oh, don't worry. So does Noctis. He already found something Prompto will enjoy at a store in Kiddilion.]

So, do you get to pick your bird, or...?

Yeah, I think so. I can't decide which one is the fluffiest.

[Because what even is chocobo speed? Any bird he chooses will automatically be the best.]

They're all pretty fluffy...

[Sorry, man. He can't help you there. He already wants to hug all of them.]

Well how else do you pick just one chocobo?

[It's so hard to decide, wait, can he have all of them?]

Dude, new plan. Open the back door and take them all home!

You know, pretty sure they'd take offense to that...

[Prompto no we can't have all the chocobos. ~~As awesome as that would be...~~]

I know but they're all just so cute, soft and fluffy. I want to hug all of them!

[It's so hard to decide bro, help him!]

Hm... [He thinks on this a moment.] How about we split up?

[That way they can split evenly how many chocobos they hug and compare which of the ones they've hugged or petted are the fluffiest?

Watch one of them really take to Prompto in the process...]

[He stares at Noctis a moment.]

Dude. This is the best plan ever!

[He offers a fistbump.]

I'll start at that end, we'll meet in the middle.

[It's entirely possible, that one of the chocobos that have just grown out of being a chick might follow him around once he hugged it.]

I thought you'd like it. [He grins, and fistbump!] Gotcha.

[He goes to the other end, himself. Doing his best not to grin too much at how enthused his best friend is. He's not very successful.

Especially when he turns and does, indeed, see a young, super fluffy bird following Prompto. D'aww.]

[Prompto doesn't notice at first, giving a hug to two more chocobos, giving them a good cuddle just because he can and when he lets go the one behind him pecks his back]

Hey!

[He turns and laughs, it is so fluffy and cute.] I remember you. [Who forgets a chocobo they hugged? He wraps his arms around it again, lavishing attention which seems to be what it wants.]

Wanna come home with me? Is that why you're following me?

[He doesn't know if his bird understands, but it lets out a loud, bossy kweh]

[Noctis pets one more, before walking to meet up with Prompto and the bird that seems to have chosen his best friend. Hands in his pockets, he smirks.]

Looks like someone's made a new friend.

[The bird kwehs again, and he chuckles. Yep. Definitely a feisty young one. Perfect.]

Yeah, definitely likes you.

[Feisty, fluffy and adorable. It's the perfect chocobo for him. He hugs it easily because how can he not?]

What a good boy. [So much adoring of this chocobo.]

This is Noct, he's my best friend, and he'll hug you too. We just need a name for you.

I bet he's a great battle chocobo!

[Don't look at him; he'd be surprised if there WAS a chocobo Prompto couldn't hug.]

Certainly is feisty enough. [He reaches to give the birb a pet.] Any ideas?

[Please let it not be Puffball II.]

Oh man, hang on, I don't know!

[He appreciates a fiesty bird though, and his Moogle's name is Puffball because he has a puffball.

His chocobo has a puffy tail...

It's also yellow.]

I could pick something like...Lemon?

[He's really, really bad at this.]

[He gives his best friend a Loot, and, since the bird can't speak for itself...]

...No.

[Please don't submit your bird to such a sour name, Prompto. You can do better than that!]

Well I don't know, okay I'm thinking...what about...Fluffy?

[He waited a beat.]

Or banana?

...Are you hungry or something?

[Because that's the second mention of food-based names.]

Kind of, but bananas are yellow!

[He's so uncreative when it comes to names.]

Alright alright...what about...Sunshine?

[Next thing to do then: Find food. After making sure Prompto doesn't name his bird after any.]

I think... that's the best one you've come up with so far.

[Translation: He likes it. It's cute and it fits.]

But what does your feathery friend think of it? [He asks, giving the feisty little thing a scratch behind its jawbone.

[Good enough bro, if Noct approves, then that's his bird's new name.]

Sunshine it is!

[Sunshine preens a little bit and then tries to groom Prompto's hair. Prompto giggles and bats the beak away a few times.]

Hey hey, I styled that already!

[Okay, now that? Completely and utterly adorable. Yet for Prompto's sake, he doesn't comment on or laugh about it. Much. It still elicits a chuckle out of him.]

I think Sunshine wants to help, anyway.

[S m i r k.]

[Sunshine warks playfully and goes in to go after the strands again.]

Hey hey, it was prefect as it was! I'm good, I don't need help!

[He chuckles and ducks his head.]

Sunshine's kinda bossy, right? [He grins.]

[One sec, taking a photo on the mogslate...]

Just a little bit. [Smirking intensifies.] Maybe Sunshine'll keep you on your toes.

[That's horrible blackmail. Worst best friend ever.]

Maybe. [He still flashes his new friend with a bright smile and hugs her around the neck, nuzzling the feathers.]

Perfectly soft and fluffy. Best chocobo ever. You're coming home with me! And Noct, but he's not your owner.

[Sunshine's not likely to forget that, because that beak is back in his hair the moment his new friend gets the chance.]
