[Closed] Great Geezard Grumble

Who: Adrien Agreste and Nanamo Ul Namo

Where: Pupuland
What: Quest! - The Seven Hundred and Seventy Seven! The PuPus of PuPuland require assistance. It seems that there are swarms of Geezards roaming the land for their annual migration yes yes. But this time they're taking a detour through PuPuland no no. Please slay 10 of them and bring back 10 Geezard livers so that we can cook them into a fine stew yes yes!
Warnings/Notes: Well, there's a fight involved and gathering Geezard livers. Other than that, nothing.

Seemed like the Quest came just in time. Considering the Gauntlet was just a few days away now, he wondered if the timing could be considered fortunate or unfortunate. He guessed it was a matter of perspective, but overall, it was just an unfortunate situation for the PuPus. What could've even caused the Gizzards to detour through PuPuland in the first place?

Maybe they'd find out as they rounded up and gathered some livers. First... well, they had to get there.

"So, what exactly is Pupuland like?"

Chasing several more down, she rescued a PuPu from its distress, making sure it left the area before distracting the Geezard. "Come come, you need to go this way!"

It made a noise and lunged at Nanamo, but she dodged around it and herded it as well. "How many are we up to?"

A few false swipes not even to attack the Geezards already seem to have them rolling and... death keeling almost. Weird, this is weird... Still, he managed to get three of them rolling back to join the group.

"Uh... I have three here. There's a fourth one in that trash bin."

They seemed to be very weak, but Nanamo supposed against a PuPu, it was like trying to send a moogle army against them. Not really feasible.

"I have counted seven by my mark then. We'll need three more to fill our quota." She fished one out of a nearby mailbox and tossed it aside. "I'd almost feel bad for killing them, if it weren't for the fact that they are a menace to PuPus."

"I do too. I guess they're considered more pests than real threats everywhere else..."

Scaring the Geezard out of the garbage, he noticed another one kind of... menacing a PuPu now. However, a flash of his blade and it was scurrying to join its group.

Chasing two more into the area, Nanamo took a quick headcount. "Well, there's 10 here. Divide them up I'd imagine?"

She loaded her gun and took aim, a swirl of magic accompanying the attack from her other hand where the rapier was flipped about into it's staff form. "On three?"

"Yeah. Should be easy enough to take down five."

Gripping his sword a little harder, he shifted his stance and got ready for his ability. With a nod, he started the count. "One... two..."

"Three!" Nanamo unleashed her weak fire spell as with a few shots from her gun, killing five on her side with precise shots. With unceremonious cries they died under her assault.

"That was incredibly easy," she remarked.

Blade flashing as Adrien made several arching strikes, all five Geezards were critically injured and taken down. Way too fast. Was that really all?

"Yeah... I'm worried that this is too easy." Were the livers they needed okay?

"You are correct on that assumption," said Nanamo, frowning. "This is too fast and yet..."

Moving over to the felled monsters, she looted the livers and inspected them. "They look all right? I suppose since a giant Geezard didn't appear, this is all that was expected."

Adrien with Blanc's help looted the five Geezards he took down as well. They extracted one Gil from each and five livers. Turning them over in his hand, it didn't look like anything was wrong with them, but he wasn't a doctor... or butcher. Which one would be more suited for this?

"Maybe... should we have a look around in case?"

"Perhaps it would be a good idea." Nanamo stood up and placed the five livers into a safe lock bag. "Let us be off then. This was far too easy for its own good."

Putting his five livers away for later, he nodded while cleaning and sheathing his sword. "Maybe one of the PuPus could tell us also if there's any area with a high concentration of Geezards, or anything else suspicious."

"Good idea. Let us ask around." Said Nanamo with a nod. She looked over and pointed at the quest board where a few PuPus were standing around. "Let's try them."

Trotting over, she asked, "Good PuPus, can we ask you a question?"

Turning when Nanamo points, Adrien followed her over to speak to them. The PuPus seemed calmer now, but were still skittish at their approach. Were they scared of them despite getting rid of the Geezards?

The PuPus looked amongst themselves, as Nanamo asked, "Is that all you need us to do? The Geezards have been routed, is 10 all you need?"

The PuPus nodded, looking between the pair and seemingly they wanted to ask if they had made certain the Geezards were gone.

"... Were there any more areas that the Geezards were gathering besides here?"

Because they were still staring at them...

Slowly, the PuPus shook their heads as Nanamo let out a deep sigh. "It appears they are short on words, but it seems our task is done. Shall we go turn in our delivery?"

"... I guess. I still feel like this quest isn't complete though." But maybe that was just him? He probably does seem too wary... the geezards weren't difficult to defeat so maybe that was all throwing him off.

[nanaimo_bar]

"To be honest, it feels very anticlimactic." agreed Nanamo. "But if ten is all they need, going out of our way to exterminate an entire migration might be a little too impactful of us."

"... Yeah, that's true." And they were just fairly non-threatening. Wiping them out would not be right. "Alright, let's deliver the livers."

"Yes. We should then collect our reward. I have been thinking maybe we should pick up something at the PuPu bakery for our respective homes. There are some very delicious looking desserts there." said Nanamo, a spring coming to her step.

"A PuPu bakery? Sure! I know Hunk would like to try something new!" At least, he doesn't think Hunk's been to a PuPu bakery yet... but he probably had.

"Ah you're rooming with Hunk? He's a good man," said Nanamo with a grin. "Let us be off then, I know the bakery is on main."

"He is. Him and Shiro." It's really great to room with both of them. "Okay..."

Though, as they proceeded, he grimaced slightly. "I hope they have a sink there. I really need to watch my hands."

"The same," said Nanamo as they reached the bakery, and inside was a warm, welcoming smell. "I have heard they use root vegetables as their water base."

Pushing inside, she gestured towards the side where two bathrooms doors were. "I will wash up and join with you anon, and then we will order."
