[Closed] Great Geezard Grumble

Who: Adrien Agreste and Nanamo Ul Namo

Where: Pupuland
What: Quest! - The Seven Hundred and Seventy Seven! The PuPus of PuPuland require assistance. It seems that there are swarms of Geezards roaming the land for their annual migration yes yes. But this time they're taking a detour through PuPuland no no. Please slay 10 of them and bring back 10 Geezard livers so that we can cook them into a fine stew yes yes!
Warnings/Notes: Well, there's a fight involved and gathering Geezard livers. Other than that, nothing.

Seemed like the Quest came just in time. Considering the Gauntlet was just a few days away now, he wondered if the timing could be considered fortunate or unfortunate. He guessed it was a matter of perspective, but overall, it was just an unfortunate situation for the PuPus. What could've even caused the Gizzards to detour through PuPuland in the first place?

Maybe they'd find out as they rounded up and gathered some livers. First... well, they had to get there.

"So, what exactly is Pupuland like?"

"Yes. We should then collect our reward. I have been thinking maybe we should pick up something at the PuPu bakery for our respective homes. There are some very delicious looking desserts there." said Nanamo, a spring coming to her step.

"A PuPu bakery? Sure! I know Hunk would like to try something new!" At least, he doesn't think Hunk's been to a PuPu bakery yet... but he probably had.

"Ah you're rooming with Hunk? He's a good man," said Nanamo with a grin. "Let us be off then, I know the bakery is on main."

"He is. Him and Shiro." It's really great to room with both of them. "Okay..."

Though, as they proceeded, he grimaced slightly. "I hope they have a sink there. I really need to watch my hands."

"The same," said Nanamo as they reached the bakery, and inside was a warm, welcoming smell. "I have heard they use root vegetables as their water base."

Pushing inside, she gestured towards the side where two bathrooms doors were. "I will wash up and join with you anon, and then we will order."

"Oh really?" He wasn't a chef himself so he wasn't certain the difference, but it had to alter the taste, right?

Inside, he was relieved to see the bathrooms right there. "Alright. See you in a bit."

He really just had to wash his hands off. Livers were not fun to carve out.

It did, giving a more naturally sweet textures to their breads and cakes.

Once Nanamo had washed up, she came out and started looking over the pastries. "Donuts, cakes, cookies... my goodness made with carrot puree? What else could they accomplish?"

Hands all clean, Adrien returned out to the main store front and walked over to Nanamo.

"Huh, they have some tarts here too." There was a lot to decide from.

"Yes, and interesting desserts. What is a crueler for example? It looks like those things they call donuts. But it's bumpy." said Nanamo, looking through the glass.

"Crullers? They're a kind of donut." Okay, he might know that much. They just looked like something he could get back home when he could have something sweet.

"Hmm, they might not hold for the trip back. The sugar would melt." said Nanamo.

"Adrien, do you have a suggestion on what we could bring back? Something that may hold it's shape without becoming soggy from drizzling."

"Hm..." That was hard to say. A lot of pastries weren't good for long distances. Though...

"... A cake or a pie might make the travel back."

Hmm... she looked over at the cakes and pies assembled and nodded. "Then I will get this fairie apple pie then to share with the rest."

"That sounds good. Maybe I'll get one too."

They had so many cakes as it was right now.

Nanamo smiled as she reached into her pouch and paid for her pie. As they were boxing it up, she checked her timepiece. "If we hurry, we can make it to the airship for a quick flight back."

"Right. One pie for me too, please."

So while they box up Nanamo's, they get his ready as well. One box and a monetary transaction later, Adrien's got his pie too.

"Thank you," said Nanamo before turning to Adrien. "Let us be off. We should hurry to the airship terminal. Our moogles must be waiting for us by now."

Considering that he didn't see Blanc anymore, the moogle probably had flown ahead. He sighed and nodded. What was he going to do about that guy? "Maybe they got our passes back."

"Let us hope so." said Nanamo as she picked up the pace a little. "The next airship leaves in 20 minutes."

"We'll get there in time." Though, Adrien did have a longer stride than Nanamo too...

It was true, but Nanamo kept astride of Adrien as she smiled. "So I hear you had a friend arrive in the last batch of rescued people."

"Yeah, she did." Adrien grinned. "Have you had the chance to meet her at all?"

[nanaimo_bar]

"While I was volunteering at the check up clinic, she showed up," said Nanamo. "It took me a moment to figure out that you and her were friends but she's a bright young girl."

"I see." He can't stop smiling. "Right? She's our class president and she's planning on being a fashion designer."

[nanaimo_bar]

"An admirable goal. The profession of weaving and making clothing is a important one in my home. I am certain she would impress even the staunchest of critics," said Nanamo, grinning as they reached the airship port where the moogles floated.

"Your Grace, we've booked the flight back home." said Papashan.
