Goodbye, Sweet Prince.
Who: Lelouch vi Britannia, Euphemia li Britannia (closed)
When: June 5th, at Night.
Where: Right outside B-08.
What: Euphemia was asked by her sister to no longer associate with Lelouch. And so, she returns to her home to inform him of just that.
Warnings/Notes: None yet.
You can't believe anything he says.
Promise me you'll keep your distance from him.
I know you care about him.
... for your own good.
You cannot associate with him any longer.
[ Returning home never felt so grave. For weeks, it had been a source of respite. Tonight, it was a grave. Returning 'home' filled her with such a sense of dread. Today had been a shock, one that didn't stop. One shock after another. put her on high edge. Even worse when there was barely any time to relax after what was discovered in the Dream Width during their voyage. There was still untouched questions and experiences she wanted to share, yet the arrival of certain individuals made it impossible to focus there. ]
[ She doesn't remember some of it for some reason. A scene or two feels flimsy and foggy, but then the others are far too vivid to forget. Julius was a name she murmured quite often now. A name of someone she recognized and then did not. It left her asking the question of what happened on their world after her death? It wasn't that Lelouch resisted any questions asked, it was simply the fact she was negligent to do so. It felt easier to be blissfully ignorant of their history and try to look forward. The past can't come back to haunt you if you're starting a new leaf. Or so she thought. How wrong she was. ]
[ A hand pressed to the door that she was reluctant to open. Behind that door, Lelouch was either inside doing the usual or somewhere outdoors. Her sister, even if her reasons were strange, at the very least did her a kind favor by allowing her to return. How rude would it be to simply disappear without a trace? He deserved to at least see and understand why she couldn't stay. This was to be their last moment to ever speak. At least until she could figure out a way to convince her sister that Lelouch was not dangerous. At least ... not anymore? Not to her?. What a thing to try and convince given what she knows. What little she was able to learn or, unfortunately, see on her own. ]
[ This was just another challenge she was going to face. Yes, only a challenge. One she believed in overcoming. It is that very fierce resolve that shifts her expression into something determined. She can do this. She can ... tell Lelouch this. It won't be an issue. This is just a very minor setback. It's fine. She can do this. Right?
[ And so she stood at the door. Silent. Uncertain. Afraid... ]

[ And that sends her rushing down the small path, past the gardens she worked on, back to the door where he slumped and threw her arms around him into an embrace. ]
[ Dress items dropped to the floor. Departure paused just for a second. Minute. Moment... ]

When she embraces him? He tries to fight off the urge. His hands stay at his side. Then they shake a little. Before he knows it he hugs her back. Tight.
But what does he say? Why is it always Euphy that makes him lose his nerve? Makes his tongue tied and just at a loss? So Lelouch doesn't say anything. ]

There was not much else to do but to let the embrace she gave him tell her all that in action, and be comforted by the fact he said something in return by the tight embrace given back. This really was a short goodbye. It really was! She really hopes so. Hope is all she has now.
Now it was time to go as someone is waiting for her. As exciting as it may feel to be reunited with her Sister again, she isn't sure she likes at what cost.
After a time of what did not feel long enough, her arms fell from around him as a step is taken back. She kneels to gather her discarded things and rises to give one last look. But a smile is easier to give this time, even if it is not without some tears.
]
Goodbye ... Lelouch.
[ And this time she really hopes there are not more words spoken out loud as she turns to make her way back to that gate again. ]
