What: Characters go to the campgrounds to do some team building exercises and build CR.

A. Arrival

[On the morning of the 17th, Mogaruru directs the outworlders and Curti Center employees who have signed up to the airship headed to the Nah Nami Reserve. Counselors hand out pamphlets with maps, general camp rules, and the week's itinerary. This place loves their pamphlets. Fortunately, most of the rules detail common sense: quiet hours are at 10pm, no smoking or alcohol, no harming the forest wildlife, no setting off fireworks.

After they touch land, the arrivals are free to pick their cabins and set up their rooms before gathering at the mess hall for lunch.]

B. Team Building

[It's not a corporate retreat without ice breakers! On the first day, every splits into groups sharing their names and one interesting fact about themselves. Throughout the day, there's all sorts of get-to-know-each-other events. Maybe Never-Have-I-Ever (alcohol is replaced with juice). A game of Truth or Dare? Trust falls? If it's meant to foster friendships, it's here.

There are also races and obstacle courses for those that want to compete as a team.

Mogaruru oversees the main activities, even leading a workshop in building paper-mache Moogle masks, encouraging everyone to find their passion.]

C. Actual Camping

[There are important life skills to be learned when living in the great outdoors. Hiking, learning about local flora and fauna, and cooking are included in the itinerary. Complaining about the sun and constant reminders about staying hydrated, too.

In the evenings, there's campfires for any type of socializing. Perhaps now is the time to have heart-to-heart chats over roasting marshmallows or swap scary stories about the Camp Lake Ira Killer.]

D. Late Night Hijinks

[After dinner, campgoers are allowed to use Mognet to catch up with news and chat with friends...though considering the glitches that occur during this event, it may prove to be less relaxing considering the glitches that occur in Kupoto's charge.

Things are fine on the 17th. On the 18th, however, messages to and from the Curti Center are delayed by 10 minutes. In an effort to fix this issue, Mognet is down at the Curti Center on the 19th. On the 20th, it's fixed...but all posts are made public. On the 21st, this is addressed, but now every subject line begins with "!Kupo".

Someone is going to have a stern talking-to when Mogaruru returns.

But that's fine. Campers are free to sneak travel outside in a group for totally legal activities. After all, no one would sneak booze or fireworks or play pranks on the other cabins, would they?

At least, if they don't get caught. Otherwise, it's cleanup duty for the rest of the trip.]

E. The Great Outdoors

[The Nah Nami Reserve boasts beautiful forests and a beach. The weather is beautiful. There are no monsters on the reserve...unless one considers the large fish living far from the beach shoreline to be monsters. Or if they are unlucky enough run into one of the larger animals in the forests. Fighting back can be overlooked as long as they don't grievously injure their opponent, ideally escaping without harm to either party. These are protect species, after all. It shouldn't be a problem if they are with Camp Curtisy counselors, but chances are there are some hiking groups that decided to explore the entire island on their own.

The beach includes a long stretch of sand, rock outcrops with tidal pools, and a net for volleyball. Some counselors have "TEAM LAVODE" shirts left from last month's Blitzball tournament, especially the Hypello lifeguards.]

F. Lessons Learned

[Now's the time for the campers to shine. Counselors lead workshops on arts, crafts, survival skills, and languages, but slots are open for all participants to lead a class of their choosing. Want to teach the history of your homeworld? Have any other skills you wish you share? This is your chance to show off what you know!]

After everything that's gone on, Sasami's actually looking forward to a bit of downtime and hopefully getting to know people here a whole lot better! Big bright smile on her face, actual camping clothes instead of her job gear or even her usual kimonos... and a Moogle ready to direct her in everything possible.

"Now, Sasami, as long as you follow my directions and stay on the straight and narrow, you'll have a wonderful time!" Kujo said.

"...you're not trying to make me follow a timeline, are you?" Sasami said, cocking an eyebrow, causing the Moogle to sweat.

Oh, boy! The massive woods, the various trees and flowers, the various creatures! It was so much fun to be had here!

Which is why Sasami's spending her time wandering across the campgrounds and surrounding areas just looking at things in awe.

"Wow... I never thought I'd see things like this... it's so different than it is back home. Both homes!"

Of course, there are creatures out there, and she's not using her jobs, soooo...

Lesson time! Of course, she's not too keen on revealing her past to most people just yet, so it's time for the next best thing - cooking! Despite her being eight (physically and mentally), she's got things all set up for making just about anything!

"I'm gonna show you all how I cook! Everyone from my world really enjoys my cooking. Maybe a little too much, though; I think they might starve without me... BUT, I'm not letting you all starve! If you follow along, you'll be able to handle cooking yourself~!"

When she heard about cooking lessons, Amanda knew she had to suck it up - she wanted to move out on her own eventually, and she might not be able to afford to just eat out all the time at first.

And here she was being taught to cook by a ten year old? If that? "Uh. ...what are your... qualifications again?"

"Self-taught and taught by my grandmother!" Sasami said, matter of factly. And her face turns really stern as she speaks with a scolding voice. "And don't tell her I called her that - she's not that old at all!"

And back to cheery again! "Don't worry, I've made all sorts of dishes. Healthy ones at that!"

"I mean, I guess I'm down for some good old home cooking." Whatever Sasami calls home cooking. Might not be meatloaf and mashed potatoes, especially if it's healthy.

"What if take what you teach me and deep fry it?"

"Um... I'm not sure that would be a good idea. I mean, that's a lot a grease and all..." Sasami said, looking a bit concerned.

"That's the point," she shot back, before letting out a short laugh, "but okay, teach me how to be healthy."

"It certainly is lush," said Nanamo, stepping along Sasami's side with a smile. "It seems like a perfect getaway spot."

“It really does!” Sasami agreed. “I don’t know how the others feel, but I quite enjoy being here!”

"There's more foliage here than around most parts," remarked Nanamo. "There's also plenty of large trees that I haven't seen before."

"It might be," said Nanamo, folding her arms. "There's plenty of possibilities out there."

“It really is...” Sasami said. She couldn’t help but stop and look up at the sky.

"I see. I'm glad you realized as such. No one needs to be burdened with purpose all at once."

"No... no, I don't." Sasami said. She let out a sigh as she stopped, still looking up. "For the longest time, I thought I was something different and, coming to this world, I found out that wasn't the case. I wanted to do so much with this time, but... where's the fun in that?"

"Staying busy is one thing. Doing everything on your own shoulders is another." replied Nanamo. "Find your center on where you want to work at things."

“I will, don’t worry.” Sasami said, letting out a soft sigh before she reached up and undid her twintails, letting her long hair hang loose. “I should start by loosening up a bit!”

"I am a Sultana, I have been learning how to rule my country for a while now," replied Nanamo.

"Hee... I'm a princess, but I haven't had that chance yet. Not when there are others ahead of me." Sasami admitted.

Uendo chuckled at the exchange, but ultimately decided to take Sasami's side. As much as he worried about her himself, there was such a thing as over-protectiveness.

"Now now, Kujo, let the kid make her own fun. There are plenty of adults around to help if anything happens."

"Oh, fine... I swear, this girl, kupo..." Kujo griped.

Sasami giggled and smiled up at Uendo. "Thanks. It's nice to have someone to have my side."

"Don't mention it, Sasami-chan! I'll always have your back, even if I have to go up against every grumpy moogle on Vaikuntha."

Hopefully grumpy moogles were all he had to worry about. Uendo didn't really know how to be a guardian to a little girl, or whether it was even any of his business to try to take that role. Being assigned to the same house didn't mean he had any authority over her, after all.

At least he could try to be a cool big brother, though.

"So, what would you like to do first? Got any plans, or would you rather just wing it?"
