What: Ganeshan, the resident Job Expert, will be taking the new arrivals around the the various Guilds so they can collect their chosen Job Asterisks as noted in their applications.

Enter the Master

[Each new arrival's iMog buzzes with a message instructing them to gather for a worldwide adventure to obtain the power of Vaikuntha. If they follow the invitation's instructions, they will arrive at outside of the airship hanger on the morning of the 15th, with their meager belongings packed.

An Enterprise-Class airship, the Ragnarok, hovers outside of the Curti Center. There is a flash of light on the top of the ship.]

"WELCOME!"

[A figure, minuscule at this distance, launches itself off of the ship and hurtles toward the ground. As he draws closer to the ground, he starts to flip, landing with a flourish. An armored figure, sans helm, turns his toothy Zora grin to the crowd. With a shimmer, his armor transforms into a white mage's robe, and he sends a rush of wind through the crowd for dramatic effect.]

"I AM GANESHAN, THE JOB MASTER! GYA HA HA HA! TODAY, YOUR LIVES WILL CHANGE FOREVER."

[Ganeshan shimmers again, ruthlessly abusing the Chemist's Modifier skill to once again shift Job Classes so he can lower the airship's loading dock with a wave of his hand.]

"I BELIEVE THAT EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOU HAS THE ABILITY TO MASTER THE JOB CLASSES. SOME OF YOU MAY MASTER MANY, OTHERS WILL PURSUE THE PERFECT MASTERY OF JUST ONE. BUT EITHER WAY, YOU'LL BE INCREDIBLE!"

[Ganeshan gives everyone a big thumbs-up. The out-worlders who are not scared off by this booming speech can feel free to enter the airship and prepare for their ride around the world. Hopefully some of the Curti Center's newest hires can serve as non-crazy less exuberant tour guides for the new arrivals.]

Around the World

[The Ragnarok will be stopping at every major city in Vaikuntha, with the exception of those cut off by the Imperial border closing. Characters can create top levels to respond to the Guild prompts and explore the cities themselves as the ship makes its stops. Each Guild provides information sessions, free food and trinkets for potential applicants, and once you're ready to receive your Asterisk, all you have to do is take some introductory lessons and fill out forms. Characters can receive up to two asterisks. Time to get to know your new world!

Option A: Tark Varentain - Ninja Guild

[Exploring the guild is more a curiosity... and maybe some nerd-ish intention. Give him a break, they're real-life ninjas capable of actually using smokescreens and scaling the wall and summoning frogs! He wanted to join in with the free running...]

[... but he kept back, eyes open, but feeling that emptiness again. Black masks and attire just reminded him of his missing possession that he unconsciously rubbed the bare ring finger. Adrien doesn't get to do things like this openly.]

[Maybe on reserve. Looking at the masks again, maybe he could pull someone off.]

Option B: Lavode - Red Mage Guild

[There's a weird feeling of being at home. Weapons to flirtatious mannerisms, but red was so not his actual color. It needed more black or green... or both. And seeing all this red, he wanted to see someone wearing spots with it, but when he does, he just blinked and it was gone.]

[Fencing matches - spell fencing matches - he's almost sold, but it was the red keeping him back. Still, it wasn't enough to keep him from participating in a normal fencing match, keeping up well with Guild members thanks to years of training.]

Option C: Nakagawa - Swordmaster Guild

[Chocobos (and allergies) aside, he felt more at peace being in the Guild. The sword was familiar; the technique, not so much. Still, it wasn't mainly red, wasn't mainly black, and it wasn't making him think so much of what he's not doing right now. He walked around the gardens and breathed, the stresses of earlier locations melting off.]

[The demonstration also helped. Learning how to wield a sword in another way was a distraction. Sure, he wasn't doing as well as at the Red Mage Guild, and incorporating some of the fencing style breaks what was being taught in the Guild, but they're not discouraging it either.]

[Yeah, he could be found taking the Asterisk later.]

[ Euphemia was a little more drawn to the actual city than the guild. The scenery alone was beautiful and one she couldn't help but explore fully. Eventually, however, her travels did allow her to pause and stop to observe the Swordmaster guild. It was eerily familiar to Knights at home, yet they served a far greater purpose here.

Seeing a familiar face, however, made her stop completely. She was not going to pick up any sword, but observing someone else do so was fine with her. ]

You seem very good with that.

[Looking up when someone spoke, Adrien's expression brightened. He lowered the sword and turned to fully address her with a smile.]

Hey Euphy. Yeah, it's not the fighting style taught here yet, but I've been fencing for most of my life.

[euphemia]

[ It was nice to see the familiar face in person. She smiled and watched quietly. ]

A fencer? [ She's surprised. ] I wasn't aware that you also fenced. But ... is this fencing? [ This doesn't look like it. ]

[modelcivilian]

Yeah. I did it competitively and figured I shouldn't fall out of practice.

[He shook his head.]

I think their techniques in the Guild are more similar to kendo and other Japanese styles.

A competitive fencer? You really do live an exciting life. [ And it must make it easier for him to take on this asterisk. Yet wait, this was similar to Kendo? Which was related to Jap-a-nese? But the Japanese were— ]

Kendo. K-kendo is ... an Area 11 technique? I didn't know.

[modelcivilian]

Kind of. It's nothing crazy though like the Olympics.

[One day... maybe when he was old enough.]

Yeah... I think. If Area 11 is Japan where you're from. [Maybe... maybe he doesn't want to know why it's called Area 11 though.]

[euphemia]

... Japan.

Ah. Y-yes, it's ... well, it should no longer be called that now. But in my world, it was referred to as Area 11. My homeland is Britannia.

[modelcivilian]

Oh, okay... [He doesn't know when to ask about what's going on in her world, but things do sounds very different.]

... Have you decided on any Asterisks so far?

[euphemia]

[ She's going to need a good half a minute to recompose. It was a little weird to talk about. ]

I have. I decided to become a White Mage.

[modelcivilian]

White Mage? Neat. People who can heal are always great to have.

[euphemia]

Do you really think so? [ She wasn't so sure. Everyone else seems to be offering something stronger. Her eyes fall to the sword in his hand. It was way too similar to certain things. Or people. ]

A Swordmaster is someone the people can trust. I think ... having one would be ideal for anyone.

[modelcivilian]

Yeah, I do.

Maybe, but a Swordmaster will always hurt someone or something depending on which side of the blade you end up on, even if it's for protection.

[euphemia]

[ It's the reason she's not all too sure about the Asterisks save the one she decided on now. More fighting. ]

Are you worried?

Always. I want to do my best to protect people... I just wish I wasn't better doing that in destructive ways.

Ninjas!

[Not all of the ninjas are wearing masks. There's that moogle again, her white hood pulled down to obscure her face as much as she can. Fortunately she's not completely blinded herself.

Her little legs don't make much for speed, and her wings likewise make up for a lack of arm length, but she puts up an admirable effort on the free running course. Even as she slows down to catch her breath midway through she seems determined to do her best.]

[Adrien hasn't begun participating in any of the ninja demonstrations yet, but he has taken to watching others give them a go. There's a number among their group and he kind of wonders if it's just for the 'rule of cool' that comes of being a ninja they want to try the job.]

[However, he sees a familiar moogle giving the course a go that he knows isn't in it for that rule. Bonnie's giving it her all, but it's apparent that she doesn't have the same speed as the others given her stature. Still, she's doing it and giving it her best he's sure. Adrien claps.]

You can do it, Bonnie!

[The cheering makes her stumble briefly, taken by surprise at the sudden attention. Once it actually clicks that Adrien's cheers are positive though she leans forward and picks up her pace. It's not much faster, but she manages to pour on a bit more speed and style both as she runs and tumbles to the end of the course.

At the very end she takes a diving lunge, tumbling over the finish line and raising her paws in the air in victory.

Her time is a bit sub par but the other ninjas of the guild can't help but join Adrien in his applause for her effort.]

[Sure, it isn't the best time, but the point again is Bonnie made it through the course.]

You did great, Bonnie!

[The encouragement does brighten her up. Gathering up her energy she twirls up from the ground, spinning about as she returns to a comfortable flutter.]

[She beams happily, the encouragement going to her pom before she realizes she's being rude.]

Oh! Are you here because you're thinking of joining the guild, kupo?

I am. I'm just... still thinking about it.

Kupo. Is this something like something you used to do where you came from? Or maybe it's something completely new, kupo?

[Granted, she's making assumptions that he IS one of the new arrivals, but his interest makes him stand out from the crowd just a little. She'd just say it's her moogle sense, of course.]
