Raise a Glass [OPEN]
Who: The XV Cast and You!
When: June 6th
Where: Curti Center, Jiminy's Juicery (bar)
What: After saving innocents from the Dream Width, some people just need a drink.
Warnings/Notes: Alcohol consumption, possible violence, whatever people do in bars.
Their first foray into the search and rescue business in the Dream Width had been intense, to say the least. Stressful, heartbreaking, exhausting, and enlightening were other words some might use to describe the experience. After a night of rest and a day to somewhat sort things and people out, the next evening brings about a mighty need to head to the local tavern. Some drink to forget, some drink to remember, some drink to relax. There are even representatives of the Bard's Guild providing live music. You can try to make a request, but chances are they don't know your foreign songs.
Maybe you were invited by one of the excitable young men from Lucis, or maybe you came on your own. There's enough room in the bar for quite a few people, so long as they're of age. Sit right at the bar, or pull up chairs around a table, the choice is yours.
[OoC: Make your own toplevel or tag around. Please put content warnings as necessary. Have fun!]

“Only thing I have for hangovers is pain killers. Couldn’t tell you what healers could do for it.” He studies her carefully as he thinks back to the memory she had been in and she had been in his. He sighs. “I’ll back off your case...but let’s have a bit of a talk. I assume you have questions about space and I’d love to talk about space that is actually normal.” Not the Dream Width. It isn’t normal.

When the Moogle flutters off, Castor turns back to Shiro. "Yes an' no, " she says propping her head on her hand, "I got questions ye, but I dunno if ye can answer 'em. All that was jus'. So far past anythin' I know I don' think I'd understand yer answers in the first place."

...
And it might stop her from brooding. "But it's up to you. I won't push."

Benny flutters back then, and drops something faintly pink in front of Castor, and a cup of coffee in front of Shiro.

One he vanishes at the end of. His hand tightens on the mug. He forces it to relax. He can’t change that. The future may happen. It might not. Except he is sure it will happen. What happened after that flash of light? He continues. “Magitek is the closest thing to describing the Lions. They have conscious minds and life of their own. They choose their pilots. There is a lot of meaning to who they choose and why.”
no subject
"...Actually, before that, who's Zarkon? Sounds like a lovely fellow."
no subject
Time to change the subject. "The Red Lion chooses pilots that rely more on instinct than skill alone. It's the fastest and most difficult to master of the lions. ...It's associated with fire."
no subject
Admittedly, the sheer scope of what Shiro was describing was something a little outside of Castor's grasp, but she could mostly follow. And she could most certainly follow a change of subject when one appeared.
"Instinct huh? Seems a solid choice fer me, then. I can't say I'm known fer thinkin things through sometimes. Usually have a friend around te do the thinkin. I think ye saw 'im in the memory. Short, red hair..." she pauses to gesture little cat ears, "big ears, bigger stick."

He'd certainly seen enough decent fighters in the Arena cut down by skilled or master fighters. "The current Red Paladin combines his skills and instincts together in incredible ways...you heard the others call him by his name. It's Keith."
no subject
"Keith huh? Sounds like a guy worth lookin' up to...and I'm guessin' yer team already does."
no subject
Shiro stares down at his cup lost in thought. "I've known him for a long time. I can't think of the team in better hands than his."
