Everyone knows the Heroes of Light by now. They took the world by storm over the last few days (over and over and over the last few days) and with the calamity averted and Bahamut fended off? They needed a vacation. One on a brand new day would be great; the past few became a little too predictable for anyone's taste. The solution? Celebrate a brand new day at a place they're sure to be welcomed and are least likely to be thrown out. A job well done is well and good as a hero's reward, but a person's got bills to pay and feet to get off of now and then, so the ultimate destination place was an obvious one: the Myste Aura hot springs.

The invitation's an open one and Dante's one of the first to arrive, primarily to get the cooking all set up. There's a lot of it to be done, but given the zora's amused smirk through it all, he's having a good time. It's as much for him as it is everyone else. He could only bring enough for cooking and serving, so no vacation gear here! Gotta bring your own or pick some up on the way over. Either way, it's a stress free time that everyone really needed. Oh...and the invitation insists that the heroes bring along their Calm Deity Masks for an unmentioned reason...


THE HOT SPRINGS

Without a doubt, the main attraction of this trip. The hot springs are world renowned for a reason! Take a dip into the waters and see for yourself. The bubbling warmth of the natural waters are more than enough to let weary heroes and travelers alike unwind and let their troubles melt away for a little while. Some people have actually fallen asleep while settled in these, so be careful to keep your head above water!

Waterside refreshments are also available, particularly beverages. Remember: no underage drinking!


FOOD STANDS

There is. A lot of food. Including the shawarma Dante promised! He's got a few volunteers willing to help keep things clean and organized, but a majority of it is self serve with various kinds of cuisine for all kinds of tastes! As thanks for all the shenanigans Bass puts up with, there's a separate food table for moogles and dishes incorporating kupo nuts. Appetizers, entrees, desserts, it's all here. Dante himself is manning the shawarma station and offering anyone who asks a good, hearty slice of cooked Ochu meat. Trust him, guys; it's so good, it doesn't even need a sauce.


LIVE ENTERTAINMENT

The nice thing about being this close to Myste Aura is that the Bard's Guild is nearby. Once word got around that the Heroes of Light were gonna take a vacation in their neck of the woods, a few enthusiastic volunteers were more than ready to perform as a show of thanks for all they've done. Enjoy the concert of songs, some classics, some composed in honor of the heroes themselves. Naturally, there's little to stop anyone who wants to hop on stage and perform themselves. Hell, the bards would be proud to perform alongside a hero of light! Just don't mind the spotlight you'd be under.


COLLECTIBLES

So remember the whole thing about bringing your Calm Deity Masks? Surprise! Everyone who approaches the table of bagged goodies wearing their masks receives one! Each bag has a collection of goodies inside, from toy crystals to even figurines of the heroes themselves! Were you lucky enough to get yourself or your friends? Nothing's stopping you from trading until you get the one(s) you want!

Along with each bag is a free t-shirt. They have several different sizes just in case and all of them bear a familiar logo as a reminder of the great deed the heroes accomplished.

We're all kicking back and relaxing, I'm not gonna tell you what to do. Have fun, go nuts and remember to clean up after yourself.

"Boo," it's not exactly the most terrifying, more of a quiet, even-toned boo. But if Pidge is willing to indulge a gigantic nerd... she may just turn around to find that Ren is standing there, arms half up, with his hands curled into claws. Of course, he has the Calm Diety mask on, too.

"Oooooo OOOOooooOOOO..."

Yes, this seems to be real life.

Pidge halts at the sound of that very impressive boo. Bobble had actually noticed him first but he wasn't quick enough to speak up about it. She does turn to look, because really he's given her no other choice.

When she spots him, she opens her mouth to say something... and promptly closes it again. There are no words. Which is actually quite impressive because she almost always has something to say.

For a minute she just stands there staring.

And then she dissolves into obnoxious, snorty laughter.

For that minute, Ren is unmoving also. Not a peep out of him, until she starts to laugh at least— which is when he'll join in doing the same. Sliding his mask just slightly to the side to his face, he's smiling— glad to have brought laughter to someone that looked as though they might have needed it just a few moments ago.

"Terrifying, right?"

In a way, the mask probably was at least.

It takes her a minute to calm down enough to actually form words because, really, that was probably the most ridiculous thing she'd seen in quite a while. And Lance was one of her best friends.

But the laughter does eventually fizzle out, and Pidge straightens up to look at him.

"Yea, that's absolutely the word I'd use there. Terrifying."

"Right?" he seems satisfied with himself, finally taking off the mask, to look at it again for himself. "Should have worn it when we faced off against Bahamut. Might have taken one look and decided to go back to... where ever Eidolons go," there's a chuckle to back up the mental image he'd just come up with.

Smiling still, Ren tilts his head as he regards Pidge again. "I saw what you did back there by the way, pretty cool." Have a thumbs up, friend. He's referring to your particularly sticky fingers during the battle.

"Right!" Or maybe she's just embellishing a little. Either way, she appreciates the efforts he's willing to go to in an attempt to cheer her up. "Where do Eidolons go when they're not being summoned?" It's not something she's spent much time considering before this point, but now that he's brought it up she can't help feeling curious.

It's the second comment that has her shrugging a little, though. She's still not entirely sure how she managed to swipe that contact right out of Ramaa's eye, but it'll make a pretty great story. "It was pretty cool, huh? I just wish it'd gotten me something more worthwhile."

There's always next time, though...

There's a shrug at her first question. He really had no idea where the Eidolons went to slumber. He just assumed it was along the same lines as the Personas... maybe they were somewhere swimming about in the abyss of his own mind. But, well, that seemed like a conversation for another time.

"Cool and gross," Ren has to add, though he seems pretty tickled about it. "Seems like a pretty great trophy to me, if nothing else." This was coming from the guy with a tribute who tried to keep a token of his outings, however. What might seem cool to him might be mighty weird to others.

"I think you should frame it. Maybe with a plaque in commemoration of a battle hard fought something like... Live Free or Eye Hard."

"Maybe you could try asking one the next time?" Was that even how it worked? Pidge had no idea, and it wasn't something she'd given much thought to before. But now that he'd brought it up, she couldn't help feeling curious.

"I'm probably just gonna go with weird." She'd never actually done something quite like that, so the thought of just being able to snatch something out of a person's eye was a little... well, weird. If nothing else, it'd be an entertaining story for later. "You might be right. It'll probably end up being some kind of collector's item."

Pidge was even on board until he got to the caption, at which point she had to fight the urge to laugh. "You know what? I kind of like that. It's catchy!" And maybe a little ridiculous.

"I'll be sure to choose one of the less grumpy ones, in that case," he adds with a chuckle. Basically what he means by that is 'not Leviathan' but he wasn't entirely convinced any of them would give a straight answer anyway.

At least she seemed a little amused by his dumb jokes.

Continuing along the pathway though, Ren seems to spy something that gives him pause, with a curious, "Hmm? What's that about? Hot wing eating... contest?" his brow raised as he read along.

"Good plan. Grumpfaces are less likely to be forthcoming." But she knew next to nothing about any of the eidolons aside from the fact that the summoners summoned them. So.

For the most part, the dumb jokes just made her think of Lance, so she didn't mind if he kept it up.

Pidge was quiet, but less sulky, as they walked along, at least until the poster caught his eye.

"Sounds like a good time. Gonna enter?"

As he moved to raise his hands, the light seemed to catch in the lenses just right as she asked— followed by an impish "Heheheh—" while he cracked his knuckles.

"I've been training for something just like this, actually..."

In other words, he would definitely be entering. "What do you say, Pidge? Feel like taking on the challenge with me?"
