[Open/mingle] Alexa Play The Completionist's Theme Song

Who: The Heroes of Light
When: Post-time loops
Where: Myste Aura, particularly the hot springs
What: Mingling! Celebrating both a job well done and 100% completion of the game
Warnings/Notes: Hot spring antics, hot wing antics, potentially washtubs

Everyone knows the Heroes of Light by now. They took the world by storm over the last few days (over and over and over the last few days) and with the calamity averted and Bahamut fended off? They needed a vacation. One on a brand new day would be great; the past few became a little too predictable for anyone's taste. The solution? Celebrate a brand new day at a place they're sure to be welcomed and are least likely to be thrown out. A job well done is well and good as a hero's reward, but a person's got bills to pay and feet to get off of now and then, so the ultimate destination place was an obvious one: the Myste Aura hot springs.

The invitation's an open one and Dante's one of the first to arrive, primarily to get the cooking all set up. There's a lot of it to be done, but given the zora's amused smirk through it all, he's having a good time. It's as much for him as it is everyone else. He could only bring enough for cooking and serving, so no vacation gear here! Gotta bring your own or pick some up on the way over. Either way, it's a stress free time that everyone really needed. Oh...and the invitation insists that the heroes bring along their Calm Deity Masks for an unmentioned reason...

THE HOT SPRINGS

Without a doubt, the main attraction of this trip. The hot springs are world renowned for a reason! Take a dip into the waters and see for yourself. The bubbling warmth of the natural waters are more than enough to let weary heroes and travelers alike unwind and let their troubles melt away for a little while. Some people have actually fallen asleep while settled in these, so be careful to keep your head above water!

Waterside refreshments are also available, particularly beverages. Remember: no underage drinking!

FOOD STANDS

There is. A lot of food. Including the shawarma Dante promised! He's got a few volunteers willing to help keep things clean and organized, but a majority of it is self serve with various kinds of cuisine for all kinds of tastes! As thanks for all the shenanigans Bass puts up with, there's a separate food table for moogles and dishes incorporating kupo nuts. Appetizers, entrees, desserts, it's all here. Dante himself is manning the shawarma station and offering anyone who asks a good, hearty slice of cooked Ochu meat. Trust him, guys; it's so good, it doesn't even need a sauce.

LIVE ENTERTAINMENT

The nice thing about being this close to Myste Aura is that the Bard's Guild is nearby. Once word got around that the Heroes of Light were gonna take a vacation in their neck of the woods, a few enthusiastic volunteers were more than ready to perform as a show of thanks for all they've done. Enjoy the concert of songs, some classics, some composed in honor of the heroes themselves. Naturally, there's little to stop anyone who wants to hop on stage and perform themselves. Hell, the bards would be proud to perform alongside a hero of light! Just don't mind the spotlight you'd be under.

COLLECTIBLES

So remember the whole thing about bringing your Calm Deity Masks? Surprise! Everyone who approaches the table of bagged goodies wearing their masks receives one! Each bag has a collection of goodies inside, from toy crystals to even figurines of the heroes themselves! Were you lucky enough to get yourself or your friends? Nothing's stopping you from trading until you get the one(s) you want!

Along with each bag is a free t-shirt. They have several different sizes just in case and all of them bear a familiar logo as a reminder of the great deed the heroes accomplished.

We're all kicking back and relaxing, I'm not gonna tell you what to do. Have fun, go nuts and remember to clean up after yourself.

There are an intense few moments where Plague Knight simply falls completely silent.

Holy shit that's a lot of gil. What the hell is Klonoa doing carrying all that around

Plague Knight glances up at Klonoa, back to the bag, then back at Klonoa again. If it were anyone but his roommate.

"Klonoa, you can't, ehehe, you can't do that to me." he closes the bag, carefully, "If you're serious, maybe when you aren't drunk. I can't take this from you when you're not, ahaha, in full control of your faculties. Absolutely not, never."

"Look... look..." Klonoa says, slurring his words as he pushes the bag towards him again. "You spent soo much money making sure everyone else was ssafe. Its only right, youu desserve it." He says, nodding resolutely before his ears wrap around Plague Knight's shoulders and he clunks his head against his face.

"...whaddayou look like under there anyway... Or is that your face...?"

Plague Knight most definitely hesitates, for a few moments, but slowly nods and takes the bag.

He's most certainly going to ask Klonoa about it again when he's sober, but if the... Cat? Is going to insist.

"What lies beneath this mask, and these robes, Klonoa, is GENIUS! Heeheehee! It's a secret, I haven't been seen in public without the mask on for years!"

"Oh yeah...?" Klonoa says, continuing to lean against him. "You've always seemed real smart, but I never know what you're doing in there.."

He rubs his face again, stifling some snorting giggles.

"The carpet outside your room started turning green though..."

Plague Knight looks over at Klonoa. It's impossible to actually read his expression with that mask of his, perhaps that's the intention! He pats the fantasy cat awkwardly on the head with one hand, "Yes, well, ehee. A very intimidating mechanical man made me promise I wouldn't make explosives in a residential area, hee hee! So mostly, I've just been brewing items for use with my asterisk, you know? No real experiments."

"I never really understood that.." Klonoa mumbles, slurring a little as he waves his hand haphazardly in front of him. "You kept throwing those potions but they were... how did you make them, anyway...? Seemed neat..."

"Oh, well... Ehehe, are you interested in chemistry? In truth, it's mostly the knowledge of the Asterisk, and a good bit of my inclination towards Alchemy." Plague Knight holds a hand up to his chin in thought, "The ones I was throwing out that were healing everybody... They require some very expensive reagents, even brewing them myself, it's hard to offset the cost. I'm glad I didn't have to burn my whole stock, h-hee!"

He gives his roomate a gentle prod, "I think the SCIENCE of it all might be a bit lost, with how drunk you are though, haha!"

Klonoa nods slowly, smiling away. "Hehahh, yeahh... wait, no, I'm fiiine!" He says, wobbling before leaning down and... doing a handstand. "See? I'm great!"

He tilts his head slightly, looking up at Plague Knight. "That's why you should've gotten money! And... uh, how... hard is it to learn anyway.."

Plague Knight shakes his head, and though one can't see his face, there's still the vague impression of amusement coming from him as he looks down at the fantasy cat. Platformer heroes, right?

"Well, realistically it's easy, hee! Just pick up the Chemist asterisk. Let me see..." he taps his chin, "But the brewing process for a Mega-Potion. At least what I use, is a many hours-long process that uses complex reagents like malboro sap and the bottled whispers of an ancient treant, and similarly exotic and difficult to acquire things. At least, the brewing process I devised. As I am hardly a fighter with the asterisks I've chosen here, ehe, they have to be procured at great cost to my wallet."

Klonoa's eyes glaze over. Even more than they were before, even! He slowly wavers, and then falls over, pulling himself, albeit very poorly, to his feet.

"Manya.. Well, you sure saved everyone back there. Thanks a lot. I don't know, it was kind of inspiring, really.. Maybe I'll give it a try!"

"Inspiring? Me? Hehehee! Well, I'd say I'm hardly hero material, but this is the second time this has happened, so who knows, maybe I am?"

He offers the drunk fantasy cat a hand to steady himself, "Chemist is a grand job! Chemistry doesn't compare to Alchemy when it comes to explosives, but we have to take what we can get, heehee!"

Klonoa holds a hand on Plague Knight's shoulder, wobbling his feet in such a way that he kind of steps from one to the other every few moments.

"well.. why don't you make one of those... ones yourself things? The things that... yeah.." Klonoa rubs his face.

"One of those custom things but with... Al chemisry."

"Alchemy!" Plague Knight corrects, seemingly automatically, "Very different from Chemistry. More, ehehe, magical I suppose." he continues to help Klonoa stand steady as much as he can, though given how short he is, it's a bit difficult.

"I've thought about it, of course! A custom asterisk. But it just seems, ehee a little redundant. Truth be told, I expected a bunch of bumbling fools when I heard 'Heroes' of light, but... I don't mind playing support with this Chemist asterisk so much. It's effective! And it's not like I can't blow stuff up if I want to with it."

Klonoa thinks, leaning against Plague Knight again. That alcohol is really not leaving his system anytime soon. He weights like not even 80 pounds, this is not a good combination.

"Ohh, I see... Do you think that, maybe.. someone like me could pick it up...?"

"Pick up the Chemist asterisk? Absolutely! Why not? Hee! It's an asterisk like any of the others, some knowledge helps, but I'm sure you could learn." Plague Knight pats Klonoa. "I suggest you give it a shot! What do you stand to lose? If you want to go into the sciences, go for it!"

Klonoa looks down, somewhat awkwardly. "I've never really... got that kind of thing before, though. I mean, with the white magic I just... think of what Lolo would do and it always seems easier..."

The alchemist tilts his head to one side, "Lolo? er. Well. It's not that hard! At least, not if you're willing to study! The hard part is, if you ask me, in actually making the items. Using them isn't so complicated!"

Klonoa nods slowly, blinking his eyes in such a way as they seem almost asymmetrical.

"Yeah, my friend, Lolo... oh, well, um.. hm." Klonoa frowns, just folding his arms. After an extended period of time, he slowly gives a nod.

"I've seeen your setup through the open door sometimes... it looks really complicated. I'm not sure if I could really make them...!"

Plague Knight lets out a soft, "Hee!" and shakes his head, "The beauty of it, Klonoa,is that chemistry is a science! You may not understand it at first, but the results can be replicated perfectly each time, once you know what you're doing. You could learn!"

Klonoa awkwardly shifts on his feet, finally deciding that he needs to sit down in one of the chairs nearby as his shirt falls off one of his ears.

"It still seems pretty hard, but if you really think I could do it..."

Those potions just seem so useful when combined.. actually wait a moment.

"Wait, isn't it... dangerous or something to mix things together like that...?"

"But of course! Heehee! The volatility is half the fun, Klonoa! Though Chemistry seems to be less, haha, explosive! Than alchemy. A shame, really!" Plague Knight moves to sit down beside Klonoa, pulling a potion bottle with a bendy straw in it from out of his robes and taking a drink.

"Nothing like finding a good, powerful mix, tossing it at your foes or uppity employees, then boom! Hahaha!"

"Al... alright. I'll stop by the.. chemist place in a few days, I guess." Klonoa says. He's... been looking a little more ragged over the last few minutes. Something about the terrifying danger of what Plague Knight has been doing in the next room has been somewhat sobering, and it isn't a good look on him.

"Thanks for.. telling me about all this and stuff. Scuse me.. I'm..." He says, taking a few steps away, wobbling more before bending over and... vomiting all over the floor.

"Rupu..."

To be fair, Plague Knight *did* say that he's not been making any explosives at home. Something about an intimidating robot man.

He just sort of... Looks at Klonoa for a few moments after the fantasy cat vomits all over the ground, and then produces an Antidote from his robes, using it on him.

"Klonoa!" he says, "You really should have accepted that antidote before, just how much did you drink?"

"...Fffive... six...?" He mumbles, staying hunched over. The antidote seems to help, at least, but he's still leaning down, possibly out of embarrassment. "They looked so small though..."

Plague Knight shakes his head a bit, "Lightweight! Hee, I suppose that makes sense. I'm guessing you don't drink much in general. Do you need another Antidote?"
