Everyone knows the Heroes of Light by now. They took the world by storm over the last few days (over and over and over the last few days) and with the calamity averted and Bahamut fended off? They needed a vacation. One on a brand new day would be great; the past few became a little too predictable for anyone's taste. The solution? Celebrate a brand new day at a place they're sure to be welcomed and are least likely to be thrown out. A job well done is well and good as a hero's reward, but a person's got bills to pay and feet to get off of now and then, so the ultimate destination place was an obvious one: the Myste Aura hot springs.

The invitation's an open one and Dante's one of the first to arrive, primarily to get the cooking all set up. There's a lot of it to be done, but given the zora's amused smirk through it all, he's having a good time. It's as much for him as it is everyone else. He could only bring enough for cooking and serving, so no vacation gear here! Gotta bring your own or pick some up on the way over. Either way, it's a stress free time that everyone really needed. Oh...and the invitation insists that the heroes bring along their Calm Deity Masks for an unmentioned reason...


THE HOT SPRINGS

Without a doubt, the main attraction of this trip. The hot springs are world renowned for a reason! Take a dip into the waters and see for yourself. The bubbling warmth of the natural waters are more than enough to let weary heroes and travelers alike unwind and let their troubles melt away for a little while. Some people have actually fallen asleep while settled in these, so be careful to keep your head above water!

Waterside refreshments are also available, particularly beverages. Remember: no underage drinking!


FOOD STANDS

There is. A lot of food. Including the shawarma Dante promised! He's got a few volunteers willing to help keep things clean and organized, but a majority of it is self serve with various kinds of cuisine for all kinds of tastes! As thanks for all the shenanigans Bass puts up with, there's a separate food table for moogles and dishes incorporating kupo nuts. Appetizers, entrees, desserts, it's all here. Dante himself is manning the shawarma station and offering anyone who asks a good, hearty slice of cooked Ochu meat. Trust him, guys; it's so good, it doesn't even need a sauce.


LIVE ENTERTAINMENT

The nice thing about being this close to Myste Aura is that the Bard's Guild is nearby. Once word got around that the Heroes of Light were gonna take a vacation in their neck of the woods, a few enthusiastic volunteers were more than ready to perform as a show of thanks for all they've done. Enjoy the concert of songs, some classics, some composed in honor of the heroes themselves. Naturally, there's little to stop anyone who wants to hop on stage and perform themselves. Hell, the bards would be proud to perform alongside a hero of light! Just don't mind the spotlight you'd be under.


COLLECTIBLES

So remember the whole thing about bringing your Calm Deity Masks? Surprise! Everyone who approaches the table of bagged goodies wearing their masks receives one! Each bag has a collection of goodies inside, from toy crystals to even figurines of the heroes themselves! Were you lucky enough to get yourself or your friends? Nothing's stopping you from trading until you get the one(s) you want!

Along with each bag is a free t-shirt. They have several different sizes just in case and all of them bear a familiar logo as a reminder of the great deed the heroes accomplished.

We're all kicking back and relaxing, I'm not gonna tell you what to do. Have fun, go nuts and remember to clean up after yourself.

Corrin takes the cup from Maddie, though despite her newfound sense of adventurism she still can't help but use he free arm to slightly cover herself as she takes the cup. Her blush gets a little more intense when Maddie proposes the toast to "taking a load off and deciding 'what the hell'", though she raises the cup (and drops the arm). "Hear, hear!" She says, before settling back down and taking a drink. "Mm, that's quite good. Thank you, Maddie." Better be careful with this stuff though or Maddie might just get to hear about that bath story and more besides. "There's a drink like this back in my world, or something similar to it, I think." During Hinoka's coronation she'd tasted the drink during the celebrations. What had they called it...?

Resting her free arm along the rim of the spring, already starting to feel more relaxed. "It's good to see you, Maddie. How're you holding up?" She asks.

"A recommendation from a Warrior of Light who found her way home." Baiken, you really knew your drink. This was delicious. She poured herself her next cup and helped herself.

"Perhaps you had sake back in your world? It's made from rice, thus the sweeter flavor."

Sweet tooth or no, it was the perfect accompaniment. With the question, she smiled. "As well as I can be, I suppose. Folks are alive, we'll finally wake up to an approaching weekend for goodness sakes, and... goodness, it'll be a while before I go back to work and life as per the usual. You? You had it far more rough than I, you poor thing."

"Sake! Yes, that was it." Corrin nods in remembrance. "It's not a local drink, but I had occasion to try it during some celebrations in Hoshido not long before I came here. Our departed fellow Hero has excellent taste." Whether or not they were here now or not, they were still a Hero of Light in Corrin's eyes.

"I'm glad to hear it. I'm taking an extended break too, starting with the sleep-over Nozomi and I have planned for after this party." Corrin nods. The hot springs are definitely going to help her relax and sleep once that little party happens. When Maddie points out Corrin's difficulty during the battle, she hesitates for a moment, but then nods. "It wasn't pleasant no, but I'm glad I didn't get in the way. Anyway, I'm trying not to focus on that too much; we stopped Bahamut and it all worked out in the end, but...I hate that Ramaa escaped, though. Balahaka too, from what I hear." Yet her tone is conflicted about the former Empress. "...She needs help and I'd still give it to her, despite what she did to me and the others, if she asked." Certainly her actions were horrible and she needed to face an appropriate punishment for them, but at the same time...would any of them be any different if they'd gone through everything she had? In a way, Ramaa is victim too, of forces beyond her control.

She finishes her cup and then reaches for the pitcher to pour herself another cup; she won't trouble Maddie for it. "But we can worry about that later; I doubt Ramaa or Balahaka are going to come up for air any time soon now that they're the two most wanted fugitives in Vaikuntha." She says as she pours. "We've got time to catch our breath."

"You've got it in one," she agreed.

"We have faces, and considering the sheer amount of footage some of the moogles took during the battle, they won't have the means to hide in plain sight while licking their wounds. It's my hope that she learned something."

She drank. Paused. "Though I think it may be best to keep an eye on Ser Finn and Sephiroth. The dark asterisk the Cloud gave us did aid us in a fashion, but it was something Ramaa could use too, was it not? I feel nothing good can come from embracing it."

Corrin nods. "I hope so. It sounded like the others got through to her, just a little before she vanished." Of course, running doesn't exactly help her case. "I doubt we'll have any such luck with Balahaka, though. I can't say I've ever met him personally, but his MogNet logs with Ramaa were pretty illuminating." She doesn't pretend to understand much of the events on Crystallis, of Balahaka's past life there, but what she does know paints him as dangerous. "When he re-appears, things are going to get ugly, fast. We'll need to be ready."

She's silent for a moment when Maddie talks about Finn and Sephiroth. She doesn't know Sephiroth all that well, except that he's unusually intense, but Finn using the same Calamity-given power is troubling. "Power like that always comes with a cost." Corrin says finally. "Finn's a friend though; maybe if we were to talk to him about it, we might be able to convince him to give it up. I don't like the idea that it could corrupt him somehow." Who is Sephiroth friends with, thoiugh? Does he even have any? She remembers vaguely seeing him talk to that horn-headed man with the red and black skin in the square before the Zodiark expedition, but...come to think of it, he was a no-show as well, wasn't he? On the first loop and the last. Something about that is vaguely disquieting to her as well.

Madhuri sighed, troubled. "Finn is quite sweet, and I want nothing to happen to him either. But I can't get over the troubling feeling that comes with the thought of using that asterisk. It's not of Ganeshan's make and the color... it drained from his sweet face."

She leaned back and was lost in thought for a moment.

"But you're right about needing to be ready. I need to figure out my own asterisk matters. There's a job that seems to be made for me in the most terrible of respects. So, of course, I'm going to go for it and see if I can't put a costume together."

"Ramaa was working with the entity that gave us that asterisk. Or at the very least she was making use of it. We can't trust the power it gives us." Corrin shakes her head. "...We'll have to confront this issue sooner rather than later, I think." The idea of something happening to corrupt Finn of all people troubled her greatly. And there must be others who still have Calamity Knight besides just those two.

But then the conversation moves onto lighter topics, and Corrin is happy to let it do so. No one's going to be powering up Calamity Knight during this celebration, after all. "What asterisk?" She enquires. "If you need help with a costume for it, I'm not bad with a needle and thread myself, I might be able to help you. If you'd like, that is."

If they needed some fabric for a costume, then there was good news floating past-- a pair of white-and-light-blue striped trunks, drifting unworn and unattended, lazily drifting over to them on the simmering surface of the springs.

How curious.

Yes, they had to look into it sooner rather than later. Perhaps a gentle talk with Finn would be best for something sooner before any further discussion of Calamity Knight matters. As for Sephiroth... well, that man straight up puts ice in her blood. She'll have to have a battle plan before speaking with that one.

"Oh, are you ready to be completely unsurprised? Jester. It's delightfully chaotic!" The guild looked to be fun to boot, so punny and so devi-

... Blink.

She grabbed the floating trunks. Madhuri turned them over and over. "Uh oh. Somebody's having a dress code malfunction."

Then, she balled them up and placed them under her feet to keep them hidden.

"I won't deny this mystery gentleman a chance to feel a bit... freer. It's a celebration, after all."

Finn shouldn't be too hard to have a discussion with; after all, he and Corrin shared a meal after all their training sessions while she helped him learn how to use his lightsaber. A friendly chat from a concerned friend seems like the right way to play this. Sephiroth though...that's trickier.

Corrin leans forward interested. "Jester, huh? That's a good fit for you, Maddie!" Chaos and bright colours do seem to match well with her. "Come to think of it, I spent a long afternoon at the Jester's Guild a few months back during that murder investigation. I got a pretty good look at some of the-"

Oh that's weird it's a pair of swim trunks...

A pair of men's swimtrunks.

As Maddie takes the liberty of hiding them, Corrin begins, somewhat frantically now that a currently unknown and likewise undressed male is in the area reaching for her discarded towel. Being naked around someone like Maddie is one thing, but she's so not ready for this it's not there

It's a few seconds more before Red awkwardly hobbles onto the scene; for someone who was so quick to move in his aquatic sport of choice, he sure seemed to struggle moving smoothly now. But maybe it had something to do with how he had to rather conspicuously keep the water at above waste-height.

"... either of you two seen a set of swim trunks around here?"

It seems his attention wasn't on their goods; he was so busy trying to glimpse some semblance of white and blue through the water's simmering, he had no eye to turn toward the skin that was hidden just below its surface.

"Swim trunks? No, nothing here... why is that?" Her eyes trailed to the surface of the water.

Red had moved dreadfully quickly to get in, but she wondered if he'd become so bold as to use this as an excuse to come seek out a little... action.

Corrin is still searching for her towel (WHERE DID IT GO) when she hears Red speaking, and her reaction is instantaneous; wrapping her arms around her upper body, and under the water, quickly folding one leg over the over to better try and hide certain...vulnerable areas.

"R-Red!" Her face is beet red and she's got a real deer-in-headlights look; she's too shocked and embarrassed to be able to even properly vocalize that Maddie has the trunks. She doesn't think this is a ploy of any kind-she knows Red too well to think he'd try something so lewd, and he's still pining for a certain lost lavender-haired pop idol anyway-but her shock and embarrassment are currently overriding her ability to think sensibly about things.

"--Corrin?!"

As his head lifted, it wasn't so much a shocked response to her presence as it was the all-too-sudden realization of her current state. And his immediate attempt to jerk his wide-eyed gaze from Corrin's... significant mass instead left his eyes pointed towards Madhuri, who was- unsurprisingly- in no more modest of a state herself.

With a frantic sputter and a wrenching, full-body twist to avert his gaze, he toppled over into the steaming springs, and was only subject to a moment's immodesty before he splashed under the surface...

...only to emerge above the neck with his paw pointedly covering his eyes.

"WHY DIDN'T YOU SAY YOU TWO WERE INDECENT"

Madhuri, in the midst of the splashing and sputtering, drained her cup of another helping of sake.

"Red, darling..."

And poured another cup.

"When, in any day of our life here in Vaikuntha, have I ever declared I was decent?"

Corrin sees Red start to go over and only too late realizes what's about to happen; she averts her eyes, suddenly looking up at the sky, but when Red comes back up under the water and she lowers her head, there's an extra bit of redness to her already scarlet cheeks. Sorry, Red.

"W-W-WE WERE BATHING!" She yells in response to Red's question about the two women's indecency, still panicking as though that answers that. "AND I CAN'T FIND MY TOWEL!" And now she can't try to look for it without risk of...exposure.

The ONE time she decides to try public nudity this happens!

"WELL, FIND IT!!"

He starts fumbling around with his hand as he moves through the water- as if he was trying to search for his trunks, the towel, or any sort of solution to this problem- but mostly just ends up repeatedly slapping the surface of the water.

Because he was not going to risk actually attempting to stand up and walk out of here now.

"OR-- SOMETHING YOU CAN USE! OR I CAN USE!"

"Oh, Corrin dear! Here, this should help you. No need to have Ser Red peeking on something he need not be concerned with."

She bent down, and fetched the balled-up shorts. These are what she handed to the other woman.

The reaction is instinctual, as soon as Maddie offers the rolled up trunks, Corrin is quick to take them, her arm snaking out and grabbing them. Before she can even register what she's doing or what Maddie actually handed her, the trunks are quickly unballed and...used to cover herself.

She starts to breathe a sigh of relief at having SOME coverings now...but then her mind catches up to her reactions. "O-Oh my gods, Red! I-I'm sorry, I wasn't even think-oh gods, here you go!" In a flash she's pulled the trunks off her, tossed them at Red's general direction. Thankfully his paw is covering his eyes or he might have just gotten a very momentary flash of...things as she tosses the trunks towards him.

"You wh--"

He was cut off by the wet slap of swim trunks being applied to his snout. At this point, it was a welcome interruption, and he hastily half-hobbled his way through the water until he'd managed to get both his legs through it.

Once it was finally tied on- and a little bit more securely this time, thankyouverymuch- it was back to facing the two--

TURNING AWAY FROM the two lovely ladies in the springs.





"...Uh... I'll... get you a towel. Least I can do."

And he was off, with all the grace and explosive expedience of a professional blitzball player.
