[Frisk makes a face, trying to put what they're feeling into words.]

"Feels like it should've been my moment. It's what I do. Time travel. But when it happened I just... didn't. Helped a little but mostly just. Goofed off."

[Aww, Frisk. Papyrus pats them on the head.]

BUT IT'S GOOD TO LET LOOSE AND HAVE FUN! AND BESIDES, I'M SURE THERE WILL BE PLENTY OF FUTURE OPPORTUNITIES TO DO COOL AND APPROPRIATELY FRISK-LIKE THINGS!

"But time travel's my thing, when am I gonna get another chance do to time travel?"

[Okay, that might've gotten a little too whiny. They're not that upset about it, mostly thoughtful. Speaking of which, they pull their face together to stare contemplatively into the sky.]

"Lotta introspection, though. Some real personal growth."

YOU COULD ALWAYS LOOK INTO THE TIME MAGE ASTERISK! OR PERHAPS A CUSTOM JOB CATERED TO EPIC TIME SHENANIGANS?

[That would actually be super neat, if one could differentiate it from Time Mage. Oh, the wheels in his skull are turning already at the possibilities!]

AH, BUT GROWTH IS GOOD. ...SPEAKING OF WHICH, ARE YOU FEELING OKAY?

[After that trip to the Dream Width, one can't help but wonder.]

[Frisk's mind stutters out for a moment at the suggestion, and they have to mentally check that they're remembering the names of their jobs correctly, because...]

"...I've got Time Mage. 'N it's cool, but like. I think full-on time travel's a lil OP for asterisks. 'nd 's fine, really, just being dramatic."

[They have to pause when Papyrus asks his question. They try to hide it behind another long drink of their juice, but their shoulders tense a little and their eyes migrate firmly to the ground.]

"...Lil better. Cleared the air with Other Frisk, 'least."

[Oh dear. That tension's impossible to miss, though it gives Papyrus pause. He looks them over, scratching his cheekbone. Hmm, what to say...]

"AH. THAT'S GREAT TO HEAR!!! THAT WHOLE DEBACLE WAS SUCH A MESS, BUT IF YOU ASK ME, WE SHOULDN'T LET IT HANG OVER OUR HEADS. AFTER ALL, IT'S ALL IN THE PAST!!!"

[Frisk huffs a small laugh. Always a ray of sunshine, Papyrus. You're too good for this world. Frisk can't help but put a smile back on and let their shoulders drop.]

"Yeah, can't mope forever. Just gotta keep doin' better!"

YES!!! AND THIS IS WHY WE WILL TRIUMPH SO TRIUMPHANTLY THAT WE'LL REDEFINE THE VERY DEFINITION OF TRIUMPH!!!

[Is this redundant? Probably. Does he care? No. He's got his chin up, finger pointed toward the ceiling.]
