But he had to try, even as Adrien retaliated, catching some of the brunt of his attacks with his shield- but he was still bleeding.
It'd been a while since he'd fought as a Templar, but it was time to use something new. A corona of white magic suffused the area, the [Eidolons' Will] defending the Heroes of Light from harm. "Adrien, lad, whatever she's done t'you, it's only temporary. There's a job to do, and after you worked yourself half to death to save Arito, d'you really think you could just let all those people die again, for no godsdamned reason?!"

It seemed Ren was on the same page of Naoto, with Ifrit's fire fading away it now seemed to feel cold. Unusually cold... of course, helped along with the Full Summoning the detective had just called upon. The healing seemed to be under control, so what better time than now to follow that attack up with a little more power, for good measure?

He traced a sigil in the air, calling forth the partial form of the ice Eidolon, aiming for the empress this time, not at all liking the magic she seemed to be casting... "There!"

Klonoa yelps as he's slashed from behind, staggering from the surprise hit to see Adrien cutting through everyone.

"Adrien.." He chokes out, pulling himself to his feet again as he looks over--his friend. His friend that just attacked him, with no sign of holding back.

Klonoa shakes his head. No. It doesn't matter that the pain still stings. He's been through this before. Huepow had a good reason, and with a glance at Ramaa, Klonoa starts to put the pieces together what Adrien's could be--must be.

"Adrien!" He calls out, tearing after the fleeing ninja and running alongside him as he continues to deliver counterblows. "Stop hitting us, we're you're friends!" He grits his teeth, and flicks the Wind Ring up to fire a Wind Bullet at his friend--if he could just get him to be still for a second, maybe they could get his head back on straight!

Kenichi couldn't help but look over his shoulder, trying to keep track of where everyone was. It was then he saw Reno aim after Ramaa. Of course. Why not go for the source of what's controlling the others?

"Let's go, Kohaku!" Kenichi dug his heels into the chocobo's side. The duo charged forward, aiming at Ramaa. Kenichi's spear was now ready to pierce its target.

Much like Adrien had zipped around to counter-attack those who had dealt damage to an ally, Sephiroth's Eye for an Eye sees him first lay into Bahamut-egi, then dash to both Kuja then Corrin in turn, each time the powerful sword combo is unleashed before he ends up back facing Adrien and mercilessly dealing the same punishment. He has to admit, being the first time that Sephiroth has had the chance to really open up in such a multi-targetted battle, the lack of control of the skill is perturbing but the power of the skill employed couldn't be denied. It made up for the miss of his Shooting Star.

As the last sword combo finishes, Sephiroth hears a voice yelled in his direction just in time for a quick glance to spot Reno charging directly for Ramaa. Yet that momentary distraction counts, and doesn't give any time to prepare for Adrien's next maneuver; thankfully Enhanced Counter expires then as the immediate weak sword combo is replied to Eclipse. Sephiroth uses the end of the auto-attack then to dodge back and then an additional step, taking what time he can to re-assess the overall situation of the battle.

Time to stop wasting time with the underlings.

He'd never admit that Reno was right, of course, but Sephiroth then turns his attention from Adrien and breaks also into a sprint for Ramaa; though not before putting another skill up. It's not his style at all, countering damage to so-called 'allies' but it keeps his damage going out to any other target in the meantime.

Sephiroth opens in attack towards Ramaa as soon as he's in range.

Once more, Ramaa doesn't flinch and doesn't use any skills. Time Compression fails to remove the corrupted status; it does however have the benefit of fully curing him and removing all debuffs off him. Whether the attempts at talking to Kuja work however is another matter entirely.

In the meantime, as the third Melody is being used, the Heroes of Light will hear a distant crackling, similar to what they heard during the very first loop. As time travel was used to undo the end of the world and things remain very unstable due to Bahamut's presence, using more than six or seven Melodies total could be very dangerous. Because this is the final loop and there will be no more loop following this one, it could theoretically result in a game-wide game over.

Frisk is on the verge of dying. They are at extreme risk of dying next turn.
Tyzias's Health is very low. She is at risk of dying next turn.
Red's health is halfway down. There is a low risk of dying next turn.
Castor, Serge, Okuyasu, Bowser, S'reee, Naomi, Matilda, Kid, Sephiroth and Vimes have lost some health, but should be fine with Melodies of Life and an AOE heal.

All hell had broken loose.

Ramaa had appeared. Another Bahamut had come along with her. Kuja, Corrin, and Adrien had been corrupted.

She decided to go for another speech.

"EVERYONE! STAY FOCUSED! STAY DETERMINED! WE WILL DO THIS!"

She cast [Spirit Surge] ready to get the [Jump] on Bahamut-Egi next turn.

Madhuri's stage presence was downright infectious, and Uendo found himself more confident that ever, despite everything. This was what he was made for. Empowering others, easing their burdens with his voice. It felt right.

Struck with inspiration, he changed tracks with his shamisen, working in the notes of Boss Theme even as he kept singing Aria of Narayana. The songs merged seamlessly, working together with Madhuri's, ringing out loud and clear across the battlefield and giving the Heroes of Light even more strength.

Driven by music, driven by frustration, he didn't see the need to let up at all. Even cleansed of berserk, he still had a few tricks up his sleeve. As far as he was concerned, the face of Ramaa and the rotten flesh of Izanami-no-Okami blended together. He would hold that thought, and let it empower him.

He swung with the blunt of his greatsword with a roar.

Everyone else was rushing in to stop Ramaa and her dragon before they killed them all, and Minimus had to ensure they would live long enough to see through that. He ran forward, getting close to Bahamut and serve as a shield to others while he called upon the Eidolon's Will to grant protection.

Then Frisk embraces him in midair, and his face contorts. Frisk. Asriel. Snow. Something… something important-

“Frisk…” The violet fades, that horrible pit of misery in his gut dissipating with it- and, dimly, he realizes that he’s hovering in midair with a child clinging to him. One arm wraps around Frisk for support, and he looks up- allies bleeding, dying, his fault, his hands that did it- no, not his. Hers. Not allies, either- Brahne had been an ally, the Black Mages had been allies, tools used to achieve his ends and discarded as soon as he was done with them-

Not just allies. Friends.

Kuja turns, sets Frisk on the stunned and recovering Opalescence. And then he turns, as the sky explodes around him, orange and black and blue and white and crimson as fury, righteous and terrible and his and there was no way she was going to touch anyone ever again..

”No more worlds destroyed. No more death.” Spells twist into blades in his hands, perfectly matched, Holy and Flare. ”Somebody Haste me. I’m going to enjoy this.” He descends, then, like a meteor, thrusting blades forward into as much of Ramaa as he can manage.

Ena was disappointed when she saw how easily her Dispel spell rolled off Corrin. She wasn't strong enough. But she couldn't dwell on it forever - they didn't have much time, and she needed to act.

So she turns her attention to Ramaa herself. Amidst all the other spells, she decides to throw one of her own in there. Too bad her more powerful one would only injure their compatriots, so she had to resort to using a more controlled Magic Missile. She sends three of the orbs to collide with Ramaa, and two to collide with Bahamut-Egi.

His Robuddy had switched to Assist mode amidst the skirmish, and provides a small heal to Papyrus in light of the recent attack.

Can construct a robotic assistant. In Assist Mode, this assistant can cast a weak heal on Papyrus or Taunt the enemy into attacking it for one round. In Attack Mode, this assistant becomes a slow moving mobile turret capable of firing magic bone projectiles at a target designated by Papyrus. Only one mode can be active at a time. Weak to electrical magic, and when damaged take a day to repair. Destroyed may take up to a week to reconstruct.

But he won't settle for just letting his robot do all the work. With Ramaa still standing and her presence most ominous, Papyrus opts for a simple approach this turn. He unleashes his Bone Mastery, letting loose a violent barrage of magic bones at full potency. One is even riding a skateboard.

Others spell "FRISK IS THE COOLEST HUMAN AND YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELF". Is it silly? Yes. Is it powerful? Very yes. This is what happens when you mess with Papyrus' human.

Nonelemental, bone-themed magic attack that grows in potency with experience, starting from a base level magic spell in power to the equivalent of a 'ga spell at 1000 EXP. The hit on Okuyasu hadn't been bad, thank goodness, but he couldn't worry about healing right now. Ramaa was... acting strange as if their attacks were doing nothing. He hated it.

The Bahamut-Egi, though, was a more immediate problem. They couldn't let it fire off another attack. With Madhuri's Inspiring Presence at his back, Finn tried to fire off another Hell Judgement with the Eidolon as his primary target.

Hot Wings engulfs Sephiroth, flaring hot enough to blot out all else for the moment that the severe damage was taken on. He could feel his entire form recoil from the damage, leaving him smoking a little, stinging his eyes and the bared-skin parts of his outfit in its aftermath. Feeding the power that would become his Melody if pushed to the very brink, Sephiroth steeled his resolve against it, gritting teeth sternly and refocusing on the target before him.

The crackling noise he recognizes immediately, having been to this point so many times. The beginnings of the reality of Vaikuntha breaking apart. It can't be allowed to happen, this time. Yet, it doesn't seem that Ramaa's reacting to any of their abundance of attacks, at all.

He must keep pushing, his existence depends on it. It's time to hit with the most damaging technique that he knows; at the very least he should get some needed health points back with it.

Corrin merely sneers at Serge's admission of being "just" a fisherman's son and his denial that she is truly Corrin; of course she is Corrin! She is more herself than she has ever been, since she has accepted the truth of who she is, has always been. She is meant to destroy and conquer, to rule and dominate all lesser beings. That is who her father shaped her to be, and she has fought against it for too long. She is about to dismiss him for the ignorant, foolish peasant he truly is-

-and then he offers her his hand, and exhorts Kid to help him in attacking Ramaa; no, in helping them.

It cuts through the Corruption like a hot knife through butter; to the very core of who Corrin truly is. For a moment the realization is there, clear as day, the purple fading from her eyes as her expression once again softens.

She is not her father, and her friends need her.

Her hand shoots out almost instinctively and takes Serge's. "Right. Let's do it!" She declares, joining in as Kid does the same, the three joining together for the combined attack on the Empress. "I am not your puppet, Ramaa!" She declares.

As the attack finishes, Corrin is breathing heavily, but she still seems to be herself. As she turns to give Serge and Kid a weak, reassuring smile, however her eyes widen in shock. Standing behind them is a figure wrapped in purple shadows, featureless save for the two red glowing eyes. But the outline is unmistakable, as is the voice suddenly in her head. If Serge and Kid look behind them, they see nothing.

Foolish girl! Still you fight it? The voice of King Garon roars in her mind, causing Corrin to grasp her head in pain as her eyes begin to flash between red and purple, the Corruption mounting one last desperate defense to keep her in its thrall. You are what I made you to be and nothing more! You cause death and suffering where you go! You kill and destroy because that is what I made you to be! These insects stand in the way of your conquest just as I did and yet now you hesitate? Strike them down as you struck me down, without hesitation or regret!

"Father...no!" Corrin gasps in a panic. "I'm...not...you! Please, Gods, I don't want to be you! Stop it, I'm begging you!"

Garon's roar fills her head now. You are a conqueror! You spoke those words yourself. You know they were not lies! Accept the truth of yourself, my daughter and fulfill your purpose! KILL THEM ALL!

"Months!" Plague Knight says, as the damage continues to roll in everywhere, as the Heroes of Light continue to take powerful blow after powerful blow, "I've been saving my gil and items for months, stocking up, eh... Ehehee! Months of savings, down the drain! You all..."

Again, another vial is thrown up into the air, and a second hurtled towards it with exacting precision, one impacting with the other in mid-air.

Tyzias is like a leaf on the wind. She flies through Adrien's strikes, batting one after another after another away, not a centimeter of movement wasted, but-- still. It isn't enough. Several of the blows snake through Tyzias's guard, scoring deep gashes across her body.

She grunts, stumbling back right into Corrin's Shadow Yato, the blade shoved directly into her guts. Thankfully, trolls have several auxiliary nervous organ systems--evolving on a death planet has some advantages--but it still hurts like fuck. What happens next is undoubtedly worse, however.

Tyzias hangs there, stunned for a moment, on the end of Corrin's sword. Some may mistake her for dead for how little she moves. Eyes glassy, face shadowed... but, after several seconds of tension, she slides herself off of the blade, still refusing to look at Corrin.

"You're right," she rasps, hoarse.

"I am a fuckin' coward.

"Always have been. Always will be.

"I could've done something. Anything.

"But nah.

"I hid away in my room, pretending that all the reading and studying and shit I was doing was anything other than an excuse to make myself sleep at day.

"...

"Cowards have a fuckin' purpose, though, bulgekelp.

"We're the ones who stay behind, quivering in our boots, and doing all the math and all the work so that when the real fighters come back they have something to come back to.

"That's what I was doing all those sweeps. I couldn't make the injustice stop--I'm not a leader or a mutant or what the fuck ever--but I could make shit easier for the people who did have the capability down the line. Give them a foothold, a weapon. Start chipping away at the foundations.

"Yeah, I never fought on the frontlines. Yeah, I'm a coward. At least by Alternia's standards.

"...but asterisks are a hell of a thing, aren't they? Sure wasn't this great of a fighter before I came here, despite all my 'inherently violent troll instincts.'

"You know, I've been meaning to give those a whirl." Tyzias turns around, and her smile is downright savage. Something you would expect off of a madman, not a law student. In a flash, she's... she's slapping Corrin with her fingerless glove. "Duel me, asswipe. If I'm such a coward, I should be easy to kill, right? You heinous, genocidal bitch." She chugs down a hi-potion as she puts her glove back on, healing herself, closing more of her wounds. "The rest of you, back the fuck off. She's mine."

This wasn't working, that much was obvious. They could try and deal with Adrien later- right now, they needed to deal with the Queen. "Sorry," came the apology to... the girl fighting against him. Vimes didn't know her, but he could see when she was having more success. "I think I'm making things worse, and if we don't take care of Ramaa we're all gonna be in trouble."

He turned, fixed his gaze on Ramaa, and dimly he remembered, an eternity ago.

Things are charging up and it's making Dante pretty anxious, honestly. Lots of fighting, lots of healing, it's honestly getting hard to keep track of it all. Fortunately, there's a lot of healing going on, so he can take other actions to help around. Job Lore lets him make a quick shift over to Time Mage, where he's focusing his magic on Asriel.
