Red couldn't give anything more than a nod to that. He could already see some trashy tabloid with a headline talking about a woman marrying the world's most dangerous--

He blinked. "...Is he actually as strong as a hamster, too??"

There was some thinking to do here. Her husband was turned into a hamster, but unlike a hamster, he could talk. He wasn't entirely hamster, but also not entirely human. They never asked him if he fought any monsters.

"I dunno." That was the only conclusion he could reach. "...But if they're in love, he'd try not to accidentally kill her if he pushed her, right?"

"What kinda question is that?! He's not a normal-- vicious, bloodthirsty hamster! Of course he's gonna hold back!"

He rubbed the scruffy fur on his chin in contemplation. "Y'think he can talk to other hamsters?"

[righthandstand]

"He might not realize just how strong he is! It's like--he could poke her to get her attention, but he accidentally stabs her without thinking!" Okuyasu grabs his head to calm the theoretical situations stressing him out. Begone, thoughts!

"And...like, don't hamsters have a different language? Can you talk to dogs?"

"...Okay, okay, I get your point."

If this conversation was anything to go by, he was at least better at it than Okuyasu. Though he was amazed it took this long for someone to ask him that.

"You're built like a side of beef, how often do you break stuff by accident?"

[righthandstand]

"Every week, probably." If the hamster groom was as much of an idiot as himself, Okuyasu feared for the bride's safety. He hoped that most people were better at controlling themselves than an idiot high schooler.

"When I don't pay attention, I sometimes crack dishes when I wash 'em. And then I get all bruised up from runnin' into danger. It ain't too fun."

"Seriously?! Don't you make those little... pins and knick-knacks I sometimes see you sellin'?!

How do you manage that if you're breakin' your own dishes half the time?!"

[righthandstand]

"Uh...a fluke?" He never really thought of how that made sense. He was good with making small things, but he was painfully aware of each time he hurt himself out of his own stupidity. Every instance was a reminder of how far behind he was compared to his friends.

"I dunno. I'm like that, I guess."

Well, there was that saying about broken clocks being right twice a day. And incidentally, Red was sure Okuyasu probably broke his fair share of clocks.

"Okay, but have you ever hurt a person by trying to hug them?"

[righthandstand]

"No."

A pause. Did he accidentally squeeze too hard and he didn't notice?

"Don't think I could."

"Then I wouldn't worry about our hamster groom, either.

Or the bride. You do not mess around with someone who walks around with a hamster."

[righthandstand]

He looks at the bride. She doesn't seem too strong, but then again, she might be a master Black Mage. "She can scare just about anyone if they pretend he's a real hamster, yeah."
