Bowser may have plans to eventually go against all of these people in his plans to take over the world, but the guy liked a celebration, hence the party last month. He had enjoyed the sky changes that had once occurred, he felt like they had improved the tension, but the world not falling into chaos also had its advantages.

Now there was a wedding, and a celebration. He attended, hoping to find ways to increase his standing in the world and the Heroes of Light, and figure out how to move forward. He tries to be as approachable as he can, even greeting people warmly, while, oxymoronic as it may seem to be, maintaining his typical Bowser attitude.

Gasp. That certainly is a big, imposing, and spiky figure... in stylish clothes! Clearly a monster of class and good taste!

Which is exactly why there is an eager skeleton rushing over for a closer look.

"NYEH HEH HEH!!! I SEE YOU'RE WELL DRESSED FOR THE OCCASION. I, THE GREAT PAPYRUS, SALUTE YOU!"

"Well, what can I say? We're celebrating, we're almost out of this whole world destruction loop thing, and someone's marring what for some reason is one of the most frightening creatures on this planet. I gotta dress up for that," Bowser responds.

[einspine]

"INDEED! TRULY, IT IS A MOMENTOUS OCCASION ON MULTIPLE FRONTS!" Love. Certain victory. Triumph against all odds. He's beaming at the thought, though his grin wavers when a realization hits. "DRAT!!! I SHOULD'VE BROUGHT A CUSTOMARY WEDDING PUZZLE FOR THE OCCASION! WITH EXTRA SPIKES! IN THE SHAPE OF A HEART!!!"

Bowser looks at Papyrus with confusion. "Your idea of an ideal puzzle has spikes?" Bowser asks, then grins. "I gotta say, ya got great taste! You're... Papyrus, right?"

[einspine]

GASP!!! He recognizes his name? Never mind that Papyrus literally just said it. That doesn't matter right now. The cool, spiky monster has acknowledged him.

Cue some wide, oddly sparkly eye sockets.

"THAT'S RIGHT! I'M THE GREAT PAPYRUS! AND I'LL HAVE YOU KNOW THAT I'M A SEASONED PUZZLER WITH AN IMMEASURABLE WEALTH OF KNOWLEDGE! PARTICULARLY WHEN IT COMES TO COOL, SPIKY ADDITIONS!!!"

Had Papyrus just said who he was? Bowser wasn’t good with names or paying attention anyway, it had taken him years to even learn Green ‘Stache’s name... what was it again? It had taken him quite a few loops to figure out who all these people were.

“Well, I like your style” Bowser said. “Do you ever do puzzles with lava and fire and stuff?”

GASP!!! Lava. Fire! Papyrus' grin grows even wider. If that's even possible. Blame cartoon logic. His mittened hands ball up with excitement. This is his chance!

"ALL OF THE ABOVE!!! I'VE CONSTRUCTED FIREBALL CANONS. AND MANY A PUZZLE IN HOTLAND HOVERS OVER PITS OF GLORIOUS LAVA!" He'll neglect to mention that most of that lava is synthetic and tempered so that it's less lethal. He suspects that'd diminish the cool factor.

Fireballs and pits of glorious lava, Papyrus was speaking Bowser’s language. “Gwa ha ha,” he laughed, “back where I’m from I used to have castles everywhere, filled with lava and cannons and spikes. Man, if I had one of those castles here...” He chuckles. “A couple of them could even fly.”

Bowser's words prompt more wide-eyed staring. Googly eyes burst from his sockets. "WOWIE!!! YOU HAD MULTIPLE CASTLES? AND THEY COULD FLY?!" That... is incredible! So very, truly, indubitably incredible!

So incredible, that he does a silly salute. "I SALUTE YOU!!! TRULY, YOU ARE A MONSTER OF GREAT CLASS AND STATUS! AND UNDENIABLE COOL!!!"
