The World is Ending? [Front-Dated] [OPEN]
Who: Nozomi Yumehara (AU) and OPEN
When: April 7-9th
Where: Curti Center, Nakagawa, Sparks Golsaucia
What: As the end of the world inches closer, Nozomi wanders around, wondering what she could do
Warnings/Notes: Violence and language
A) April 7 - Nakagawa
Nozomi could feel the tenseness of the citizens. Sitting on the steps of her house, she can see various citizens doing their best to go on with their lives, but there was a air of gloom and doom. Things were going bad and they could see that even one of their saviors seemed helpless. But, the offered smiles, no matter how forced it was, was enough to at least reassure Nozomi.
"...we have to do something. But, what?" she muttered, musing. What did they miss? There had to be something they missed.
B) April 8 - Curti Center
"Wh... where is everyone?!" Nozomi uttered in surprise. She and her Moogle Koko came to see what was going on within the building they first arrived in, only to find it really empty.
"I think everyone home..." Koko said. "I don't blame them, kupo. It's a little worrisome what may happen."
"Well, we have to try something, right?" Nozomi said, wandering around. "Maybe we can find something... anything!"
"Oh, Nozomi..." Koko uttered, shaking her head before following after her partner. "At this point, I don't think we can do much."
C) April 9 - Sparks Golsaucia
"Hey! Hey, you!"
Nozomi had arrived at the Golsaucia, intending on finding something to take her mind off of everything going on, only to be stopped by a group of people, glaring at her.
"Me? What's wrong?" She asked.
"What's wrong? You know what's wrong!" a man said. "This is all your fault! You and the rest of those otherworlders!" Hearing this caused Nozomi's eyes to go wide. "Stop acting stupid, you bitch! You only came here to destroy our world! If you all weren't here, we'd still be alive!"
"W-W-Wait a minute!" Nozomi stammered. "That's not fair! We're trying our best; this isn't our fault, but we're trying to fix it!"
"Shut up!" a woman said. "You and your kind are nothing but a menace! You need to go away!"
"You must understa--!" Nozomi began to say before one threw a rock at her head, striking her and causing her to lose her glasses.
"Hit her again!" "Try to take her Asterisks!" "She needs to be used as an example!"
"Stop it... please!" Nozomi cried out. God, who could show up to save her?

The remainder...? Shitheads like these.
It was the roar of a beast that echoed over the square before the flash of a blade cleaved through a second stone hurled from whatever crowd had gathered to torment the girl. The figure was tall, fully equipped for some sort of monster attack, but there were flecks of... no, not blood, ketchup. Bits of trash. Seemed she wasn't the only one putting up with a bit of heckling today.
Rather than address the mob, he stooped without a word to gather up the glasses, his back turned to them. He gave them a brief inspection before handing them back.
"Stupid question... you okay?"
no subject
"...are you okay? You look a little worse than I am!"

So they're throwing things, hitting and harming the Heroes now. That's just great. So it has been getting worse over time. But Kanji turned his back on Nozomi, forming a human wall.
"A'right, you bastards... you listen up, and you listen damn good! Bahamut was comin' whether we got here or not! But you all got lucky... you got us! We're here to stop Bahamut and any other threat that comes our way, and that's exactly what we're gonna do, got it?"
He turned his gaze, gray eyes steely.
"You wanna drum up a plan to stop Bahamut? Go right ahead. Nobody's stoppin' ya. But I'm gonna make somethin' crystal clear: This affects everybody, so this NEEDS everybody to get their shit together. So how about you all get to work and get your friends n' family safe like adults, instead of callin' a girl a bitch and throwin' rocks at her? I'm sure your Ma's real proud of that move."
He saw you, rock-tosser. That's a firm, unblinking stare their way.
"And she'll know. My moogle's got you all on film from a rooftop nearby. Do yourselves a favor and get the hell to your homes, your loved ones. You wanna help? Cool. Otherwise, we're gonna go on n' do our damn jobs already."

"Wow... that was amazing." she uttered. "I hope they do do something. At the very least stop harassing us." She sighed and shook her head. "Again, thanks for helping me out."
no subject
He shook his head and stepped away.
"Been cleaning up little mobs here n' there. Folks say I should be training, but I think I've trained enough. What matters now is shutting up the fuckers who wanna sow what the mastermind wants in the first place. They want 'em to hate us, and in turn make us doubt ourselves."
Looking over his shoulder, he gestured for her to follow.
"So all we gotta do is go 200% and kick Bahamut's ass, yeah? Lemme getcha a drink or somethin'."

Corrin looks out across the street and sees much the same thing Nozomi does. "It's getting bad out there." She observes.
Re: A
“It really is. I hate it, really.”
no subject
But how would they know? Aside from the occasional smile and exchanged hellos or good days, Corrin and Nozomi don't know these people. She can't put names to faces, certainly, even though she sees them out and about mostly every day.
Corrin gets an idea and looks back at Nozomi. "Maybe it's time we changed that." She suggests.
no subject
She smiled at Corrin. “Even if it’s just a little bit, let’s let them know we’re here.”
no subject
"Then I have an idea." She says, returning Nozomi's smile. "Let's invite the neighbourhood over for a little get-together. We can get some food and drinks together, make sure the people here know you, me, and all the other Heroes are going to make sure they're protected when Bahamut comes. And...try to get to know them, too. It'll help them imagine there's going to be life after this dragon." It might not seem like much, but it's what they can do, right now, and that matters.

But being a beat cop did have its perks. For instance, she could disperse a mob far easier when she had a badge on her belt. Before the angry mob can even register her presence, handcuffs are clicking around the wrists of the person who threw the first rock. "Break it up, people," she says, calm as can be. Icy waves of [Intimidation] roll off her and through the crowd. "Or I'm going to have to charge you with disturbing the peace."
Re: C
“Ah, thanks. I... didn’t think things would get that bad.” She said, finding her glasses and slipping them on.

She couldn't keep thinking about that, though. "Nozomi, right? Corrin's friend?"
