Player Plot: The Dream Width Awakens
Who: Finn and everyone who signed up!
When: Dec. 9-15
Where: The Dream Width
What: Finn and crew are going into the Dream Width
Warnings/Notes: OOC Info
After getting clearance, spreading the word, and gathering everyone together, Finn's still a little uneasy about this idea. But if there's any way out-...
Wedge (with BB-8's help, whether he appreciates it or not) helms the first ship to set off early in the morning on the 9th. Approaching the Dream Width and going through seems no different from usual, only without the new arrivals. There are more than likely to be memories cropping up, but the heroes are hopefully more or less prepared. After all, this shouldn't be anything new, right?
Time to settle in for a long trip.

The Long Wait
"Cruel. Freelancers deserve better than that."

"Do I look like I do? If I knew things, I wouldn't be slacking."
[They lean back further, and to no one's surprise the chair tips over. They catch themself with levitation, and start lounging casually in the air instead.]
"Why do they even teach math? We're not gonna be rocket scientists."

[Frisk.bin's got a point, though— they have stayed with Toriel for extended periods, and been subjected to all manner of accursed education as a result. And so, reluctantly, they slouch through the air to peer over Frisk.bin's shoulder.]
"...Well, there's certainly a few numbers there."
smash cut to after worksheet? i doubt either of us wants to redo eighth-grade math
bold of you to assume i ever did eighth-grade math in the first place
"Numbers. My immortal enemy. I have bested you once more."

They groan and flop over dramatically. "I'm half-convinced that the teachers are Bahamut cultists. That would explain why they spend so much energy on torturing Vaikuntha's two best heroes down with all of this nonsense."

"First thing we do once we're back, strike up an investigation. Expose them. Justice for Frisk."

[They finish sliding off the chair, falling slowly to the floor to do their best impression of a slime mold. They begin to inch underneath the table.]
"D'you think Chara would've helped too?"

"...Wish I could still reset. Didn't get to hang out with them enough."

"...you know, me and Chara actually talked about resetting a lot. Like. It's implications and stuff." They sigh, shifting a bit. "And... well, this is just my take on the matter, hashtag discourse and all that, but. If you go back and try to fix minor mistakes like that, things that are completely out of your control... you're going to end up stuck in the past. Literally. Because you'll never stop chasing that next tiny, incremental improvement despite having something pretty good right in front of you."

"Minor mistakes. 's not that straightforward."

"Well, I know that now. Just... is it fair, if one person sets everyone free, but they can't even enjoy it like everyone else?"
