Reno sighed, massaging his eyes before looking at those that remained before him. “Thanks for coming, everyone. I know it wasn't easy for you all... “

On multiple levels. Those from Insomnia were still grieving the loss of family. So was Kenichi. Ignis was now blind. Reno knew there was nothing he could have done to prevent any of it, but in the back of his mind, it still made him question his ability as a leader. He felt like shit.

“Obviously we can't ignore the fact that we are missing some significant...” What was he even saying? He didn't talk like this. Reno sighed again.

“Fuck it. You know why you're here. Takeshi is gone, and so is Noctis.” And now they needed to figure out how to move on from here.

Bonnie wasn't happy either. She'd spent the past month very busy with her mognet duties and now all of this happened while her pom was focused elsewhere. She fiddled with a paperclip absently, not building anything vicious out of it but just using it to keep her paws busy as she listened. She was sad that Noctis and Takeshi were gone, but at least Reno and Kenichi were here, right?

Kenichi was quiet, though the bags under his eyes spoke how well he took the news of losing his son. Hiding his loss behind working overtime, by taking advantage of holiday's high demand for airship deliveries, was something Nakagawas did often.

"The only thing we can do is to continue. It's what they would've wanted us to do."

Bonnie nodded in agreement. "Mary ran into some troubles with the Bureau back on Crystallis too. It was a while before she could find people she could depend on who didn't get turned to crystal, kupo. And then there was the whole thing with the Diamond Weapon and trying to track down Artemicion...kupo..."

Really few of their major missions went well, but it didn't help how Palitutu was always two steps ahead of them. But they still stuck it out and Bonnie was sure that they'd done good for Crystallis, even if in the background and with little recognition.

Mary... Reno smirked, though there was no joy in it. "It's never been easy, huh?"

Shifting worlds was just a load of trouble, even if good things could happen.

"I've decided not to tell Regis anything. I don't think he should be involved." Reno didn't know the full extent of it, but he had a feeling there was more to Noctis' story than the others had told him. "I think, in the meantime, we should focus on what Takeshi had started. He'd talked about some new leads, maybe making an alliance with another group. It's worth a shot."

"And Kenichi... Whatever we can do. Let us know." Reno frowned. He wasn't sure what Kenichi needed -- time off for himself, or more things to occupy his mind. But whatever he could do, Reno would do it.

"I know I'm a newbie here, but if there's somewhere you think I can help out the most just say the word."

Gladio wasn't entirely in the loop regarding the Assassin's Bureau and all of their ventures, but he trusted Reno and he wanted to at least be useful somewhere. "Probably a good idea to leave Regis out of this... he's got a long way to go."

Amber eyes looked around the room as Gladio tried to make a decent impression on this new group of possible friends and allies.
