Player Plot: Let's Explore Mad'ni Shrine!

Who: Everyone who signed up!
When: Around November 3-6ish
Where: The Mad'ni Shrine
What: Searching for the lost ruins beneath the Shrine!
Warnings/Notes: It's another dreaded water level.

Although the flight provided by Curti Center takes them as close as they possibly can, the Heroes still have to take a brief walk through the woods to reach their destination. It remains to be seen whether the trip will be worth it. After all, their hope of finding a Legendary Eidolon, or even just clues pointing to one, is based on little more than guesswork.

But, with the time ticking down towards the end of the world, they don't have the luxury of ignoring a lead, no matter how vague. A shot in the dark might be what saves them all in the long run.

OOC info and sign-ups are here!

Well, that symbol definitely catches Cor's attention. And already, he's eying the walls for potential hand-holds. "If no one has any of that, I could free-climb us over... Still got some antidotes that guy handed out."

"I'll do you one better," Frisk says, eyeing the walls. Taking a deep breath, they summon a glowing golden star and snap their fingers.

FILE LOADED: Frisk (Bravery)
SPEED UP +20%!
HP DRAIN ACTIVE!

Their eyes start glowing orange, and... wait a minute. Frisk looks upward to find the ceiling almost nonexistent. "...okay, nevermind. That idea's a bust." They fiddle with the star, and their aura fades.

"I agree. We should check the other floors. In the Tide Mother's temple there were levers in rooms that opened a part of the way forward. It's possible we're dealing with something similar." He takes a step back, ready to walk away from this area to go on a hunt.

"At least we have an idea who we might be appealing to. That's a step in the right direction." He glances at the symbol of Phoenix. "...and we can see if this symbol is repeated anywhere else."

Kuja, while he waits for others to arrive, taps out a Mognet message. Happily, the slates seem to be waterproof.

I should think it an absurdly easy puzzle to open the Phoenix Door. The designers of this place do rather seem to have been going for an 'aquatic' motif and there are some fairly complex mechanisms in this place. If there's a lever on your floor, do reply with either a photograph or description of the markings. With any luck, we'll be done with this by dinner.

Actually I have a hunch already but I'd rather not go pulling levers willy-nilly if one of them releases superheated steam instead of seawater.
