A trip to Nakagawa... and everyone’s accidentally invited!

Where: Nakagawa
What: Nozomi’s ready to go to Nakagawa to see what it has to offer. Sadly, her inability to lock things means others can participate as a catch-all!
Warnings/Notes:

Hey! I'm all ready for our trip! Meet me at the Airship Landing and we'll get on our way to Nakagawa!

Nozomi was so excited - she was finally getting the chance to go on her trip with Corrin to go see Nakagawa. She wanted to see what they had to offer, what jobs they could take up, maybe a home they could share... oh, it was so exciting! Of course, Nozomi made one little mistake: she forgot to lock the post to Corrin, so now it seemed like she was inviting everyone else!

[Corrin arrives after a few minutes, having seen the post and gotten her things together. She waves as she approaches.]

"Hey Nozomi! I've been really looking forward to this." [She's holding a small bag, which she pats.] "I took the liberty of getting some snacks and drinks for us to have when we get hungry." [This is, after all, probably going to be an all-day thing.]

[She looks around and sees she is the first, apparently to arrive.] "So, who are we still waiting on?"

Still waiting on? [Nozomi blinks at that] I thought it was just us two...

[You can probably hear those gears turning right now.]

"Oh, well, you set the message to open when I saw it, so I assumed you'd invited some other people along and this was easier than locking it to just the two of us. Did you not mean to do that?" [She laughs good-naturedly.] "We might have some unexpected guests tagging along in that case!"

I left it open?! [She quickly looks at her iMog Slate and realizes her mistake, laughing along with her.] Oops! I had meant it for the two of us, but... oh, well!

[bleating_heart]

This'll be good for him. A trip, with friendly strangers on an all-group kind of sightseeing tour? Yeah, that sounds perfect for a shut-in who needs to get out and actually do stuff. The goat monster sighs slowly, and puts on his best smile as he walks out just in time to hear.... oh.

"Uh.."

That's kind of awkward.

"I can just.. go, if you guys were planning on a.. not-a-group thing."

He says, just standing there holding a bottle of soda without quite knowing how to continue the interaction.

“Ahhh! No, no, wait!” Nozomi yelped, racing over to the new arrival. “I don’t mind others coming along! It was my fault, but I’m gonna own up to it! Please, join us! I’m Nozomi and this is my friend Corrin!”

[bladeofconquest]

[Corrin also approaches Asriel with Nozomi, smiling warmly at him.] "We'd be glad to have you along. The more the merrier, right?" [She offers him her hand in greeting.] "I don't think we've had the pleasure yet, but it's nice to meet you."

[bleating_heart]

Asriel slowly looks between the two, and blinks again. Finally, he settles on a smile, and takes Corrin's hand. "Ah, Asriel. Sure you're alright with me tagging along?" He says. His handshake is decent, but a little weak. "I mean, I've never seen Nakagawa or anything, or.. well, most of this world, come to think of it, so it seemed interesting."

"Of course not! I made a mistake and I'm going to accept the consequences!" Nozomi said. "Besides, it just means we get to meet more people!"

[bladeofconquest]

[Corrin returns the handshake warmly.] "Asriel. It's good to meet you. Well then...shall we be on our way and see what we can see?"

[bleating_heart]

Asriel nods more resolutely, and chugs the rest of the soda before throwing it away. He even manages to get it in the bin this time.

"Yeah, let's go see what's in Nakagawa!" He says, beaming with accomplishment as he puts his hands on his hips.

This is actually going rather well so far.

"Mmn! Let's go!" Nozomi said, pumping her fists. If anyone else wants to come, they better hurry. If not, they can just meet them there!

*EPIC TRAVEL MONTAGE* and then...

[It is sometime later, and Corrin and the others are disembarking from their airship having reached Nakagawa, which she is hopeful will become her home during her time in Vaikuntha. For the moment, however, Corrin stretches, glad to be up and about after the airship ride. Those things will never not be amazing to her.]

"Mmmmmmmnh, that's better. Well! Here we are." [She turns to the others and grins excitedly.] "So, where do we want to start?"

"Hmm...!" Nozomi pondered a bit. "Y'know, it seems quite simple, so let's see what kind of stores they have!"

[bleating_heart]

Asriel nods, similarly glad to be standing on two feet again. He spent the majority of his life underground, some of it both underground and underground, with only a fraction actually taking place aboveground. Flying is something he's trying to get used to, but it's definitely a big step in a sideways direction.

"Hey, yeah, you know I heard that they had this store that sold these weird drinks with crystals in them or something? Not sure if it's worth a look, but." He shrugs.

"Those drinks sound like a good idea to refresh ourselves after we've looked around first." Corrin decides. "Let's find some shops to look at." And maybe do a little shopping of their own!

As they step outside and get their first glimpse of Nakagawa, Corrin whistles appreciatively. "I'm already liking what I see." She says, gazing over the town and its pastoral fields. "It looks so peaceful here. So quiet." Which is exactly what she's hoping for in her Vaikunthan home away from home. Adventurer work is exciting and all...but peace and quiet are what she'll want when she comes home. For however long she's here, at least. "The nights here must be incredible; all the stars you must be able to see...Well!"

She points down a road. "It looks like the center of the town is that way. We're bound to run into some shops. Shall we? If we see any place we want to stop, we will, yeah?"

"It really does sound incredible. I honestly wouldn't mind staying here for a long time!" Nozomi said, laughing a bit.

"Right now, though, while we do have all day, let's get looking around! At the very least we can figure out what's what!"

Corrin's not sure about the "long time" part-there are things she needs to attend to back in Nohr, and people she still desperately misses-but certainly for the immediate future, Nakagawa could definitely be made to feel like home. It really does remind her of the few days she spent in Hoshido before...well. No use dwelling on that now. And Nozomi's enthusiasm is infectious, and she's glad Asriel is enjoying himself too.

As they walk the main drag, it's not long before Corrin spies a sign signifying a storefront. "Hey, there's one. Looks like an item store. Shall we take a look?"

[bleating_heart]

Asriel walks up to it to look in the window, pressing his face against it as he peers inside. "Whoa. High quality stuff." He says, assuming a lot from a basic glance.

"I have a little spending money, so I don't know if I'm going to be buying a lot, but the season's coming up, isn't it? Shop early to avoid all the hassle."

He'd better get something for Frisk... and Frisk... and Papyrus... and.. Kuja.
