Spooky Scary Skeleton (And Other Friends) [Closed]
Who: Frisk, Papyrus, Baiken, Kuja, and Chara
When: All throughout October
Where: The spookiest of spookplaces in Vaikuntha
What: Frisk gets a'exorcisin', and they call on a few friends to help out.
Warnings/Notes: General fun spoopiness, will tag further as needed
Frisk was always a fan of haunted house rides. At least when the staff wasn't chewing them out for sneaking in. The real thing, surprisingly, wasn't all that more creepy, and definitely more cute. At least sometimes.
[OOC: Separate toplevels for separate quests.]

Smoke billows once more when Frisk uses Smoke Bomb, and Baiken can only see Frisk for a half second before they disappear into it again. But while it may have done major damage to the dragon, Frisk's shenanigans seem to have pissed it off, and it lets out a roar of challenge.

She called this Himawari, and all of the factor's of the dragon's sense of balance being thrown off, on top of Baiken's remarkable strength, aimed to literally slam the dragon onto its back from the force of it all.

Having finally had enough, the dragon bellows forth a great gout of blue fire in all directions. Unfortunately, Frisk isn't fast enough to dodge its breath weapon and is caught in the blast, tumbling backwards into a nearby rock. The effort is exhausting for the dragon, and it doubles over, breathing smoke and hacking up magmaballs like a cat.

Frisk thankfully manages to avoid the wind, disappearing with another smokebomb in its wake.

The dragon, having lost sight of its only living target, takes a breather. Well, as much of a breather as giant monsters can take, as it starts hacking up magmaballs everywhere again like a cat.

"Damn... can't afford that mistake again. Any ideas? We seemed to be doing fine until it flapped its wings like that..."

Frisk takes advantage of the dragon's stunned state and pained yelps to appear out of the smoke, riding... a Hellfrog. They jump off it almost immediately, sending the demonic amphibian on a perfect trajectory towards the dragon's gullet. It slides down its throat, and seconds later an explosion can be heard from within the dragon's stomach.
The dragon's still on its feet, and it readies itself to pounce on Frisk and Baiken. Before it can lunge forward, a second, glowing golden Frisk appears, plummeting out of the sky and burying several ice shuriken in the dragon's back then disappearing just as quickly as they arrived. "Guess it's time to wrap this up," Frisk says, momentarily beside Baiken, and their entire body flares with the same golden aura before they disappear once more.
Melody Activated: Fractured Nova says a distorted, tinny voice from out of nowhere. And music starts playing.

The dragon takes the bait, lunging at the Frisk that's still within its reach, and... Baiken immediately gets a headache as around two dozen Frisks appear at once, each accompanied by their own sets of memories as they wildly flashstep and cut the dragon into ribbons, each disappearing and time traveling precisely two seconds back in time when their combo is over until only Frisk Prime remains, panting but smiling triumphantly. But amazingly, the dragon is still alive, if only barely. They appear next to Baiken while they're also recovering right next to it, saying, "You want to do the honors here?"

Pulling her pipe from her lips, she passed it over to Frisk, just to hold for her for the moment, as she stepped forward, at a fairly relaxed pace, towards the dragon. Unlike Frisk's almost heroic looking gold aura that shined when they had activated their Melody, Baiken's was profoundly different.
Crimson, like blood, flowing in and around her, a swirl of something cold and alarming, that most people beholding would find pierced right to their animal instincts of fearing for their own life. The energy was murderous, the true aura of a killer, red and menacing.
It all seems to crescendo, tension building and building, until in a flash, a literal blinding flash, Frisk could hear Baiken's sword being drawn, but nothing else seems to happen. The aura is gone, her sword is sheathed once more, and she takes back her pipe when she returns to where she'd been standing before, plopping herself down to continue smoking.
"Pay the respects to the Palace of Yama," she speaks, quietly, before the dragon collapsed, a spray of crimson mist shooting upward. That was the impact of Garyou Tensei.

They look even more perplexed for a few moments after her melody is activated and nothing seems to happen. Frisk's mouth opens to pose a question, but they're interrupted when the dragon falls apart. Literally. The two halves of its body succumb to gravity, falling to the rocky ground.
Frisk can't do anything but gawk for a few seconds. Snapping out of their shock, they crack a shaky grin, offering a fist to bump on Baiken's good side. "Wow. And I thought my melody was hot shit," they joke as they approach its corpse to retrieve the loot.

"It gets the job done, that's all that matters. Garyou Tensei is the last step into hell. If you think of it as something admirable, you'll become entrenched in the scent of blood..."

Frisk walks back over to Baiken, handing it over to her. "This is a Dragon Heart. It apparently makes weapons crazy powerful. Here, consider it a bonus," they say, smirking. "I literally couldn't have done this without you, so... yeah."

"This sword may not be much, but it's gotten me this far without needing any augmentation, just the occasional cleaning and sharpening. I don't need anything else." Also, she didn't want to mess around with dragon magic, but it didn't make her spoken sentiment any less true.
End here?
