Where: The younger Final Fantasy XV house
What: Noctis and Prompto are up to no good. It's unlikely anyone will take that lying down.
Warnings/Notes: None really, shenanigans.

Part of the problem, perhaps, was that things had been rather serious as of late. The mood in the house was somber, and apart from that, Prompto got the idea talking to Keith that they needed to have fun.

Not that he was planning on taking the blame for his mischief, nor would he be doing it alone. Prompto was going to propose it to Noctis, and he didn't think he was going to have to twist his arm too much.

There was likely going to be retaliation, but that was future Prompto's problem.

He grinned. Let the pranks begin!

Prompto's eyes were a bit blurry from the burning and he glanced at Ignis, just a brief moment, because of course Ignis did this.

"....uh huh." He answered as though it seemed a bit painful to do so, and kept running the water over his tongue.

He wasn't sure what he'd done to Ignis to deserve cupcakes, but he was going to have to think of something creative.

He'd feel bad... if it weren't for purple streaks in his hair (they are STILL there, he can't wash the color out!), rubber ducks everywhere and stinging pain in his foot from all the legos.

Still, he pulls out a carton of milk and pours a glass for him. "Here, to ease the spiciness."

Ebony's just floating around Prompto with a towel, trying to wipe his tears off.

Technically, Prompto couldn't be blamed for any of that, he left the legos in a nice, neat built state, someone else kicked them around and didn't pick them up. He was suspecting Ravus himself.

He waved off Ebony a bit and pressed his palms to his eyes to stem the burning.

"...What'd you do to the milk?"

The details don't matter when things pile up and the people in the house declare they are in a prank war. He only did what he knew- cooked. If it is any consolation, the cupcakes got both Ravus and Noctis.

Ignis eyes the glass with raised eyebrows then looks back at Prompto.

"I poured it in the glass."

Prompto exhaled a little, it wasn't Ignis exactly, it was just that everything was burning at the moment, far more than he enjoyed.

He reached out and took the glass sipping it first, his other hand moving to cover his eyes with his forearm.

He shuffled over to the table like that and sat down to ride out the pain.

Prompto just got the worst cupcake of the bunch. Spice is very hard to get rid of. He doesn't return the milk in the fridge and joins Prompto at the table.

"I was hoping I will get Gladio with these before lunch," Ignis admits

"Are you alright?" He knows Prompto can handle spicy but maybe he overdid it.

He chuckled slightly and nodded. "Good luck."

Prompto raised his head to Ignis and nodded. "Yeah, just...whoo! That's hot!"

The burning was beginning to leave his eyes so he sipped the milk a few more times.

"...What's in it?"

Well, if someone could handle the spice, it would be Prompto. Still, he's glad that the milk is helping out.

"The spiciest pepper powder I could find in the store. I don't think it's the intensity of Leiden Ghost pepper, but it should come close."

"I promise to prepare something edible for lunch."

No worries!

The intensity was enough to put Prompto in tears, at any rate and he had to wipe his cheeks with his forearm. He knew better than to rub his eyes, at least.

"Not as hot as that."

Prompto would know, he'd eaten one on a dare from a certain prince.

"It seems I have stumbled upon a golden product," Ignis muses loudly. He won't be using it again on Prompto, but Gladio might not be safe. Besides, he could use it for cooking too, if he uses proper amounts instead of loading the meal with spice.

"I suppose you don't want anything spicy for lunch. Some skewers and salad then?"

"Especially the salad." He groaned a little, that cool lettuce on his tongue would be a godsend.

"Yeah, probably not a good idea. Good prank though, Iggy." He can admit when he's been bested.

"Totally fell for it!"

"Someone who appreciates the vegetables," Ignis nods with a chuckle.

"Thank you. It was actually very painful for me to ruin the perfect cupcakes but- payback is a payback."

"Always expect unexpected," he says with a playful smile.

"I'm not scared of lettuce, like Noct is." He grinned, a little cheekily.

"Seriously, never thought you'd do it. So really, kudos man." He chuckled.

Ignis laughs. True.

"If you need any help in the future, mostly tips on how to look innocent while setting up pranks," Ignis pushes his glasses up knowingly, "I am at your disposal." The tactician will gladly lend you a hand.

He gasped. "Iggy, are you saying I don't look innocent?"

Prompto grinned brightly. "I'd take your advice anyway."

"I'm saying you look too innocent," Ignis laughs. "And that always raises suspicion."

He nods and smirks- yeah, they could actually make a really mean team when it comes to pranks.
