Revenge is best served between friends
Who: Final Fantasy XV cast, and any visitors who would like to wander into this mess
When: backdated to October 3rd
Where: The younger Final Fantasy XV house
What: Noctis and Prompto are up to no good. It's unlikely anyone will take that lying down.
Warnings/Notes: None really, shenanigans.
Part of the problem, perhaps, was that things had been rather serious as of late. The mood in the house was somber, and apart from that, Prompto got the idea talking to Keith that they needed to have fun.
Not that he was planning on taking the blame for his mischief, nor would he be doing it alone. Prompto was going to propose it to Noctis, and he didn't think he was going to have to twist his arm too much.
There was likely going to be retaliation, but that was future Prompto's problem.
He grinned. Let the pranks begin!

OTA, a bit after the chocobos have begun happening
Her stash is nowhere near as large as Noctis' - in fact, some of the little chocobos are ones repurposed from scenes he's left. The scenes she sets up are no less ornate than the ones Noctis left; they're more ornate, possibly. To differentiate between the scenes of hers and the scenes of her fiance she's gone the extra mile of... customizing the chocobos. There's one who's wing has been painted a deep purple, reminiscent of her brother's prosthetic, leading a march with a toothpick sword at his side. There's a chocobo "holding" a camera taking pictures of anyone who opens the door to the bathroom while another chocobo looks on, judging.
Two chocobos are locked in mortal combat on the kitchen counter, one wearing a black jacket and one the same purple-winged commander from before. All in all, she's gone all out, and she's not so sneaky as to avoid being caught while setting the scenes or while painting and fashioning clothes for her little friends.
Noctis is always to blame, that's just the way it is. You get used to it.
Naturally, he thought it was Noctis up to the same old trick, at least this poor chocobo wasn't drowning in the tub.
He got up when he heard the noise in the kitchen and came around to find another scene being set up by none other than Lady Lunafreya.
He let out a very manly squeak befitting his age and not, say, like some teenager.
no subject
"Oh!" She...looks a little guilty, being caught in the act, but not guilty enough to try to hide the chocobo in her hands. "You must be Prompto."
She's been waiting to meet him, more than anyone else in Noctis' retinue.
no subject
He wasn't even wearing proper clothes, he'd slept in these!
Prompto opened his mouth and closed it again. He could feel his anxiety building in the moment he was just not prepared for this, he should have been, but really, he'd been expecting an introduction or something not to just walk up and find her there.
She was speaking to him and it would be rude not to answer, but what could he say? There were so many things he wanted to say, so many things he wanted to tell her.
He swallowed, and attempted to speak, although it was soundless, before he finally broke through, voice cracking. "Uh huh."
no subject
(At times she worried about him, worried if there was too much of a burden placed on his shoulders, but... He must have been good for Noctis, or else he would not remained a staple of his life.)
But he...didn't seem to be having a good time of it. Concern crosses Lunafreya's face, but she keeps herself from reaching out. Perhaps with this it's best to let things pass.
And, besides, it doesn't take away her excitement at meeting him.
"I have to say, I've been looking forward to being able to meet you, but...I wasn't expecting it to be like this."
no subject
"I-I..."
Prompto stammered a little bit and let out a small frustrated groan at himself. Sometimes, his anxiety was rather inconvenient.
He took a breath and tried again.
"I-It's nice to meet you." He licked his lips nervously and smiled. He wasn't trying to make her worry about him or anything.
"I...um..."
He wasn't grappling with the feelings so much as the words.
"Thank you!" He blurted out.
no subject
"It's nice to meet you as well," she says with a smile. She sets down the chocobos she's working on and stands, making her way slowly to Prompto's side. If he seems uncomfortable with that, she'll stop, but for now she thinks closing the distance might help.
Might make things a little more real.
But then he blurts out "thank you" and she stops and blinks, stunned for a moment. Then she shakes her head.
"You have nothing to thank me for. I should be the one thanking you."
no subject
Prompto insisted a bit, looking a little more serious. He shook his head at her words and although he didn't react too much to her approaching, he pressed his lips together. It was funny, when he dreamed of this moment, he wasn't himself, but someone like him who was a lot more confident.
"I um..." He breathed. "S-Sorry."
It wasn't her doing, it wasn't her fault, he just needed to push through it and get the words out he needed. "Sorry, I'm-" He shook his head.
"A-Anyway, without your um, letter, and request I w-woudln't..." He wouldn't be there. He wouldn't have Noctis, Ignis and Gladio at his side. He'd be alone somewhere.
"I w-wasn't brave enough. For a lot of things. Until you asked me."
no subject
"It's okay," she murmurs, hand gently squeezing. She hopes he will believe her, will accept that it truly is okay and find peace.
She's glad that he does manage to get more words out, even as she remains concerned. Her presence is hopefully not the cause, though she's experienced people being nervous and wary in the presence of the Oracle. (Not many, but enough that she doesn't hold it against him.)
"If you could do what I asked of you..." If he had been by Noctis' side, had been there for him, supported him, then... "Then you were brave enough. Perhaps you needed a nudge in that direction, but..."
She smiles, softly. "You were brave, Prompto. With or without my letter, you were brave, and you were kind."
no subject
"Uh."
He covered it up by ducking his head and running his hand through his hair. "Yeah. Um. Y-yeah, now I think so but um. Not...not when I was younger."
Lunafreya really didn't want to hear about that, he was pretty sure, what a terrible loser she'd pinned her hopes onto. He'd gotten better though, he was working hard to be someone worthy of his friends, always.
"I don't know about that." He admitted, he didn't think he was terribly kind back then either. A little resentful and desperate maybe, but he didn't think he was kind.
"But um, you're welcome I guess?" He laughed nervously.
no subject
"Perhaps you weren't brave as a child, but that matters not. Who you are now is more important." She smiles at him, kindly, before turning back to look at the chocobos she was working on.
This conversation is important, she feels, and she pauses for a moment before turning back to Prompto.
"After all, it's the actions you take that mean the world to those around you, and you've taken actions that have so much meaning to those around you." She clears her throat, expression going sheepish. "But forgive me if I'm overstepping any bounds."
no subject
"I-I don't know about that? I m-mean I'm just...me." Prompto said shyly.
"N-No, you're not." He stammered, flustered. "I mean I just...I'm..." He just looked nervous and he sighed and sat down, resting his chin on the palm of his hand. "Okay."
Prompto took a deep breath. "S-Sorry. It's not you. I just...s-strangers make me nervous? N-Not that you are one or that I'm not really super happy to see you it's just...I'm..." Another breath. "Hi. I'm h-happy to meet you. Really."
