What: Characters assist Ganeshan in developing Custom Jobs.

A. The Lab

As much as Ganeshan requires supplies to create Custom Jobs, he need help at home base. With the large number of potential applicants, outworlders and Curti Center employees are invited to help out in the lab, not only with testing transfer of Jobs to crystals, but in developing the abilities and running safety tests.

Easier said than done when all of these cats aren't roaming throughout the center and claiming everything to be their sitting spot. The interns are trying their best to catherd to little avail.

B. Job Development

The break room contains formal submission papers and pamphlets describing the steps required to develop a Custom Job. Senior employees are available to help characters workshop the abilities, but they mostly want to remain in the break rooms to avoid Ganeshan's constant Job mania. His booming voice is muffled through the doors, interspersed with allergic sneezing.

A room has been prepared for those to practice using their basic job abilities, primarily in making sure they're stable yet not too weak. There is a chance that an improper ability extraction can go wrong and hurt the user, so Ganeshan has group of White Mages are on standby in case things go south.

For those that would rather have all the fun without the work, there is the Ability Simulation and Modeling Room, where characters can design their abilities on the computer and see them play out on the screen before them. There's no limit here, and since Jessie is too busy to keep an eye on everyone, the outfits and visual effects have the potential to get...very, very silly.

C. Heigh-Ho

It's off to work you go. Those crystals won't mine themselves, and anyone strong enough must enter the mine in search of the necessary material. It's tedious, difficult work, and some of these are embedded so deeply in the rock that they might be more trouble than they're worth. Not to mention those gross bugs might not like their homes to be disturbed.

There's also the fact that monsters have a tendency to wander inside and attack, so they'll need some reliable body guards.

There should be more crystals deeper inside, but someone else will have to scout the area...

D. Explore the Dungeon

Which is where this team comes in. All the good stuff is deep in this mine, and reliable navigators are necessary to map out the tunnels without getting lost. There's also the fact that the previous owners of a time long ago didn't want opportunists to take their precious resources and outfitted the rooms with puzzles.

Door Locks are puzzles. Pressure plates activate traps. It's the ultimate test of critical thinking. Some of these don't make sense if you think for too long. Why did they go through all the trouble to program time-based puzzles with falling blocks and symbols? The Pupu are strange. At least the bats here are easy to fight, and the mine cart rides are fun.

A) The Lab

As much as Sasami was wary of returning that aspect of her life back to her, she knew she didn't have much of a choice - she wanted to save the world and if that meant rebonding with Tsunami, so be it.

Of course, with so many cats around, they couldn't do much, so Sasami's ready to aid in rounding up those adorable balls of fluff. Gourmand job nearly at max, she's used it to prepare numerous meals for the cats as she also has tons of toys and other things to keep them busy.

Now, where the heck did they go?

B) Job Development

Okay, question - how does one go about designing the powers of a freaking goddess?! That's the problem Sasami's out to solve. Sure, there's the idea of trying to get her in lock, stock and barrel, but they won't do that at all! Way too powerful. And they might cause Bahamut to show up even faster!

To that end, Sasami's busy just modeling over how she thinks things could work here. Yes, you can question why it seems that Sasami is summoning an older version of herself for various attacks and effects, but she'll probably get flustered at it.

Also, don't question her job outfits. She's experimenting - not everyday you can pretend to be a Magical Girl!

D) Explore the Dungeon

Exploring dangerous dungeons filled with various traps, a few random monsters and a few other surprises? Count her in! Oh, sure, her Gourmand job isn't the best, but it's for a good cause! And besides, she's able to go out and about and prove her worth!

Granted, it's quite scary and who knows what other hidden stuff is in there. That's what you're here for: to watch over her.

Nanamo's new adopted cat was resting on her head when she approached Sasami. "Looking for something?" asked Nanamo curiously as her ball of fluff yawned sleepily.

"Ah! Oh, um... honestly, I was messing with an idea... or two. Or many." Sasami said, looking away briefly.

"Ah, be glad you can find something you can create," said Nanamo. "I have nothing to really create from home."

“Really? To be honest, I... don’t feel particularly happy doing this.” Sasami said.

"Really? Why is that?" asked Nanamo curiously.

Sasami’s head dropped at that. “As much as it means I can help my friends and the world, it’s a reminder that i’m not the real Sasami.” She admitted. “I’m just a vessel for the power I’m trying to bring back...”

"And yet, here you are trying to do your best. It's still commendable," said Nanamo. "I would still consider it."

Sasami blinked at that. “You... you think so?”

"Pushing through the tough parts in life makes us strong," said Nanamo. "If you can learn from what makes you worried and sad, then you can become stronger in the end."

“I... I never thought of it like that...” Sasami said, a little stunned.

"Yes, well, it's a thought that has kept me going," said Nanamo with a little smile on her face.

“Really? But... you seem quite okay...”

"I am burdened with purpose, Sasami, and even though I am not as strong as many others were, I have been working towards funding and preparing behind the scenes to get the funds needed for traveling. I intend on visiting the shrines to see what this world offers." said Nanamo. "To this end, I require funding."

“Oh... oh, dear and I was hoping for your help some time ago and...!”

She hopped down from her chair and bowed to her. “Please forgive me.”

"It is quite all right," said Nanamo, helping Sasami up. "You've helped me out quite a bit, and to that, I thank you."

Sasami smiled softly and shook her head. "You don't need to thank me. I was just trying to be a friend..."

"Well then, shall we figure out then what you want then out of this process?" Said Nanamo with a smile.

"Ah... s-sure! I'd enjoy the help!" Sasami said, nodding quickly.
