Look, games are one of his first languages; especially cards and numbers. Of course he'd get them. Even if it's different, he did watch a few of the others once or twice playing video games at the Tower. But because it's been so long, he defaulted right back to cards.

I only knew how to destroy."
He can't form a shield like he can; can't use curative spells back home, either. Sure, someone once taught him more magic, but... it was all an illusion and theories.
