Adrien is knocked back, but only somewhat at the strike and scowls at the Chocobo Eater. It hit pretty hard, but that attack wasn't enough to make him back down. Shifting his position, he doesn't mind keeping himself up front and even in the Eater's path to keep it from going at the young Chocobo it had targeted.

Steeling himself, he draws his blade in the furious Shooting Star combo attack. Blade back, he would target its defense next.
