[He stares down at his mug and frowns. There had been no gap between going outside to think and waking up in a memory that wasn't his and yet it was.]
...I had gone outside and next thing I knew I was waking up inside my own memory, again. [He glances at his right shoulder and the metal arm.]
When I woke in the Dream width, I had the clothes I was wearing when I disappeared and all the things I now remembered including physical wounds were present. According to everyone else I wasn't greyed out. They sent me messages that my iMog received.
...there's more. What happened to the moogles of the others? Wimbledon stayed. And we found Hunk after me. [He shuts his eyes the shadow of grief passing over him and being shoved aside quickly.]
He didn't stay. We think it happened after the meeting in the Empire. We looked but his moogle was gone too and there was further evidence he was gone.

Noctis may have told you. We have lost several people from our world.
[The ones who had come and gone before Ravus' arrival, Ravus had not known well, but the loss of Iris Amicitia had weighed heavily on the Eosians. ]
...I am sorry for your loss.

[He nods, yes he'd heard of people missing. He and Noctis have kept tabs on each other.]
One of the signs seems to be our moogle companions vanish and our names get greyed out. If neither happens we usually return. There wasn't any warning when Hunk vanished the second time.

If any of my household disappear, I will know what to look for. You have my thanks.
[He can only hope it will not come to that, but nothing about his life so far makes him optimistic about his chances. He drains his wine glass.]
Life exploded, sorry
[He nods once, combing back over what he knows in a vain attempt to find anything else. But what he does remember makes him pause.]
...actually, there's one last thing to note. If you're bound to something...this may hold true it may not. In my present time, I shouldn't be able to pilot the Black Lion. But here I still can. I think because of the time it came from.
Before I was no longer its pilot.

I've noticed something similar. Noctis does not have the powers afforded to his bloodline on Eos, and two who should be dead live here.
[He feels no need to go further into that. They are not his tales to tell.]
Can there only be a single pilot for your lion? You said you were resuming your route here, so you are presumably still capable of performing your duties.

The Lions are suppressed here. We still have our psychic links between us but, they can't fight or fly. And yes, there's normally only one link between a Paladin and Lion.
[He pauses, thinking how to word it then nods to himself.]
I'm more their commander now than a fellow paladin. Keith is the present leader.

That seems strange. This world nullifies our abilities, but it has given you back an ability you had lost. There seems little rhyme or reason behind it.
Still, I am sure commandership suits you. Competence is a rare commodity, and it should be used to its best advantage. [Best not to waste talent on the front lines, is what he diplomatically does not say.]
