A. Curti Center, April 30th

[Ganeshan is a good guy, something Okuyasu decides the instant he returns to the island where his new home lies. The trip had given him two Asterisks, free food, and a backpack full of trinkets, plus other bags from the freebie tables that are holding school supplies consisting of small notebooks and pencils found on the ground. A most excellent haul.

Immediately after landing, he is notified that Biggs and Wedge found an item in the Dream Width matching his personal frequency. Before Okuyasu can respond with a "what the hell does that mean", an intern holds up a potted plant. On closer look, the flower appears to be thrashing around, and upon closer inspection, it's hissing like a cat. Actually, it looks a lot like a cat.]

Oh, shit!

[Okuyasu makes a quick grab for the plant and scratches behind the petals that constitutes as its ears. The plant calms down in the presence of a familiar face, but it's still growling at the general situation.

Okuyasu, on the other hand, is panicking.] Are Biggs and Wedge okay? Are they in the hospital? [Is that why they're not here to personally deliver the cat plant?] I'm sorry if Stray Cat hurt anyone!

[The intern is confused.]

B. House B-09, May 1st - 2nd

[So whatever took Okuyasu's Stand away also took Stray Cat's, but left enough power to allow it to exist. That's fine. No one will die horribly considering Okuyasu's lost the ability to erase its air bubbles from existence. Now they're stuck with an pet that acts like a normal cat when upset.

He has it standing on the front steps of the house while he sits beside it, enjoying the sunny weather and watching it attempt to preen itself. Silly cat. He dangles a piece of wheat over its face and watches it bat at it, one cheek propped on his hand.]

I thought you were supposed to be lookin' after Pops...

[Stray Cat huffs at its lack of claws. It closes its eyes as its petals compresses the air inside and shoots it out in a quick, small gust. The head of wheat snaps, but it doesn't break off the stem. Stray Cat repeatedly shoots air out from its "head", frustrated that it lost the ability to utterly murder whatever it wants.]

[A long sigh. That was the worst thing to imagine right after a long trip.]

Yeah, Yukako. I don't think she can change its color, but she could use it to grab things and throw shit around. That's why it probably looked good every day.

[Definitely the type to have it blowing in nonexistent wind.]

But- but how- [ He just kind of sputters for a second, before shaking it off and sounding a a bit... desperate. ] How'd she throw things without the hair breaking or getting pulled out?

[ That sounds wholly against the laws of nature and physics and Hunk is not pleased. ]

[There's physics and then there's Jojo nonsense. Okuyasu is calm as ever.]

I told you, it's her Stand.

Okay, sure... [ Hunk rolls his eyes, clearly unsatisfied. ] But what if you cut her hair? Just get a battery-powered trimmer and- [ He makes a loud buzzing noise as he makes a Pac-man motion with one hand as it moves from one side of his chest to the other. ]

She can't use her Stand if she's bald, right?

She's probably kill you for that.

[There are plenty of ways to do that without Stands.]

If she can grow her hair super long, I think she can grow it back fast.

I guess that makes sense. [ He winces a bit. Being killed isn't a fun thought. ] So what's the craziest Stand you've seen? Nutty Diamond or something?

Crazy Diamond. And it's not weird, it's the most useful Stand.

[He frowns deeply. Hunk just insulted his friend and if Josuke were here and Hunk weren't cool, Okuyasu would give him a smack for badmouthing his bro.]

I dunno. They'll all different...but the kid that said he was an alien was weird. Nothin' too weird about shapeshifting, though.

He said he was an alien? [ Hunk just blinks a few times, because this rings a bell. ] Mikitaco, right? [ Did he use food-based mnemonics and then forget the original name? Maybe. ]

Was he actually an alien? [ And then he smirks. ] I've seen some aliens that look like humans, he totally could be. [ He's hoping to get a bit of a laugh out of his pal, what with how he reacted to aliens when they first met. ]

Mikitaka. [He's not too offended by that. He's a friend but still a bit of a weirdo.] He never proved he was one, just that he wasn't a bad person. Every time I tried to ask about his alien tech, he said he left it in his spaceship.

[A shrug.] My friend totally believes he's an alien. I think he likes actin' that he is one.

That's lame, any good alien brings their cool stuff with them. [ Too many examples to mention. People think aliens are pretty cool when they're friendly aliens! But then he raises an eyebrow. ]

Did Mikitaka have a Stand? Or was that just a human thing?

(( I'd love if we could try to wrap this thread up because it's pretty old and they could small talk about stands forever. This is Hunk's 17th tag in the thread so we could try to get to 20 if you wanted? ))

I know! It's just a lame excuse if you ask me. [Aliens aren't real. They're fun to read about in tabloids, but Okuyasu knows better than to believe in them.]

He had a Stand. But he passed it off as another alien thing.
