A Painter's World
Who: Fei Fong Wong and anyone who stops in, also Emeralda and Elly
When: Month of July
Where: Fei's art studio, Aveh Artistry in Yun'Ashia
What: Studio work can be fun (and sometimes messy)
Warnings/Notes: None
Open to all
Fei was admittedly somewhat surprised his application had been accepted so readily, in the new setting he didn't have much of his portfolio available and hadn't had much of an opportunity to rebuild it. However, it seems like what he had was enough, and he was excited, albeit somewhat nervous to be owning and running his own studio.
He'd labored over the sign, a simple, elegantly painted sign with mild illumination simply stating the name of the studio - "Aveh Artistry". Bart and his kingdom might be far away right now, but they were always close in the hearts of Fei and his family.
The studio itself is clean and organized, with paintings hanging on walls in the style of a gallery, with pricing information available and a small counter that was often unmanned. In the back, a workshop where Fei can work on commissions when not helping potential customers.
To anyone who might wander in, they are free to browse the paintings, many of which are landscapes of the surrounding area and the cities Fei and visited. There are a few sample portraits of people, one a young lady of about fourteen with striking green hair and the other a young woman of about nineteen with floor-length red hair. Neither are exceptionally detailed, painted from memory to enhance the landscape as opposed to requiring a sitting model (Fei wasn't going to subject Emeralda to that and as to Elly, well, that painting might occur someday but there was history there). Also posted around is commission information in a small pamphlet Fei drew by hand and placed at strategic points within the building. Although many of the items in his gallery are more classic paintings, Fei is quite clear that there is no work too small or mundane for him to consider, shop signs, theater sets, even family portraits, he's happy to take on work as it comes.
Closed to Emeralda
In the days leading up to the opening of Aveh Artistry, Fei has been preoccupied with his work, preparing paintings at a rapid pace to fill the open gallery space. Likely, Emeralda hasn't had as much time to interact with Fei who, while trying to be available, has also been extremely busy locked in a room working. Today, however, is a bit different. Fei is still working, of course, but the door is flung open and there is another easel available and surrounded in paper, with a set of paints set out invitingly.
Closed to Elly
Upon arriving in Yun'Ashia, Fei had not had much time to explore the city, consumed as he was by preparing to open the studio. Now, however, that work was finished and the studio was open, things were a bit slow but he was starting to take on some jobs. Early one morning on the weekend, Fei will be found preparing some food in the kitchen.
"Are you free today? I thought we might go explore the city, if you haven't already."

"Fei?" She asked once she spotted him at his easel. The second easel hadn't gone unnoticed, but she focused on him as she stepped carefully into the room. "Okay if come in?"

Fei is still painting, he's been doing a lot of that trying to get ready to open the business, but he gives Emeralda a kind smile.

"What is it?"

As if to demonstrate, he dips his brush on some of the colors splotched onto a wooden board and begins spreading them evenly on the easel, the colors blending into the nature scene, becoming vibrant autumn leaves on the trees.

So seeing him there in the kitchen is a pleasant surprise; and though she tries to discreetly hide her excitement at his suggestion, the smile on her face is likely a dead giveaway.
"I haven't," She starts, crossing behind him and peering over at what he is cooking. "Are you sure? Do you have time for that?"

Fei laughs a bit ruefully.
"I'm about ready to open which means I can have a life again. Kinda."
