Where: All over Vaikuntha, starting outside of the airship hanger
What: Ganeshan, the resident Job Expert, will be taking the new arrivals around the the various Guilds so they can collect their chosen Job Asterisks as noted in their applications.

Enter the Master

[Each new arrival's iMog buzzes with a message instructing them to gather for a worldwide adventure to obtain the power of Vaikuntha. If they follow the invitation's instructions, they will arrive at outside of the airship hanger on the morning of the 15th, with their meager belongings packed.

An Enterprise-Class airship, the Ragnarok, hovers outside of the Curti Center. There is a flash of light on the top of the ship.]

"WELCOME!"

[A figure, minuscule at this distance, launches itself off of the ship and hurtles toward the ground. As he draws closer to the ground, he starts to flip, landing with a flourish. An armored figure, sans helm, turns his toothy Zora grin to the crowd. With a shimmer, his armor transforms into a white mage's robe, and he sends a rush of wind through the crowd for dramatic effect.]

"I AM GANESHAN, THE JOB MASTER! GYA HA HA HA! TODAY, YOUR LIVES WILL CHANGE FOREVER."

[Ganeshan shimmers again, ruthlessly abusing the Chemist's Modifier skill to once again shift Job Classes so he can lower the airship's loading dock with a wave of his hand.]

"I BELIEVE THAT EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOU HAS THE ABILITY TO MASTER THE JOB CLASSES. SOME OF YOU MAY MASTER MANY, OTHERS WILL PURSUE THE PERFECT MASTERY OF JUST ONE. BUT EITHER WAY, YOU'LL BE INCREDIBLE!"

[Ganeshan gives everyone a big thumbs-up. The out-worlders who are not scared off by this booming speech can feel free to enter the airship and prepare for their ride around the world. Hopefully some of the Curti Center's newest hires can serve as non-crazy less exuberant tour guides for the new arrivals.]

Around the World

[The Ragnarok will be stopping at every major city in Vaikuntha, with the exception of those cut off by the Imperial border closing. Characters can create top levels to respond to the Guild prompts and explore the cities themselves as the ship makes its stops. Each Guild provides information sessions, free food and trinkets for potential applicants, and once you're ready to receive your Asterisk, all you have to do is take some introductory lessons and fill out forms. Characters can receive up to two asterisks. Time to get to know your new world!

[He's still holding the sweet little white dog. He didn't care what kind it was, so long as they were an overly friendly and clever dog. To see such big ones along with small ones spoke of just how GOOD dogs were, no matter the breed.]

This Guild's the freakin' best, right!?

Can we just live here instead? [ Hunk lets out a gleeful little cheer as his puppy stands on his lap and starts licking at his face. ]

I missed puppies so much, you have no idea! [ Hunk's eyes go wide and he starts giggling at his big-puppy's licking, and he stares at his new human friend. ] Maybe we can convince them to let us take one home?

...C-could we!? I mean, they're trained to help the berserkers...

[No, but really. Maybe if they asked super nicely they could keep the dogs. He was going to miss little Tippie.]

What if the dogs have friends here?

[ Hunk's brow furrows at the guy's points. They're valid. Very valid. But his eyes light up like industrial-strength lightbulbs, and ]

What if we take all of them home?

[ By now, the goliath puppy is just resting its head on one of Hunk's shoulders and getting comfortable. ]

Then they'll be with all their friends!

But what about the berserkers...? I've tried that berserk stuff, man. That didn't feel good at all.

Helpful, sure, but scary as all hell.

[ Hunk furrows his brow at the point- the Berserkers need these precious beasts more than they do, and need outweighs want. So the next best thing makes him let out a small little squeal of elation. ]

What if we just visit again and adopt all their puppies? [ He sighs, though. ] Unless they've all been fixed.

They probably adopt puppies all the time to everybody's got homes! So.. maybe it's okay to ask?

[He was considering it...]

[ Hunk takes a moment to think, but then he looks embarrassed, blushing and all. ]

You, uh... you should ask them.

[ And then as if out of fear, he starts hugging at the giant puppy that's still within reach. ]

Worst case, they say no.

Yeah, but that don't mean ya can't come in sometimes and volunteer yourself to play with the dogs all day. I bet between working to calm us down they're bored and wanna go out side and play with a ball.

So I think 'worst case' is we still get to play with these guys!

Hmm... [ And then he looks awayy, emotional stormclouds clearly taking root. ] Even if we're not gonna be a Berserker?

'C-cause I'm not. [ And he looks incredibly sheepish and embarrassed. ] Do you think they'll mind?

Friends are friends, no matter what the asterisk! I'm sure they won't mind.

[chefbayardee]

[ Hunk laughs, and gently hugs the large dog atop him. Man, did he miss dogs! ] The dogs won't mind, but... [ Gulp. ] What about the Berserker Guild? What if they get mad? [ He doesn't want to deal with a bunch of Berserkers, angry that they don't get their puppy time. That sounds like a death sentence! ]

There's a craft room and everything else in there. Plus if they were short on dogs, they'd tell ya, right?

I feel like the berserkers have some kinda system. Otherwise, they're just a bunch of easily-angry people who wouldn't be able to practice their craft anymore, right?

[chefbayardee]

[ As Kanji explains how things seem to work, Hunk just starts grinning. ] You're right! [ The logic was sound, but he was a bit surprised at the idea of a bunch of berserkers having... any kind of organization. ]

So we can probably just show up and play with the dogs. [ And now he sounds comfortable with this idea. He's even smiling! ] Awesome!

Every worker needs a break to play, even a hard-working dog. I'm sure the berserkers would appreciate the extra hand, dude.

Anyway... I think I'm all set with Tippie. You wanna meet 'er? I'm gonna go get some more practice in.

Y-yeah, sure! [ And Hunk scooped Tippie in alongside the larger dog. ] Be careful out there! [ He, on the other hand, was going to continue to drown in dogs. ]
