Where: All over Vaikuntha, starting outside of the airship hanger
What: Ganeshan, the resident Job Expert, will be taking the new arrivals around the the various Guilds so they can collect their chosen Job Asterisks as noted in their applications.

Enter the Master

[Each new arrival's iMog buzzes with a message instructing them to gather for a worldwide adventure to obtain the power of Vaikuntha. If they follow the invitation's instructions, they will arrive at outside of the airship hanger on the morning of the 15th, with their meager belongings packed.

An Enterprise-Class airship, the Ragnarok, hovers outside of the Curti Center. There is a flash of light on the top of the ship.]

"WELCOME!"

[A figure, minuscule at this distance, launches itself off of the ship and hurtles toward the ground. As he draws closer to the ground, he starts to flip, landing with a flourish. An armored figure, sans helm, turns his toothy Zora grin to the crowd. With a shimmer, his armor transforms into a white mage's robe, and he sends a rush of wind through the crowd for dramatic effect.]

"I AM GANESHAN, THE JOB MASTER! GYA HA HA HA! TODAY, YOUR LIVES WILL CHANGE FOREVER."

[Ganeshan shimmers again, ruthlessly abusing the Chemist's Modifier skill to once again shift Job Classes so he can lower the airship's loading dock with a wave of his hand.]

"I BELIEVE THAT EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOU HAS THE ABILITY TO MASTER THE JOB CLASSES. SOME OF YOU MAY MASTER MANY, OTHERS WILL PURSUE THE PERFECT MASTERY OF JUST ONE. BUT EITHER WAY, YOU'LL BE INCREDIBLE!"

[Ganeshan gives everyone a big thumbs-up. The out-worlders who are not scared off by this booming speech can feel free to enter the airship and prepare for their ride around the world. Hopefully some of the Curti Center's newest hires can serve as ~~non-crazy~~ less exuberant tour guides for the new arrivals.]

Around the World

[The Ragnarok will be stopping at every major city in Vaikuntha, with the exception of those cut off by the Imperial border closing. Characters can create top levels to respond to the Guild prompts and explore the cities themselves as the ship makes its stops. Each Guild provides information sessions, free food and trinkets for potential applicants, and once you're ready to receive your Asterisk, all you have to do is take some introductory lessons and fill out forms. Characters can receive up to two asterisks. Time to get to know your new world!

"Not all walls can be broken," he said sadly. The Twilight Town in the computer had been an inescapable cage. In Ryslig, he'd been stuck on the peninsula. A larger cage, but a cage still. He knew about cages.

"Yeah, it's a pleasure to meet you too," the blond agreed, a small smile turning up the corners of his lips. "Maybe this place will be better to us than where we were from before. Hopefully." Right, optimism. Try to keep things positive, like Sora.

"So are you going to become a freelancer? Prove them all wrong?" Roxas asked with a charming smile, the expression becoming more natural now.

Not all walls could be broken... Maybe it was true. But even if it were, she would never stop trying. If she stopped, she might as well renounce life itself. What was the point of living when trapped and unable to get free? Still, she smiled back to him as he showed some optismm.

"I wish I could show that sort of restraint with all those Jobs that were presented to us." She smiled sweetly and shook her head. "But... I really like the idea of being special, in a good way. It wasn't possible back home, but if here it is possible... I think I'm too selfish to let go of that chance." She smiled embarrassingly. "Ahaha, that probably sounded incredibly vain..."

Family was what he lived for. So long as he could find that here, then he could keep moving.

"It's just one," he shrugged. "I can still get another job, and I'll have that even if this one is as useless as people say." Which didn't mean he'd stop trying, just that he'd have something to fall back on.

"No, I don't think you're vain, it's just..." He paused, frowning as he debated his next words. "Sometimes being special backfires." That didn't make too much sense as a hanging thought, but Roxas wasn't certain how to explain his feeling in simple terms and his struggle was apparent on his face. "You deserve to be special if you want to be, though. Don't let anyone tell you what you can't do."

"...." Well, that hit pretty close to home too. How could one at the same time feel so different from everybody else, yet be special? Well, all things considered, you can only be special when you're different from the masses, even if it's because you're lacking something everyone else has.

"Using Jobs is the norm in this world, and they can't do it, right? So in a sense, they're definitely special."

"Maybe," the blond agreed with a shrug and a nod. "People here don't see them as special. They see them as freaks... mistakes." Any happiness he'd managed to build up left his face as he contemplated that thought. Mistakes shouldn't exist and were often 'corrected' by others who thought themselves superior. He'd been corrected once, and here he was making himself into a mistake once more. Such was his life, he supposed.

Somehow this just solidified his resolve, and after a moment the young man clenched his fists and gained a look of determination rather than defeated contemplation. "I just have to make this my own."

"It's painful, isn't it?" She noticed his shift... Ah, that conversation sure had taken a turn for the worse, hadn't it? "Then why do we keep reminding ourselves of such things? We could just have expressed our sympathy toward those people, yet word after word here we are. Sometimes, I think our own mind is our greatest enemy. If we could just not think about those things and be happy, then it wouldn't really matter."

She shook her head. Make this his own...? She wasn't sure what he meant, but that was probably due to the pain he carried. She wouldn't pry. rather, she needed to try and get him back in high spirits. Even if she herself hardly fared any better.

"I think that's what we should do. We should do what we want and be happy. If we did that, it would not matter how we are judged." She paused and laughed. "Ahaha~ Well, I say that, but I'm not so good at following my own advises."

"Our minds, yeah. Or our hearts. I never had this problem before..." Well, that would be a lot to explain now. Not that he didn't think she'd get it, he just found most people didn't really quickly comprehend the whole Heartless and Nobody thing. They both seemed pretty bad at keeping their thoughts positive, Sora or not.

"Oh yeah? Do you worry about others a lot? I don't think I do..." He tapped a finger to his lips, looking thoughtfully up at the sky. "Well, maybe a few special people. But only them. It's okay to care about what the people you care about think about you, but the rest of the world doesn't matter."

"Ahaha, I'm pretty self-conscious." Probably the greatest understatement yet. "I don't think we'd ever feel different or special if we didn't care about what people think about us. We're only different when compared to something, after all. And we only get those feelings get to us if we care about it in the first place."

Oh, she got depressing again, heh? She laughed.

"Gosh, I just can't help myself with these depressing thoughts, heh?" She shook her head. "I think we should go play some of the games in this city to chase away all these bad thoughts.

Well, he supposed that was true. He'd never thought of himself as special until other people pointed it out, and even then he thought he might be status quo for the Organization until problems with the keyblade arose.

The young man perked up a bit at the mention of games. "I love games," he stated, a small smile starting to grow on his face. "What's your favorite game?"

"My favorite game? I can't say I've given much thoughts about it..." A beat. "Doki Doki Literature Club!"

Wouldn't that be a thing if she had said it unironically?

"Ahaha! That's just a joke. I'm not really into tacky romance games." She hopes for his sake that Roxas isn't into them either, that's a bit sad. "What about yours?"
