One of my friends went on an ancient, forgotten pilgrimage to a spiritual promised land to learn the rules behind her weird magic." He says this with a mix of baffled derision and childish wonder. Sure, it's cool, but it was still just a lot to comprehend. They had to navigate by cave poetry.
