Vax tosses the crystal up and down, in one hand. He looks towards where Komaeda was -- the pit he fell into. His breath catches; he doesn't know where he went. He knows, however, where it might be.

"We're not desecrating hope," he says. "Hope's something you make."

His eyes turn, quickly, to Max and S'ree. Then, he looks back at the Moogle. And then, Vax throws the crystal -- in the sense of being a ninja. He tosses it for one of the endless pits further from Kupiaki than him.

"Looks like it flew!" he shouts.
