Being a Chocobo Dad is tough
Who: Kenichi Nakagawa and you
When: Throughout June, with one prompt on June 15
Where: Through out Curti Center
What: Kenichi realizes Chocobos grow very rapidly, and a moment of homesickness hitting very hard.
Warnings/Notes: Alcohol for the second prompt, potential sad feels with a touch of sap. I'll match formats.
1. Chocobo Growing Pains
Three months left to find a new place. That thought weighed heavily on Kenichi's mind as he strolled the streets. He knew he could really pick anywhere once he got a pilot permit but the question was where to call home. Nakagawa was really lovely and it just called to him. The problem was it was rather far from other main cities even with an airship. He looked up at the sky and sighed. That moment of contemplation was crashed by a loud "KWEH!"
Kenichi staggered back as a sudden weight landed on his head. "Ow, ow, watch the talons, buddy!" The once tiny chocobo chick had grown to the size of a full grown chicken. The guild was not kidding when they said they grow really fast.
"C'mon, I told you, you're getting too big to do that," Kenichi sighed while the young chocobo looked rather happy of his accomplishment. "Is this your rebellious teenage phase or something?"
2. A Glass for the One Not Here
As the sun was setting on June 15th, Kenichi wandered into a bar, with Cecil the moogle tailing after him. He had sent a message earlier to Ira that if he was free, he should come down and meet him. For now, he decided to make himself comfortable at the counter. When the bartender approached, the moogle shook his head but Kenichi asked for two pints of beer and some mozzarella sticks. Kenichi put one of the glasses in front of the seat next to him while he took a long drink from his.
"Kenichi, why did you order two? Isn't it gonna get flat if you leave it out like that?" Kenichi put the glass down on the coaster.
"It's not for me. Today's her birthday and that would've been for her if she was here," he slowly explained. Two months since he was brought here but not a single day went by where didn't think about the family back home.
