Connie notes the pause before Lelouch gives his last name, and the odd emphasis he places on it. It was probably nothing, but it was still a good idea to remember his hesitation for future reference. And there was something off about the way he said ally. It was definitely a deliberate choice of words. Allies implied both an uneasy relationship, and some kind of conflict.
