Clarus was just slowed enough at this point that it hit, and hit hard. The whole bar might hear the crash of Cor's fist against the elder man's jaw, the sound of teeth clacking together. The Shield was already reeling, and then the shove. It was almost comical, but it was the opportunistic push that sent him crashing to the ground.

Thankfully he was able to keep his skull from hitting the hard floor, and after a moment to collect himself, he was back on his feet and lunging at the smaller man to try to grapple him and get him in a headlock.
